The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2312 The third universe

Cain, Meylin, and the Enlightened One have successfully breached the dangerous Fifth Realm of the Crimson World, arriving amidst the ruins of a continent shattered by war. After a brief period of recovery, they are greeted by the overwhelming presence of the Demon King, who has come to personally assess their growth. While the Enlightened One and Meylin receive powerful treasures to further their cultivation, the Demon King’s focus shifts to Cain’s awakening of the Power of Chaos. Recognizing the significance of this evolution, the Demon King dismisses the others to speak with Cain in solitude.

Cain watched as Meylin and the Enlightened One departed, then shifted his attention toward the Demon King, a calculating glint shimmering in his eyes. Recognizing Cain's silent inquiry, the Demon King offered a faint smile. "I trust that young girl with my life, just as you do. Furthermore, the Buddha is not one to violate a confidence. Even so, the matters we must discuss are exceptionally delicate. Unless they ascend to the rank of Alpha-Omega Overgods, they can play no part in what follows. In that case, it is better they remain in ignorance."

Hearing this, Cain gave a firm nod. Having shouldered the weight of leadership himself, he recognized that when dealing with forbidden knowledge, trust alone was insufficient.

"I take it that things are not progressing well for the Life Path."

"Hahaha." The Demon King let out a soft chuckle at those words. "Ah, the Life Path. I must confess, I am truly terrible at naming things. Adam suffered from the same flaw. I suppose that is a burden all leaders must carry."

The Demon King's reaction left Cain baffled, and he pondered the significance of the statement. The Demon King did not keep him guessing for long; his gaze sharpened instantly as he pressed on.

"What is your exact understanding of the nature of the Life-Freedom War?"

Cain answered directly without overcomplicating his thoughts. "It is a conflict between your side, spearheaded by Depravita, and the Ancient One, who leads the Neo-Angels. The Ancient One seeks the tower's summit to shatter the world's constraints and evolve into a Fourth Realm life form. Conversely, you seek to obstruct him, claiming that reaching the peak will cause the entire structure to collapse and result in total annihilation."

The Demon King nodded slowly, locking his gaze with Cain’s. "Tell me, if you had no ties to either myself or the Ancient One, which path would you have chosen?"

Cain contemplated the question for a moment before meeting the Demon King's stare and nodding.

"The Path of Freedom. I am confident that I possess the power, talent, and destiny required to reach the zenith of the Third Realm. Therefore, if a path forward existed, I would utilize every ounce of my strength to pursue it."

A brilliant scarlet light began to radiate from his eyes.

"We are cultivators. From the moment we step onto this path, we accept death as our constant companion. We cannot permit the fear of it to halt our growth."

Cain spoke with absolute sincerity. If he stood at the pinnacle of the Alpha-Omega Overgod Rank and needed to shatter the barrier of the Crimson World to ascend, he would do so, mirroring the intentions of the Ancient One.

However, unlike the Ancient One, Cain would ensure that mortals were relocated to safety in the event that breaking the boundary caused the universe to crumble, adhering to the tenets of the Scarlet Path.

The Demon King observed Cain for several seconds before nodding in approval.

"I expected such a response from you. Now, while the Ancient One does desire to transcend the tower's limits, doing so will not directly end the Crimson World. However, there is something there that could indeed allow him to bring about its destruction."

The Demon King's expression turned incredibly grave as he continued. "That something is the King of the Crimson World."

Cain’s brow furrowed at the revelation. He understood that the Demon King likely used a simplified narrative to gather allies, but the concept of a 'King of the Crimson World' confused him.

Given that the Crimson World existed on a plane even higher than the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, any entity capable of claiming such a title would surely be a being far beyond the Third Realm.

Noticing the inquisitive look in the Scarlet King's eyes, the Demon King immediately shook his head.

"If you are looking for detailed information regarding the King of the Crimson World, I have none to give. During the Great War, I stood at the top of the power hierarchy, yet even then, I knew only the name and nothing of its history or origins. Rumors suggested he was the architect of this universe, while others claimed he was a mere shard of a powerful life form that died eons ago. I cannot verify any of it."

A sense of disappointment washed over Cain. The history of any Fourth Realm life form was priceless. Thus far, he had only encountered the story of the Ancestor of the Root, and even that offered only a brief glimpse of his demise rather than actual knowledge on how to achieve that level of existence.

Refusing to let his thoughts wander, Cain focused back on the Demon King. It was obvious the conversation wasn't over, and judging by the man's expression, the next part was of vital importance.

"I am unaware of what specific power the King of the Crimson World possessed, but our objective during the Great War was to reach him. By doing so, we could have manipulated the very matrix of the universe to initiate the Unification."

"Unification?" Cain echoed the word, his fists tightening as a sense of dread took hold.

The Demon King noted his reaction and nodded, acknowledging the appropriateness of his fear.

"Yes. We would have dissolved the barriers separating the Crimson World, the Ten Empyrean Suns Universe, and our own home." With a wave of his hand, the Demon King conjured an image of three realms stacked upon one another. The highest took the shape of a tower, while the middle realm was represented by ten suns. And the last...
