Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2629: 1447: Unexpected Situation (Part

“Based on these bite marks, it's clear that no Medusas turned on their own kind.”
Lannis shook his head in denial, “The teeth impressions are tiny and clustered tightly, a sight no one's ever witnessed before.”
Upon hearing Lannis and the rest, Leo Ray's brows knitted even more deeply.
This assault style was truly savage and unprecedented, enough to send shivers down anyone's spine.
He had initially suspected that this abrupt third-party intruder could be a Lord from a different sector, swept here by a twisted dimensional storm and stumbling upon Belinda and her group. Yet, the evidence on the ground suggested it wasn't the work of any outsider Lord.
“Is it possible some Demon Beast forced its way in? Maybe something akin to a Blood Red Sandworm?”
The one-eared middle-aged Catman specialist calmed his nerves and voiced the thought once more.
“No way that's possible. We're in the sacred domain of the Medusas. Beyond that unique hidden tunnel we took, the whole place is sealed by mighty Magic Restrictions. Not even a horde of Tier 6 magical beasts charging together could breach it—not with Spatial Magic or anything else.”
The gray-armored Catman specialist inhaled the thick scent of blood and replied, “I've already inspected it; the Magic Restrictions remain intact. This means the third-party force materialized instantly, catching the guards completely off guard.”
“Materialized out of thin air? That can't be real?”
The Catman specialists traded uneasy looks, beads of cold sweat forming on their brows without notice.
One had to admit, the mystery was deepening—what in the world was this merciless intruder?
“Everyone, snap out of it. The fate of our Lord Leader hangs in the balance. This isn't the moment for doubts and dread.”
Lannis stepped to the lead and started rallying the team into formation.
“You're right, we're nearing their coronation chamber now. Things have gotten trickier, but our mission stays the same.”
Leo Ray steadied his resolve and pressed forward alongside the Catman specialists.
True enough, after crossing a few more zones littered with the same brutal slaughter, they reached a vast chamber.
It retained the eerie white organic architecture, now enhanced with human touches like lines of Medusa carvings, a towering altar, and a gleaming golden seat at the far end.
The chamber brimmed with vibrant adornments, banners waving proudly, evoking a festive ritual atmosphere.
Yet the most shocking sight was the floor covered in mangled Medusa corpses, scattered in chaos, just like the previous horrors. The heavy metallic tang assaulted their senses, sending an icy wave through them.
“Your Majesty of the Humans, Belinda must have been right in the middle of her crowning rite when that enigmatic third-party force struck. The ones setting Magic Traps and lying in wait caught the noise and rushed to help, which is why the aftermath looks so unfinished.”
After sending fellow Catman specialists to scout and stand guard, Lannis gave a nod to Leo Ray and added, “From what we see, the clash wrapped up recently.”
“Our priority is locating the Desert Leader without delay, praying she's still breathing.”
Leo Ray scanned the sea of fallen around him and dove into the hunt with two Stone Spirits.
Despite a full sweep, no sign of Sina or Belinda turned up, nor any hint of the elusive third-party force.
Notably, Lannis and his team recognized numerous victims as Tier 6 Medusa powerhouses, but they proved utterly helpless against the intruder.
This inevitably brought “Corrosion” to Leo Ray's mind, though “Corrosion” either melts victims into dark sludge or takes over as a parasite—nothing like the carnage here.
“Still, it's undeniable: this shadowy third-party force is profoundly strange and tough to counter.”
As Leo Ray mulled over it, the gravelly tone of the gray-armored Catman elder cut through, “We've got a survivor over here!”
At those words, Leo Ray and Lannis hurried over, spotting a faintly pulsing Medusa tucked in a shadowy nook.
Unlike the typical Magic Robes of the guards, she sported a servant's garb, marking her as probably a handmaiden.
“Come to, what went down here?”
Lannis had a Catman Shaman cast the Healing Technique while questioning the servant.
“Those monsters burst right out of the walls and consumed everything in their path without pity!”
Terror twisted her features as the ashen servant's eyes fluttered open, her words tumbling out disjointedly, “The protective shields of Tier 6 powerhouses crumbled under their hunger. No spells touched them. They were savage fiends! The stuff of the worst terrors imaginable!”
After the servant's account, Leo Ray and everyone else shared stunned looks.
Leo Ray's expression darkened further in particular. Her tale edged perilously near a match for “Corrosion.”
“We're buried deep underground, yet no Magical Ley Lines have burst forth, and she says those entities sprang from the odd white walls.”
“Perhaps ‘Corrosion’ has hidden forms, or it's a beast like it? Either way, these abominations are fiercely hostile.”
While Leo Ray weighed this, piercing wails of agony echoed softly from a distant unexplored corridor on the chamber's opposite side.
“What of the Lord Leader?”
Lannis pressed the servant urgently once more.
“Lady Belinda carried Her Majesty Sina that direction…”
The servant raised a trembling hand toward the corridor whence the screams arose, then her eyes rolled back as she slumped unconscious again.
“Your Majesty of the Humans, we have to head there now!”
Lannis inclined his head to Leo Ray, and together they, with the other Catman specialists, dashed into that corridor.
Though the screams didn't seem to stem from Sina herself, her presence there spelled grave peril for her as well.
They sped along the passage bathed in an unnatural white radiance, and as Leo Ray's sight expanded anew, they'd entered yet another subterranean chamber.
In one corner, a handful of burly Medusas unleashed Petrification Light and various Spells in desperation at a spherical white orb hovering midair, all futile as it inched nearer.
And then, the harrowing incident unfolded.
The white orb, once no bigger than a fist, ballooned abruptly, swallowing a sturdy Medusa along with her energy shield—leaving only her enormous serpentine tail whipping wildly.
Next came the sharp crack of fracturing bones, and the devoured Medusa reduced to that lone tail, spraying crimson everywhere.
Seeing this, Leo Ray and his companions gaped in shock.
From afar, it looked like the white orb had encased the Medusa specialist, but in truth, it had outright consumed her.
“So that's what caused the earlier massacres—what in blazes is that entity?”
Leo Ray locked eyes on the white orb, now compacted back to fist size, his forehead creased deeply.
By its dimensions, it was far tinier than “Corrosion,” and its explosive expansion for strikes was oddly distinctive, though its impervious nature echoed “Corrosion” closely.
Just then, as Leo Ray reflected, the white orb detected them and whirled about, hurtling straight at their group like a projectile.
