Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2806: 573: Supreme Council 25th Seat, God Descends!
Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
The remaining pair of Nightmare Monarchs drew back in silence, keeping their distance as they faced the figure clad in red robes. Without uttering a single word, Edmund vanished through the shimmering door of light.
"That Yermund is truly clutching at any straw he can find."
"To be in such a desperate rush to perish in Nora... does it honestly believe that just because Nora repelled the Abyss three times, it has the right to stand among us?"
The Devouring Sky Demon Lord spoke up, "Pay it no mind; the Nightmare World has no shortage of such beings. We must proceed with our designs. Call forth more Nightmare Monarchs and teach Nora a lesson they won't forget! We shall make Yermund regret his choices through our vengeance!"
The monarchs departed swiftly.
Just before the portal flickered out of existence, an arm encased in black armor reached through. It snatched up a serpent scale that had been torn loose during the struggle and retracted just as quickly.
...
Upon the Sorren Continent.
Feeling a sense of unease, the Snake of the End stared up at the blue sky and drifting white clouds—a sight so unlike the Nightmare World—and slowly began to calm down. It panted heavily, its tongue flicking out repeatedly, stripped of the dignified aura one would expect from a Level 10 powerhouse.
"My thanks to you, thank you all."
Edmund replied with a faint smile:
"It is well deserved, and we thank you for placing your faith in us."
"I never imagined Lord Emmon’s mere presence would be enough to frighten off the reckless Devouring Sky Demon Lord. Truly remarkable, truly remarkable," the massive serpent praised.
Heavenly Will, standing with hands clasped behind its back, let out a silent sigh: "I am growing old. Had I not struck myself with that blade, the Devouring Sky Demon Lord wouldn't have been able to take a single blow from me."
Suddenly, a surge of warmth flooded through the Snake of the End. Its physical form, battered by the Devouring Sky Demon Lord, began a slow process of mending, though the patch where the scale had been lost proved stubborn. That was no ordinary Snake Scale; it contained a fragment of origin power.
The one performing the healing was the Dusk Palace Master, his hands glowing with a soft green light. His complexion was somewhat pale, making it clear that the effort was taxing him.
"Phew, that should do it. Even though healing an original scale is a heavy task at my current realm, how are you feeling?" Levi asked, catching his breath.
He wasn't putting on an act; he was genuinely drained. Treating a Level 10 wound was a world away from a Level 9 injury, and the Power of the Green Emperor Dragon within his body had been nearly spent.
"I am grateful, Sir Levi. You have saved me a great deal of recovery time."
The Snake of the End felt a wave of gratitude; the Dusk Palace Master, who seemed so rugged, was surprisingly thoughtful. A moment later, Levi opened his hand to reveal a dark, ringed scale.
"This scale belongs to you; I saw that you were too preoccupied with your flight to reclaim it," Levi noted.
The Snake of the End glanced aside, seeing the Legendary Wizards occupied with their own conversations or preparing to leave. Edmund, however, seemed to have matters to discuss and remained watching.
The serpent let out a laugh: "Hahaha, it matters not. It is but a single origin scale, so I shall gift it to you. Without your mediation, none of today’s success would have happened."
What a grand gesture and broad perspective!
Levi did not engage in false modesty and accepted with a sincere bow: "In that case, I will not refuse. Thank you."
With the formalities concluded, Edmund escorted the Snake of the End toward the Supreme Council. The next order of business would undoubtedly be the deliberations regarding the establishment of the 25th seat.
Satisfied, Levi made his way back to the Ancient Dragon Continent.
"Hehehe, a Level 10 Mythical-grade original snake scale... what a find."
Even though he was still a long way from reaching Level 10 himself, he had to gather the components necessary to refine his divine weapon and wizard tower. This specific scale would be perfect for the reconstruction of the Nightmare Helmet.
...
A year passed by.
The Supreme Council issued a proclamation regarding three major developments that shook the realm:
First, the Mythical entity known as the "Lord of the End" had officially joined the Supreme Council as its 25th member, taking on a vital military role within Nora.
Second, the "Nightmare Command Center" was temporarily established. Edmund was named Minister, while Daydreamer, the Lord of the End, and the Blue Dream Star Lord were appointed as Deputy Ministers. The Dusk Palace Master was brought on as an advisor.
Third, the citizens were urged to continue their war preparations. Regardless of the foe, Nora would resist until the very end.
The release of these three decrees sent ripples of shock through the populace.
The first point was easy enough to swallow; if a sentient tree could sit on the council, a snake certainly could as well.
However, the creation of the "Nightmare Command Center" carried a heavy omen... it implied the Nightmare World was preparing to invade Nora. Having only just fended off the demons, they now faced the Nightmare Creatures without a moment's peace.
Furthermore, would the demons use this chance to align with the Nightmare World? Would the nearly destroyed Council of Ten Thousand Clans attempt a resurgence?
Anxiety took root, and rumors spread like wildfire.
The members of the Ancient Dragon Continent were equally troubled. Many of them held positions within the Nightmare World and could feel the tension. Sensing the mood, Levi called for a meeting of the high-ranking members.
Elena, Triss, the eighteen Twilight Cavalry, Garcia, and the Saint Emperor Zhou—all the powerful figures gathered within the Emperor’s Palace.
"Hall Master, is a war with the Nightmare World truly upon us?"
"What should be done about the Black Dragon Territory? Do we need to pull out?"
Every person there had traveled to the Nightmare World and knew firsthand the terrifying depth of that Giant World. Their concern was palpable.
Levi addressed them:
"First, while the Nightmare World may indeed move against us, the details are still murky. Regardless, we must be ready for combat. Second, operations in the Black Dragon Territory will continue as usual, but stay alert. Daydreamer and I will be watching closely. If things take a turn for the worse, I will order everyone to logout immediately; our lives are the priority."
...
At the same time.
Upon the Yellow Earth Continent.
At the site of the former Mirror Lake Land.
Daydreamer arrived at the ruins of the Dreamland Steeple accompanied by two Grand Wizards. He deactivated the sealing array, venturing into a region where space itself was warped. Streaks of crimson and black light pulsed from within.
