Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1579 - 544: Descent of the Gods (Part 3)

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
The divine incarnations assaulted the Imperial Palace's reinforced witch array shield, with Hela unleashing a torrent of black water and the Devouring Snake biting through the barrier, creating a massive breach. Elder Ivan rallied nearly twenty Imperial Guardians to intercept the invaders, but Luen, the God of Hunting, fired an Instant Teleportation Arrow that pierced defenses and gravely wounded Ivan's red dragon mount. The Guardians' counterattacks—giant rocks, poison clouds, and witchcraft barrages—were largely nullified as the Devouring Snake devoured the energies and shattered projectiles. Menia then crushed a crystal, summoning the Red Dragon King Straz, who burst from the palace square and spewed a colossal flame cone at the serpentine foe.

Flames stretching hundreds of meters roared fiercely, almost enveloping the enormous serpent's form, and the Devouring Snake sensed injury and torment like never before.

Yet its retaliation struck with equal ferocity. In a swift twist of its head, it coiled around the colossal Red Dragon King resembling a mountain, as the pair of gigantic beasts plunged into fierce close combat.

"Finally, it’s out."

Right then, the God of Hunting, Luen, curved his lips in a subtle smile, lifting the enormous bow anew and targeting the Red Dragon King.

"Not good! Rein, leave this to you, I must go stop the God of Hunting, Luen." Menia’s face shifted in alarm right away.

Since if the Red Dragon King suffers grave wounds, nothing could halt the Devouring Snake's advance.

Forget the other Divine Incarnations watching from afar—even with more than twenty Imperial Guardians uniting their strength, they wouldn't manage to defend the front.

Rather, they'd get brushed off effortlessly like chopping through greens, letting the foe smash straight through their midst!

"Wait, let me handle it." Rein moved ahead, halting Menia, and declared.

Rein understood clearly that even with Menia giving her all, she might fail to contain Luen, and a single error could lead to instant death.

He surely wouldn't allow such an outcome to occur.

"Rein, you....."

Their gazes locked for a brief moment, and Menia caught a glimpse of assurance in Rein’s eyes. She gave a nod, choosing not to push back further.

"Take care."

The moment the words escaped her.

In the very next instant!

Rein vanished from his position, and shortly after, a sleek dark silver dragon, stretching seventy to eighty meters long, materialized next to Luen, unleashing a scorching Fiery Breath that clouded Luen’s vision.

"Oh? Interesting."

Luen kept drawing back the giant bow without dodging at all, as a shadowy layer abruptly formed over his frame, resembling a Divine Power Shield, which effortlessly repelled Rein’s Extremely Old Dragon Level Fiery Breath.

"A very good Talent Ability, perhaps against opponents of the same level, this move can serve as a trump card. Unfortunately, you’re facing a god."

"And what of gods?"

The instant that followed saw Rein’s razor-sharp Dragon Claws slamming deep into the dark layer.

That shadowy barrier proved incredibly tough, bending into two wide curved indents but apparently holding firm against Rein’s assault.

Yet, as Rein let out a mighty bellow and his muscles bulged, "Puchi!" Both claws tore through the dark layer, with one seizing Luen’s arm that drew the bowstring.

"Whew!"

Thanks to Rein’s disruption, the God of Hunting, Luen’s shot veered off from the Red Dragon King and struck a grand estate in the Inner Ring instead, carving out an endless pit in the opulent building that spanned hundreds of square meters.

"It’s you!" Just then, the Nether Sea Goddess Hela surely spotted the abrupt arrival of the dark silver dragon who had foiled Luen’s shot.

As ’old friends,’ Hela instantly identified who the intruder was.

But in the following heartbeat, both Rein and the God of Hunting Luen abruptly disappeared from sight amid the crowd.

Rein had employed Shadow Shifting, dragging Luen thousands of meters up into the heavens.

For Rein realized that clashing head-on against assaults from numerous Divine Incarnations was futile.

Separating Luen by himself offered the sole opportunity to overcome the foe.

"Dragon’s descendant, the ability of Subspace Teleportation consumes greatly, it’s an immense burden for you. I fear you don’t have much Physical Strength left."

"Are you trying to take me into an ambush zone?"

"It’s a pity... I just slightly disrupted your plan, making you disappointed."

Luen remarked with a grin, pulling out a pair of short axes from his belt, appearing utterly unbothered by being pulled away from the rest of the Divines by Rein.

"No! I just don’t want what happens next to be seen by others."
