Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2773: 568: Edmund’s True Form, Supreme Twenty-Four Seats!

Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
The war in the Land of Darkness has reached a fever pitch, with various fronts locked in high-stakes combat between the defenders of Nora and the invading demon lords. While the Heavenly Will and the Nine Death Swordsman hold back their respective adversaries, Edmund has pushed the Earth Demon Lord to the brink of collapse after a month of relentless fighting. Refusing to let the demon escape, Edmund discards his human appearance to reveal his true form: a colossal elemental entity composed of spiritual force and ten thousand suns. Now existing beyond the limits of traditional humanity, he risks his own existence to permanently eliminate the Earth Demon Lord and secure Nora’s future before even greater threats from the Abyss can arrive.

Driven by the intent to slaughter as many foes as possible, Edmund knew he had to push his limits. Even if unsealing the True Sun carried the risk of unpredictable costs and dire consequences to his own being, he had no other choice!

The Earth Demon Lord’s expression twisted with terror as a long-forgotten sense of hopelessness gripped its heart. Throughout the passage of countless eons, it had never experienced such dread... After all, during Sauron’s previous rampage through the Abyss, the demon lord had been away on a mission rather than in its own domain.

The surface of its colossal true form, stretching for tens of thousands of miles, was riddled with scars resembling lunar craters. These were lingering wounds inflicted by Edmund’s formidable predecessors, injuries that proved nearly impossible to mend.

Boom!

The palm of the True Sun descended—a hand of radiant golden fire, like the limb of a deity sweeping across the cosmos. Celestial phenomena erupted as phantasms of the Golden Crow, Phoenix, and Fire Dragon swirled within the blaze, illuminating the night of Nora until it was as bright as high noon!

Across the various theaters of war, both demons and wizards halted their carnage, sensing the catastrophic disturbance emanating from Edmund’s position.

"Is... is that the Grand Council Chairman?"

Lady Rowling spoke, her voice laced with astonishment.

"Could Lord Edmund be undergoing ascension?"

The Blue Dream Star Lord asked, a hint of anxiety in his tone.

Even the Nine Death Swordsman wore a grim expression. He had assumed Edmund had exhausted his repertoire during the earlier mission to rescue the Heavenly Will... It now appeared the man had been holding back. This level of might likely had one foot through the door of Level 11, rivaling those entities residing just before the 666th layer of the Abyss.

The Heavenly Will was equally stunned. It had always estimated Edmund’s Cultivation to be on par with its own peak state, but it realized now it had been arrogant... Its ultimate form was far overshadowed by Edmund’s current display of power.

It was no wonder this man possessed such absolute certainty regarding the merger of the Heavenly World and Nora. He was perhaps the closest anyone had come to the legendary Sauron, undoubtedly the second most powerful figure since the dawn of the wizard civilization. Within the Pan-Plane, he was likely surpassed only by the enigmatic and long-missing Fire Sovereign.

However, the Heavenly Will viewed Edmund’s current state with apprehension; the nearer one drew to Level 11, the greater the calamity that followed... particularly for one like Edmund, who was already caught in the schemes of the Giant World.

"Edmund! Control yourself!"

The Heavenly Will sent a telepathic warning to the scarlet figure, praying he would remain stable. Sacrificing himself to destroy the enemy would still result in a loss for Nora. The barbarian tribes and the wizards were now bound by a shared destiny.

Meanwhile, the Wind Demon, the Lady of Desire, the Shadow Demon Queen, and other Abyssal powerhouses used every trick available to flee the area. None dared to assist the Earth Demon Lord. They speculated that Edmund was using a forbidden ascension technique, burning his Vitality Life Span to reach a higher state. Once his strength was spent, they could win this Blood Battle without further risk!

Despair consumed the Earth Demon Lord; it regretted entering this fray. It now understood why the ancient horrors at the bottom of the Abyss had remained in their dens.

It ignited its Demon Body to intercept the colossal hand. In the clash between earth and flame, the fire proved dominant, shattering and liquefying the Earth Demon Lord’s physical vessel.

Its potent Demon Soul tore free, desperately trying to flee, but Edmund’s massive hand snatched it. Enveloped in crimson flames, the soul was reduced to a pile of cinders. The Mother River had been waiting; its dark currents swept the Earth Demon Lord’s true soul away as chains held by the King of the Underworld manifested to bind it tight.

"No! No! Chaos Servant Lord... deliver me!"

The Earth Demon Lord’s agonizing shriek rang out across the Land of Darkness.

It was filled with bitter resentment. It was the mightiest and the final lord to arrive... yet it was the first to fall.

Edmund clearly possessed the strength to kill the Wind Demon Lords earlier but had waited specifically for its arrival!

What a hateful deception!

In a dimension beyond description, the Specter of the Chaotic Servant watched the Earth Demon Lord’s struggle without moving. Across the distant Mother River, the Netherworld Ancestor stood with a drawn blade, watching coldly, prepared to strike if the Specter interfered.

Thus, Valerid, the ruler of the 653rd Abyssal layer and one of the Four Great Demon Lords, was struck down instantly by the Legendary Wizard Edmund. The "Arcane Terminator" had successfully terminated a lord.

Since ancient times, no lord from beyond the 600th layer had faced a true Death... the Earth Demon Lord was the first, but it would not be the last.

The chaos of the battlefield slowly subsided.

As the fiery radiance dimmed, the other experts of the Supreme Council gazed at the scarlet silhouette, paralyzed by awe and hesitating to draw near.

"Grand Council Chairman?"

"Lord Edmund?"

The scarlet aura slowly evaporated, revealing Edmund in his original form.

"I am still here... let us return."

Across Nora, the Heavens, Pandora, the New World, and the Land of the Four Seas, countless wizards and warriors turned their eyes toward the crimson-stained crystal wall.

They felt a mix of shock, confusion, and hope. Years of brutal warfare had taught them that such massive disturbances were usually the work of the Grand Council Chairman, though never had the light been this intense. Was it possible the Grand Council Chairman had attained Level 11?

If that were true, Nora still had a chance!

On the Sorren Continent, the Dragon Flame God sat atop the Tower of Heaven, his face pale and weak. The Endless Fire Nest Demiplane behind him had lost its luster. However, after a month of relentless slaughter, the Nora Council had finally stabilized the front lines. He needed only to rest and recover.
