Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1580 - 545: Whose Hunt Is It?
Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
As the echoes of those words still hung in the air, Rein's dark silver dragon form started to shift once more in an unexpected way. At the bottom of its neck, two massive lumps expanded swiftly, and two Red Dragon’s Heads unfurled rapidly like opening blossoms.
Moments before, he had quietly regained a portion of his energy again.
Sustaining the Extremely Old Dragon Form while repeatedly deploying ’Shadow Shifting’ consumed a great deal of spiritual power, and the second activation drained even more intensely, especially since it involved carrying the God of Hunting, Luen, through the transfer.
"Multi-Headed Dragon Bloodline?"
A flicker of astonishment appeared in Luen’s gaze as he witnessed Rein’s abrupt change.
"Quite the unexpected twist, I must say. But alas, you face a genuine deity. The Multi-Headed Dragon Bloodline alone won’t suffice."
"Sky Splitting!" Luen seized his twin axes, and a faint quiver ran through his arms.
This vibration was so subtle that only careful observation would reveal it.
Yet in the very next moment.
Two streaks of blood abruptly surfaced across the dark silver frame of Rein’s dragon body.
A fierce agony struck, prompting Rein to glance downward where his iron-tough Dragon Scale fractured widely, crimson liquid flowed, and profound cuts materialized on his torso.
"Notice the disparity?" Luen appeared to have executed a minor feat, offering a grin as he spoke.
"This represents the chasm between mortals and divinities—even when levels appear equal, the divide remains immense."
"That said, given your Multi-Headed Dragon Bloodline, I might grant you a chance—kneel at my feet, serve as my subordinate, and I’ll overlook your offense."
Rein felt no shock at Luen’s striking might.
He had clashed with the Nether Sea Goddess Hela on three occasions; at matching tiers, without escalating his own force, he invariably found himself overpowered by the foe.
This stemmed from the gods’ near-perfect sorcery and fighting prowess.
Countless ages had bestowed upon the Divine unmatched battle wisdom, dozens or even hundreds of times greater than that of mortals.
Thus, for a god like his adversary to wield such strength was entirely expected.
"So this is your strength?"
"It feels notably less potent than I anticipated."
While taunting the enemy with words, Rein swiftly mended the injuries across his form.
"Arrogant fool!"
Fury twisted Luen’s features as he whirled the pair of war axes with speed.
"Blade Dance"
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!"
An invisible force strike resembling a Wind Blade struck Rein without delay.
Rein’s dark silver dragon shape erupted with numerous thick crimson lines, nearly turning into a Blood Dragon.
Still, Rein had no intention of staying on the defensive; he lifted a Dragon Claw, summoning a humming dark silver metallic wheel from nowhere.
The instant after, it hurtled with fury straight at Luen’s midsection!
"Pathetic ploy!"
Luen let out a light scoff, then slashed an axe at the incoming wheel.
"Whoosh!"
"Crack!"
A dense, clear Energy clashed against the ’Blade-toothed Disc,’ causing it to shatter right away!
The opposing forces canceled each other out roughly.
For the first time, Rein faced a rival who dismantled his Dawn Killing Move with such ease.
"Useless, huh?"
"Looks like I’ll need to unleash that technique!" Rein pondered inwardly.
The main Dragon Head parted its jaws broadly and spat a cone-shaped blaze toward Luen.
In retaliation, a shadowy barrier rose quickly over Luen’s frame as he once more swung the war axe fiercely at Rein.
To Luen’s surprise, Rein’s remaining two Red Dragon’s Heads released flames at the same time!
Within a flash, flames from all three Dragon Heads surged forth in cones, blending together in the sky to create a fiercely churning orb that emitted a brilliant white glow.
This was the Red Dragon Secret Technique Rein had gleaned from Red Queen Menia’s recollections—"Molten Core Flame."
A supremely devastating assault that demanded the joint effort of three Red Dragons at the Extremely Old Dragon Level, yet Rein performed it alone.
"What!" Luen’s eyes bulged, clearly taken aback.
With such a huge concentration of Fire Element Energy coalescing into a ball, striking it with axes would simply trigger an immediate detonation. Thus, the battle-hardened Luen chose to evade instead.
However, right as he moved to dodge, he realized his right ankle was gripped by Rein’s powerful Dragon Tail.
"Damn it!"
This delay robbed him of the chance to escape. Luen had no choice but to fortify his defenses and endure the complete force of the ’Molten Core Flame’ blast.
"Boom!!!"
A blast wave like a minor atomic burst radiated outward from the lofty skies in every direction.
Enormous white vapors ripped open and dissipated as if torn fabric.
From a distance, observers could spot the vivid white radiance, akin to a tiny stellar detonation, igniting and fading in the heavens!
The glare in that split second outshone the sun itself.
This immense force even drew the attention of fighters clashing high over the Imperial Palace, who looked skyward.
"It’s that technique!" The Nether Sea Goddess Hela recognized it immediately, aware that Rein had deployed the very move that once demolished her Avatar.
"That idiot Luen surely misjudged that mortal."
"Might that cursed Blasphemer Rein evade demise yet again?"
Uncertainty danced in Hela’s eyes, as if debating whether to press onward or pivot back to eradicate the insolent human once more.
