Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2630: 1448: One Astonishment After Another

Previously on Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong...
Leo Ray and his Catman experts examined the gruesome bite marks on slain Medusas, ruling out infighting, invading beasts, or Lords from other sectors as the cause of the mysterious third-party attack that left the holy land in carnage. Arriving at the disrupted coronation hall, they discovered no trace of Belinda or Sina amid the bodies of powerful Tier 6 experts, only to find a surviving maid who described invincible creatures emerging from white walls to devour everything mercilessly. Following her directions and faint cries, they entered another chamber where Medusas futilely battled a small white floating object, which suddenly swelled to engulf and consume one of them before turning its attention toward the intruders.

As the white floating object hurtled toward them, Leo Ray, Lannis, and the others suddenly sensed a massive wave of murderous aura bursting from the fist-sized round form, clearly signaling its deadly aim.

Leo Ray spotted details on its front.

Across the white round surface, a single black spot sat right in the middle, looking like an eerie eye or a miniature version of “Corrosion” prior to sprouting its tentacles.

“Little Jie, Xiao Jing, give me your power.”

With a mere thought, Leo Ray called forth the unique energy designed to combat “Corrosion,” which rushed from deep within the two [God’s Stone] and fused right into him.

Regardless of what this entity truly turned out to be, given its immunity to ordinary strikes just like “Corrosion,” deploying the Stone Spirits' special energy stood as the optimal option.

“Quintuple Thunderfall Skill!”

From the tip of Leo Ray’s magic wand, a brilliant violet beam shot straight at the foe, transforming the whole chamber into a storm of swirling purple chaos.

Yet, even as the thunderous boom faded away, the white floating object halted briefly but stayed unharmed, then rocketed back with towering murderous intent.

In that instant, Lannis and the other Catman powerhouses unleashed their skills—arrows from bows, hurled spears, swinging axes, magical blasts—countless distant assaults slammed into the target, only to bounce off without effect.

Guided by Lannis and the elder in gray armor, a group of Tier 6 Catmen dashed ahead fearlessly, slashing and clawing with their blades, but they got hurled back, failing to budge it even a bit.

“It’s not just resistant to normal strikes; even the techniques against ‘Corrosion’ don’t work? What on earth is this creature?”

A flicker of shock appeared in Leo Ray’s gaze, and by now, the white floating object loomed dangerously close!

Upon nearing, its fist-sized form abruptly swelled, unveiling a gaping black void of a maw, utterly dark within.

At that moment, Leo Ray realized the black mark on its exterior wasn’t an eye after all, but rather a bottomless chasm of a mouth that swallowed all in its path!

“Lord, watch out!”

In an instant, Little Jie and Xiao Jing reverted to their [God’s Stone] shapes, both leaping to guard Leo Ray.

The moment Little Jie and Xiao Jing emerged, Leo Ray saw the enlarged white floating object clearly recoil in fear, swerving aside to target Lannis instead, who had just steadied himself close by.

“I get it now, I’ve figured out its vulnerability!”

Having grasped the key insight, Leo Ray gestured sharply, unleashing yet another Thunderfall that precisely hammered the white floating object right as it lunged for Lannis.

Another earth-shaking roar echoed, and this time, the white floating object shattered into a heap of white grains, which swiftly scattered into nothingness.

Witnessing Leo Ray triumph over the odd white eyeball, the Catman warriors let out relieved breaths, their faces lighting up with uncontainable thrill.

Though they couldn’t grasp exactly how the Human Majesty pulled it off, the fatal threat had clearly passed, preserving their leader’s life.

“I owe my life to the Majesty of Humans; without your aid, I’d be gone.”

Lannis inclined his head toward Leo Ray, brimming with thanks.

Recalling the earlier devouring threat from the strange white eyeball, the middle-aged Catman leader still shivered with residual terror, beads of sweat forming on his brow.

As the foe closed in, his frame had frozen in place, dodging impossible, leaving him to stare helplessly at the approaching void of a mouth.

It came as no surprise that the Medusa warriors had endured such brutal losses; this peculiar white eyeball proved truly horrifying.

“Clan Leader, no need to stand on ceremony; I simply wield a force that frightens it.”

Leo Ray drew in a steadying breath, swiftly piecing together the ongoing events in his thoughts.

The energy he’d just employed was, of course, the Power of Divine Grace.

He’d deduced this from the foe’s dread of Little Jie and Xiao Jing.

After all, being divine constructs, the Stone Spirits drew their power from a divine foundation, which amounted to a variant of the Power of Divine Grace.

If the enemy shrank from the Stone Spirits’ might, it would naturally recoil from his own Power of Divine Grace as well.

“This proves these white floating objects differ from ‘Corrosion’; they demand distinct energies to vanquish. Still, their looks and defenses mirror each other closely—could some connection exist between them?”

“Regrettably, the ‘Prompting Voice’ offered no divine insight this round; otherwise, I might have revealed the enemy’s real nature.”

“For now, though, locating Sina takes precedence.”

With that in mind, Leo Ray shifted toward the shadowed nook where a handful of quivering surviving Medusa warriors huddled, giving a nod to Lannis, who caught on at once and directed the Catman powerhouses to encircle them.

Upon spotting Leo Ray and his allies—the intruders at the coronation site—drawing near, the Medusas displayed no aggression, instead yielding peacefully to Lannis’s forces as their gear got stripped away.

It made perfect sense; from their shaky postures, the Medusas appeared utterly terrified by the unstoppable strange white eyeball, and viewing Leo Ray as the vanquisher of their horror felt like clutching a lifeline they refused to release.
