Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2786: 570: Ancient Secrets, Mythical Origins, Insect Race Mysteries!

Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
Levi uncovers the hidden history of the astral world, learning that the current gods are "parasites" born from a primordial entity known as the Star-devouring Worm. This conqueror usurped the native star beasts, the true gods of the realm, leaving only a few survivors like the nomadic Creno Ode. Discovering that his own Rune Language connects to these ancient powers, Levi realizes why certain cultivation paths have reached their limits. Armed with this knowledge, he discusses the origins of Nora’s orthodox gods with the mysterious middle-aged man, further unraveling the secrets of the Double Dragon Empire.

Levi gave a quiet nod, prompting the other man to carry on. This gesture convinced the Heavenly Will that Levi was undoubtedly one of the contingencies established by Sauron. If he weren't, there was no way he could possess knowledge of such archaic mysteries—secrets that even some Legendary Wizards remained ignorant of.

He proceeded with his explanation:

“The Star Dragon King and the Blood Dark Dragon King stand among the rare few of the Dragon Clan who transcend the level of mythical beings; thus, they are hailed as Dragon Kings. However, being members of the Dragon Clan is merely one facet of their identity; they possess another side, one shrouded from the world’s eyes.”

Understanding dawned on Levi as he spoke:

“Star Beast!”

The middle-aged man offered a smile and replied:

“Precisely... Following the Star Worms' invasion of the astral world, countless Star Saints plummeted from the Sky Dome. Their light faded, they were stripped of their Ancient God Power, and they lost their sanctuary within the astral world, yet they did not perish entirely.

A vast number of them shifted into fresh life forms. These are what we call ‘Mythical Creatures.’ Whether you speak of the Dragon Clan, the Frost Giant, or even the World Tree, nearly every formidable life form born this way is an evolution of the Star Gods. To put it simply, the astral world was their original home.

The peak of their kind would be the Star Dragon King and the Blood Dark Dragon King. Their strength and longevity far surpassed other Mythical Creatures. Furthermore, the Star Dragon King once led all Star Beasts. After its Divine Enthronement, it bifurcated into the Dragon King and the Star Beast, resulting in the final two of the Seven Orthodox Gods.

The Star Beast, having transitioned into the ‘Lord of the Stars,’ is also referred to as the ‘Star Herder’ or the ‘Shepherd of the Astral World.’ I assume their titles originate from this. Seeking an eternal lifespan, the Star Dragon King betrayed both the star beasts and the Blood Dark Dragon King to pursue Godhood. The astral world wished to avoid open conflict with it and chose to bring it to heel, yet it still dreaded the King's power. Consequently, the Star Dragon King was forced to divide its essence, severing itself in two.

As for the other Mythical Creatures, once they lost their status as Star Gods and the protection of the astral world, they changed from nearly eternal beings into what you wizards term ‘longevity species,’ possessing lifespans of only tens of thousands of years. If they realized this, they might find it quite cynical... for is a life of a few tens of thousands of years truly considered long?”

A wave of helplessness washed over Levi. To the more modest, common inhabitants like humans—a short-lived race—tens of thousands of years seemed like an eternity!

The middle-aged man clearly perceived Levi’s reaction. While the barbarian tribes were somewhat more robust than humans, his previous remarks weren't intended to belittle humanity; rather, they were a form of self-mockery, given that the lifespans of barbarians and humans are roughly comparable.

They are two races sharing the same misfortune.

His eyes seemed to drift back to the years following the Star Dragon King’s wars. He began to reveal many pieces of hidden lore he had unearthed and kept buried, sharing them now with this individual he suspected to be Sauron’s successor.

Even though Sauron had once slighted him by borrowing things and never returning them, it now seemed as though that had been part of a long-term strategy all along.

The Dark Ancient Tower and the liberation of Nora were Sauron’s methods of repayment. At this moment, the Heavenly Will seemed to view Sauron as the only person who truly understood him.

“You must be aware that even before the ancient eras, the Multidimensional Plane was defined by the Mythical Era. In those times, the Mythical Creatures roaming the Universe were far more abundant than they are today. They were once the very stars in the heavens, with the blood of Ancient Gods pulsing through them.

Yet their lives were too fleeting, and many were hunted by the Heavenly Father or forced into servitude as mounts and lackeys. To preserve their existence and ensure their strength could be inherited through the ages, they developed something known as a ‘Bloodline’—a power beyond simple description.

I suspect you have your own realizations regarding this, as the path of knights is fundamentally the Bloodline Path, is it not, Sir Levi?”

Levi gave a slight nod upon hearing this.

This Heavenly Will truly acted like an All-Knowing deity who grasped everything, completely shattering Levi's previous assumptions about the barbarian tribes.

The middle-aged man stood tall with his hands clasped behind his back, his head held high as he radiated an air of absolute certainty. He declared: “When it comes to the bloodline, I likely know as much as you do... primarily because I am the one who coined the term.”

What on earth?

That was Levi’s immediate reaction. He hadn't been particularly stunned before, but this revelation truly jolted him; could the man standing before him actually be the progenitor of all knights?

He was aware that Sauron hadn't founded the path of knights, as Sauron’s own clues indicated that the Bloodline Path predated the wizard's path and was far more ancient. However, Sauron had never identified the creator of the bloodline.

To his surprise, it was this man.

The Heavenly Will arched an eyebrow, but sensing that Levi might be jumping to conclusions, he clarified:

“While I may have established the concept of the bloodline and successfully grafted it onto humans to a degree, I ceased my efforts for specific reasons. The human responsible for creating the majority of your knight bloodlines and breathing techniques is someone else. You will learn their identity in due time; essentially, I can only be considered a partial creator of the knights.”

He then went on to describe his discovery of the bloodline and the Evolution Stone Plate to Levi. Following this explanation, Levi’s opinion of the Heavenly Will grew significantly more positive. He admired the man's dedication to research and was surprised by his humility—the man likely wouldn't even protest if Levi had called himself the Ancestor of Knights.

He continued:

“By clinging to the bloodline, certain Mythical Creatures managed to endure through the generations. They might perish, but their strength, their marks, and their presence in the Multidimensional Plane persist. Some might choose to split and diminish their own power, branching out repeatedly to ensure their lineage isn't entirely wiped out by the astral world.”
