Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2788: 570: Ancient Affairs, Mythical Origin, and the Secret of the Insects!

"What is the reason behind the Dark Insects' assault on the astral world?"
"It is difficult to say. Regardless, since the Ancient Era began, the astral world has remained the most vulnerable point in this universe. Despite this, it has never been conquered. Its resilience stems from the fact that it was forged through the union of two mighty Primordial Spirits: the Star Cluster Brain and the Star Worm.
However, during my imprisonment within the Abyss, I happened upon a demon carrying Magic Tools crafted from insect remains. This leads me to believe that the Dark Insects might not have targeted the astral world initially; they likely struck the Abyss first, only to retreat swiftly and redirect their onslaught toward the astral world instead."
Hearing this caused Levi’s heart to sink.
Given the predatory nature of these insects, shouldn't they simply consume everything in their path? Why would they withdraw from the Abyss after the first encounter? Is it possible that an agreement was reached between the insects and the Abyss? Such a pact is highly plausible for two civilizations defined solely by their hunger for devouring and destruction.
A dark premonition suddenly gripped him.
If these insects truly date back to the Primordial Era as Primordial Spirits, could they share a lineage with the Abyss Worm? Perhaps, following their initial clash, they recognized their shared bloodline and formed an alliance, plotting together within the Land of Darkness!
The situation was becoming increasingly convoluted.
The depths of the Land of Darkness were far murkier than he imagined.
Even a single universe contained such overwhelming troubles. Levi felt a sense of relief that travel between universes was so restricted; otherwise, the situation would be truly hopeless.
Furthermore, the arrival of these insects aligned perfectly with the start of the plane convergence. Levi knew from the Supreme Council that this convergence was another of Sauron’s machinations. Could the insects' appearance also be attributed to Sauron’s handiwork?
If that were true, Sauron was a complete lunatic!
Wait—a sudden thought struck Levi, causing his expression to shift.
He reflected on the historical rise of the four great worlds. Perhaps Sauron intended to throw the entire status quo into chaos, utilizing the insects' power to topple the existing four poles. This would force the emergence of an unstable Fifth Pole, allowing the Land of Darkness to "bloom thrice" and foster a power capable of resisting the insects to maintain a balance.
If this theory held, Nora currently possessed the greatest potential within the Multidimensional Plane... The Shadow World might have once had a chance, but it was crushed by the giants before Sauron arrived, its path to ascension severed. Now, Nora had surpassed all others in both foundation and growth potential.
Nora was unique compared to the previous four worlds; it wasn't raised by Primordial Spirits. Instead, it was a cell of the Land of Darkness itself, evolving from a common world within the Multidimensional Plane.
Though its origins were humble, the rise of wizards allowed it to stand out rapidly among the countless Multidimensional Planes. Excluding the prehistoric times lost to history, its actual development spanned a mere 300,000 years!
This duration was nothing more than a heartbeat compared to those who had endured the Ancient, Underworld, and Primordial epochs.
The seamless execution of Pan-Plane convergence, Nora’s ability to defeat the Abyss three times despite being the underdog, its continuous streak of luck, the surge of geniuses, and the explosion of its civilization—these were not just the result of the wizard civilization’s efforts or the schemes of Sauron and Edmund. They might also be due to the silent support of the Land of Darkness itself!
Otherwise, would the Land of Darkness truly ignore the aggressive fusion of thousands of planes? Would the giants of the Overworld, who serve as the pillars of the Land of Darkness, really help Nora simply because of Sauron?
These events were both the inevitable result of history and the product of Sauron’s secret manipulations, combined with the Land of Darkness adapting to the era. A multitude of complex factors had converged to create the Nora of today!
The ascension of Nora was a staggeringly complex series of events! In the end, it was a clash between Supreme Existences and their respective civilizations, with the Land of Darkness serving as the chessboard.
The man gave a faint, knowing smile and remarked:
"Doesn't it all start to make sense when you look at it that way? I congratulate you; you are beginning to grasp the true nature of this world. While I have great expectations for you, the reality is that in the years to come, you may find yourself trapped in a cycle of wanting to change the world while feeling utterly helpless.
As the river of time has flowed to this point, the giants have already claimed most of the power and resources. Every step forward we take, every breakthrough we achieve, is like stealing meat from a tiger's mouth. At any moment, we might not live to see another dawn. This is the inherent powerlessness of ordinary life.
No matter how strong you grow, even if you endure the Ninety-nine Eighty-one Tribulations Sauron speaks of and reach Level 11, you will still appear insignificant next to those eternal entities who have held power since the beginning of time. This is the reality I once witnessed. We cannot alter the grand design; we can only choose to view the sky from the bottom of our well, living within our own small worlds. That must be enough."
His speech left a profound impact on Levi.
The road to Shu is indeed more difficult than climbing to the heavens!
Regardless of whether his theories about the Heavenly Will were accurate, Levi understood that the Land of Darkness was destined to be a brutal place.
Peace and beauty were nothing more than a Mirage.
Still, he was not broken. He wasn't a genius strategist like Sauron, nor was he born as a Primordial Spirit overlord. His only option was to keep moving forward, continuing his Cultivation on the path he had chosen!
