Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2784: 570: Ancient Times, Mythical Origin, Secret of the Insects!

The Astral World serves as the dwelling of All Gods.
To the majority of lifeforms within the Multidimensional Plane, this realm is perceived as sacred, noble, selfless, and brimming with compassion... and to a certain degree, that assessment is accurate.
Levi harbors specific prejudices against these Gods for various reasons. However, after traversing numerous regions of the Multidimensional Plane, he must concede that the Astral World functions as a genuine sanctuary for many of the weaker civilizations.
This isn't necessarily because the Gods of the Astral World possess noble hearts, but rather because their chosen path to power demands they shield a vast number of followers. They require these people to support them, cherish them, and believe in them to secure their own longevity and divine authority!
Conversely, civilizations that do not require the protection of the Astral World—such as the wizards or the contemporary barbarian tribes—inevitably find themselves in conflict with it. Due to clashing ideologies and their own requirements for growth and expansion, hostility toward the Astral World becomes unavoidable.
Fundamentally, every struggle since the Primordial Era, whether overt or hidden, stems from self-interest; the internal disputes within a civilization are no different. It is not a matter of morality, but rather a reflection of the human sentiment: if one does not look out for oneself, Heaven and Earth will perish.
The Abyss and the Underworld.
The Nightmare and the Astral World.
Chaos versus Order.
Negative balanced against Positive.Slowly, Levi began to grasp the profound wisdom inherent in the Land of Darkness.
Essentially, whether it is the Underworld or the Astral World, these realms are merely instruments utilized by the most formidable Primordial Spirit to stabilize the volatile components within its own being.
Once these tools were manifested, however, they did not always function exactly as originally intended. Nevertheless, as long as the general trajectory remains correct, the outcome is sufficient.
Following the Ancient Era, a delicate equilibrium was established among the Four Great Giants of the world, as they engaged in a cycle of mutual checks and constant warfare.
In the epochs that followed, no other disruptive forces emerged—like the "Abyss Worm" or the "Red and Black Mother"—that could truly jeopardize the Land of Darkness.
Even when unstable elements occasionally surfaced, they were snuffed out prematurely by the Four Giant Worlds, who sought to protect their vested interests.
In this manner, the four worlds and the Land of Darkness maintained a mutually beneficial arrangement.
Levi inquired, "So, is the Astral World also a type of 'Primordial Spirit,' one that sustains those so-called Gods who subsist on incense and belief?"
The middle-aged man offered a profound smile before responding:
"You are half correct."
Levi immediately adopted the posture of a humble student seeking knowledge.
"What do you mean by that?"
The Heavenly Will, whose heart had remained unshaken since the dawn of time, could not suppress a faint surge of pride. This was likely because the future titan standing before him—who appeared to have ties to Sauron—was currently seeking his expertise on history and culture.
He cleared his throat and explained:
"The Astral World is indeed a 'Primordial Spirit' that has endured from the Primordial Era through the Ancient Era; its true form is known as the 'Star Cluster Brain' or the 'Feast Beast.' Its designated role is that of a 'Fantasist.'
The Land of Darkness requires the Astral World to veil the brutal reality exposed by the 'Red and Black Mother.' This ensures that the masses do not spend their days paralyzed by meaningless, indescribable terror. Often, possessing too much knowledge is a burden. It is frequently better to live in a daze, following a set routine."
At this point, the Heavenly Will became visibly emotional. Over the long eons, it had slowly uncovered many of the world's hidden truths, eventually concluding that struggle was futile and choosing to hide like an ostrich in denial.
However, based on recent clues, it appeared that Sauron had refused to surrender to fate. Despite knowing the failures of his predecessors, he had still arranged secret contingencies.
This might have been for his own advancement, or perhaps for Nora's sake. Maybe it was both; regardless, the Heavenly Will now felt a sense of admiration for him.
Levi murmured to himself, lost in thought.
"Feast Beast, Star Cluster Brain... The entity forged by this Primordial Spirit to oppose the Nightmare World isn't the current All Gods, is it?"
The middle-aged man’s gaze grew distant as he replied:
"Correct. All Gods are not the original inhabitants of the Astral World. There is only one type of powerful being truly birthed by the Astral World... the 'star beasts,' also known as the 'Star God,' 'Star Saint,' or 'Star Language.'
During the early Ancient Times, every being under the firmament—whether they were humans, alien races, various giant beasts, the Dragon Clan, or entities born of the Multidimensional Plane—was shielded by the light of the star beasts.
This allowed them to withstand the horrific influence of the Nightmare World. All sentient life sincerely believed in the Star God, offering blessings, prayers, and worship, which gave rise to the primitive rites of faith and the original path of belief.
These paths of belief still persist today, though they have become incredibly frail; most civilizations that walked this path have since vanished.
This occurred partly because they failed to adapt to the process of survival of the fittest, but more frequently, it was because they were targeted by a group of parasitic entities. These parasites fragmented the star beasts, usurped the powers that originally belonged to them, and took their place. They continue to hunt and wipe out the surviving star beast factions to this day."
Levi noted, "And those parasites are the current gods of the Astral World."
"Yes. Since arriving in Nora, I have observed some of your combat projections. You are somewhat acquainted with star beasts, aren't you?"
"I am."
"That is good. It confirms that the remaining star beasts still exist, though they are concealed in locations that are difficult for us to find."
"However, the followers of star beasts within the Multidimensional Plane are now so few as to be negligible. How can these star beasts continue to survive?"
