Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2783: 569: The Nine Great Epochs, Origins of the Abyss!

Levi and a mysterious senior discuss a bold conjecture regarding the true nature of the Land of Darkness, theorizing it may be a colossal, unconventional life form that views civilizations as internal cells and tribulations as immune responses. Their conversation shifts to the boundaries of the Multidimensional Plane, where the senior describes witnessing an endless void and distant lights that suggest the existence of other universes. These revelations lead Levi to reconsider the nature of mirages and his own origins as a transmigrator, questioning if these phenomena are actually nodes connecting different realities. This dialogue opens up the possibility that Levi and Sauron are not the only entities to have crossed over from beyond the spreading darkness.

Levi speculated that the mirage recently triggered by the Land of Darkness acted as a tribulation. It seemed designed to cast him back to his former universe, as his presence likely disturbed the equilibrium maintained by the Creator of the Multidimensional Plane.

Regardless, he was staying put out of sheer stubbornness!

Consequently, he realized he must proceed with extreme caution to avoid falling into such illusions again, for a return trip from that void was never guaranteed.

All jokes aside, after spending two millennia as a transcendent, who would ever choose to return to a mundane modern life as a corporate slave? In this realm, he reigned supreme! Back there, stripped of his supernatural abilities, he would be nothing more than common fodder, destined for a brief life devoid of true freedom.

Levi’s internal turmoil was easily sensed by the man before him.

With a calm expression that broke into a smirk, the man remarked:

"It appears you have also witnessed a mirage."

"I have," Levi admitted.

The man offered no further comment on that matter but pressed on with his explanation:

"Regardless, the foundations we recognize today and the basic structure of the universe only crystallized during the [Dark Era]. Prior to that period, whether the state was chaos or primordial, no genuine life forms existed.

Thus, the grandest deception of the astral world gods collapses under its own weight; even the mightiest among them lacks the standing to have created the world, so what of the others? They are merely a collection of cosmic parasites. Where are the true Gods in this world?

If we view the Land of Darkness as the supreme Primordial Spirit, then during the ensuing Dark Era, certain entities were quietly gestating and evolving within it. One such being is identified as the [Abyss Worm], the [Chaos Worm], or the [Devourer]. Driven by a chaotic yet self-aware consciousness, it relentlessly consumes the matter of the Land of Darkness to fuel its own growth.

This entity is the Abyss. Unlike Nora, the Abyss was not a creation of the Land of Darkness; it is a non-conventional life form in its own right.

If you were to view the Abyss from a distance, you would notice its striking resemblance to a bloated worm. I was uncertain of this theory until my thousand-year imprisonment there; now, I am increasingly convinced of its accuracy.

Within the body of this massive worm, countless [Abyss Worms] are bred, locked in a cycle of endless pillaging and slaughter, which eventually gives rise to demons."

Levi nodded in understanding, as this matched the information from his early studies in abyss general education. Certain demon-lands, saturated with demonic aura over long periods, eventually spawn Abyss Worms that differentiate into various demon types. The demons within the Dragon Ruins Mysterious Realm had manifested in precisely this fashion.

The man continued:

"Therefore, in a sense, demons are truly the most ancient beings in the Multidimensional Plane, predating even the gods. Over eons, the Abyss has steadily swallowed worlds and life, developing the so-called abyss layers and a complex demonic ecosystem. Sauron likely reached the 666th layer before being halted by the Chaotic Servant. What lies beyond that depth is perhaps known only to the Abyss itself."

Upon hearing this, Levi suddenly interjected:

"What exactly is the link between the Abyss Will and the Abyss?"

"I cannot say for certain; however, my humble view is that these [Primordial Spirits] emerged too early. While they possess unparalleled power, they lack the characteristics of standard life forms. They exist in a state between the living and the dead, much like the collective consciousness that forms after the birth of various worlds in the Multidimensional Plane.

The Abyss Will is likely a persona or a conscious manifestation evolved by the Abyss. In any case, such entities generally cannot act directly; they can only exert influence upon the world through indirect channels."

"That makes sense," Levi replied.

"The vast era of abyssal growth and expansion is termed the [Abyss Ancient Era], where consumption and carnage were the only themes.

In the early days of the Multidimensional Plane, death was omnipresent. For the Land of Darkness, the Abyss was like a parasite burrowed deep within its form, devouring its flesh and blood, yet it could not simply cut itself open to remove the threat.

However, it would not merely wait for its own destruction. During my explorations of the Underworld, I found evidence suggesting that to counter this, the Land of Darkness nurtured another [Primordial Spirit] within itself, known as the [River of Death] or the [River of Order]—the [Reincarnator].

This is what we now call the [Underworld Source River]. In essence, the Underworld is a river that branches throughout the entire Multidimensional Plane.

It flows through dimensions hidden from the eyes of mortals, fostering life forms that oversee the cycle of life, death, and reincarnation. Its purpose is twofold: to provide a counterweight to the Abyss and to recycle death into new life in a perpetual loop.

Under this system—excluding those primordial spirits like the Land of Darkness and their kin—the standard life of the Multidimensional Plane, whether they be barbarian tribes or wizards, eternally cycles between these two poles of existence.

This is the Path of Balance, the Path of Order!

Following the [Ming Ancient Era], the world's structure began to resemble its current state, though two players had yet to emerge: [Nightmare] and the [Astral world]. Their development mirrors that of the [Abyss] and the [Underworld]. Ultimately, it is a game of overt and covert power struggles among the original [Primordial Spirits] following the end of chaos.

In my search for specific truths, I traveled to the Nightmare World. Through my research, I named its core the [Red and Black Mother] or the [Mother of Horror], likely the [Truth Seer].

This Primordial Spirit flourishes by feeding on fear and negative emotions. It forces countless beings to face the [Real Face] of the world through dreams and visions—revealing the darkness, the gore, the slaughter, and the cruelty. By amplifying these negative feelings, it grew rapidly during the Ancient Era.

Have you not seen them?

The Flesh and Blood Mother Trees and the Flesh and Blood Mountains scattered throughout the Nightmare World resemble the anatomy of a living creature. We are often too small to see the truth, blinded by a single leaf. Unlike the Abyss, the Nightmare World exists purely in the spiritual realm. Thus, no one can view that world from a divine perspective. If one could transcend these limits and see it as a whole, perhaps my theories would be proven.

To the Land of Darkness, the fear-driven Nightmare World is another unstable element within its body. Consequently, it repeated its previous strategy by supporting another primordial spirit to serve as the opposite extreme of the Nightmare World. This entity also rose swiftly during the Ancient Era, becoming the other pillar of the universe."

Levi whispered, "The Astral world!"
