Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2915: 592: Frost Giant’s Return! The Mythical Era Returns! (part 2)
Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
The colossal form, stretching a thousand miles high, staggered back several steps involuntarily before regaining its footing. Levi touched down smoothly on the earth, folding his arms, and declared:
"Do you still intend to capture me, sir?"
"You... such a cocky young man. I merely unleashed a fraction of my might before, yet now, I shall hold nothing back.
I am Guman, the mightiest swordsman of the Giant clan, and the blade I wield is named [Flame Soul], an ultimate artifact. I refuse to gain an unfair edge over you. Boss, loan him your shield temporarily, allow him to wield two ultimate artifacts against me!"
The Fire Giant King clearly possessed a fiery disposition. The boss he mentioned was Raffi, the King of Mountain Giants, who held the pinnacle power at level 10 late stage.
Raffi served as the chief among all giants in this domain, boasting the greatest authority, the steadiest temperament, and substantial insight, acting as the archetypal red face in contrast to Guman’s white face.
With a casual flick of his hand, Raffi hurled his shield forward, unconcerned that Levi might flee with the ultimate artifact. It landed with a heavy crash, then returned to its prior position.
"Appreciate it, but I’ll pass."
Bearing only his naked fists, Levi’s battle intent surged as he lunged forward. Clashing with the yielding Grey Mist Monarch failed to play to his bodily strengths; he favored confronting giants and dragons, those resilient foes, trading strikes directly.
"You won’t employ one? Fine, I won’t either."
Guman hurled the [Flame Soul] toward Raffi, his fist the size of a mountain ripping through the atmosphere like a tempest, reducing all in its trajectory to scattered elemental fragments.
Boom!
A level 9 Crimson Emperor Dragon against a level 10 Fire Giant King!
The impact of these two supreme powers echoed the crash of twin meteors hurtling together, releasing boundless megatons of force. Ripples of shock raced outward, startling every giant dwelling in this realm, who lifted their gazes in stunned awe.
"What intense waves. This must be the Giant Kings clashing."
"Hurry, the Giant Kings are likely practicing. Let’s head over to watch."
"Watch out, avoid getting swept up in it."
Throughout the realm, mighty giants hurried to the scene, observing the fray from a distance. One stood as a blazing crimson colossus, towering a thousand miles, unmistakably Guman.
And facing him... it appeared empty.
No, a tiny dark speck existed.
It was a swordsman clad in black armor, sword at his side, battling the Fire Giant King akin to a gnat challenging a peak, trading countless exchanges in mere instants, with no victor emerging.
"How is this feasible?"
"That looks like a human, doesn’t it? How could a human’s power rival Lord Guman’s? Plus, our path has always been one-directional, so how did a human enter our domain?"
"And he appears to be merely level 9..."
"This, this defies belief! He’s surely concealing his actual power."
These giants, cut off from the outer world for hundreds of thousands of years, struggled to accept that a level 9 entity, the frailest among humans, could stand toe-to-toe with a level 10 giant.
In the heat of combat, Levi refrained from triggering any Blood Battle Armor enhancements or invoking Giant Power, depending purely on his balanced, all-around physical prowess to exchange punches with Guman. Luckily, the domain forged by the Ancestor of Giants proved resilient; else, a typical vast world would have shattered eons ago, its plane utterly ruined.
"This human has doubtless employed some breakthrough and explosive core techniques; he won’t endure much longer. Moreover, the ultimate artifact armor adorning him is exceptionally potent, or he’d have been pulverized already, and Lord Guman hasn’t even drawn the Flame Soul Sword."
"Regardless, it remains astonishing. Lord Guman sits at level 10 mid-stage, where typical level 10s shy from facing his blows squarely. This fighter’s just level 9; picture his might at level 10. Incidentally, what’s become of this age?
When our forebears first claimed the Ancestral God’s Land, humans ranked as mere wizards at most, and regarding bodily prowess, they languished at the lowest rung among all races."
Raffi’s expression grew grave; at level 10 late stage, he discerned Levi’s exceptional nature. Inner turmoil stirred him, since the Ancestor of Frost Giants had established strict protocols to safeguard Ancestral God’s Land utterly, including:
Exits permitted but no admissions, and on departure, recollections of Ancestral God’s Land would erase themselves. The forebears decreed the sole potential intruder must possess the emblem from the [Frost Cold Tome], precisely this individual present, and they were to avoid harassing him.
Yet, one might employ certain tactics to gauge his nature; should he prove excessively malevolent and unfit for alliance with the giants, eliminate him outright. If his essence showed reliability, alliance could form, uniting to scheme the Heavenly Chopping!
Judging by the conduct and poise of the black-armored swordsman so far, Raffi felt inner approval, viewing him as balanced, neither fawning nor arrogant, calm and unpretentious. Even under taunts from a volatile figure like the second-in-command, he stayed unruffled, a sign of one destined for grand accomplishments.
Naturally, the most shocking aspect was his overwhelming might!
To join forces with the Ancestor of Giants in scheming the Heavenly Chopping, this individual truly possessed the requisite caliber.
Within the Giant clan’s annals, solely one figure at level 9 had neared this one’s feats, and that was... Gullwig!
Levi’s duel with the Fire Giant King endured an entire month, drawing ever-larger crowds of onlookers, all beholding this matchless confrontation.
Maybe to avoid overwhelming Levi, Guman avoided casting spells. Unwilling to yield despite growing fatigue, it pressed on stubbornly.
As a haughty level 10 mid-stage, a genuine defeat at a youngster’s hands.
Would etch eternal disgrace upon the Giant clan.
Following two additional months of intense combat, all recognized Levi’s prowess, while observing the Fire Giant King flagging in vigor.
Raffi desired to end the bout, but hesitated, fearing it might bruise Guman’s pride.
