Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2768: 567: Armor Unsealed, Blood Battle Against the Demonic Horde!
Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
Amidst the inferno of conflict, rescue squads mobilized one after another as Star Castles began their ascent. Naturally, certain regions protected by massive defensive arrays or formidable primordial soul wizards remained secure, standing firm against the devastating aftershocks.
As the unification of the Heaven Continent reached its conclusion, Edmund finally exhaled and released his hold. He cast his gaze toward the firmament where the powerhouses of the Supreme Council, the barbarian tribes, and the supporting Nine Death Swordsmen were blockading the demons within the Land of Darkness, struggling to hold the line. However, due to its proximity to Nora, the crystal wall stretching for millions of miles above the Heaven Continent was now splintered with violent fractures that refused to mend quickly.
The celestial dome lay shattered, and the creeping darkness began to corrode the world.
Edmund lifted his arms, and from the oceans rose several Great Suns, which he embedded into the gaps of the crystal wall, causing the corrosive energy to retreat like a receding tide. Once he had stabilized Nora’s injuries, Edmund shifted into a streak of crimson flame, crossing the distance to the battlefield in a heartbeat.
Currently, the Frost Witch was restraining the Earth Demon Lord, though the demon clearly possessed the advantage. This was due to its exceptionally high magic resistance and the fact that, while Gullwig had rapidly ascended through her realms using Giant Power and possessed great strength, her cultivation foundation was still somewhat insufficient.
A black-hole-like punch tore through the air toward Gullwig, causing the surrounding starlight to dim. She intercepted the blow with a frost-longsword, her face flushing an unnatural red as a muffled groan escaped her lips, her spiritual force flickering with instability.
"Withdraw for now and protect Nora!"
The moment the command was uttered, Edmund and the Frost Witch swapped locations. The massive punch, carrying the catastrophic force of crumbling mountains and splitting earth, struck again.
Edmund raised his right hand. A solar flare expanded and detonated, repelling the gargantuan stone fist while he remained perfectly still.
The Earth Demon Lord narrowed its eyes at the sudden arrival of Edmund, its expression turning grave. It grinned and remarked, "As expected of the Grand Council Chairman. You are far more powerful than that woman; you are truly worthy of being my rival."
Its stone statue demon true form, which rivaled the size of stars, began to collapse and condense. It eventually shrank into a ten-foot-tall figure, its extreme density radiating a sense of absolute destruction!
"Can you withstand this strike?"
The demon delivered a simple punch that plowed through the void, carving a million-mile-long wind tunnel in space that pulled in and pulverized everything in its path!
Edmund countered by thrusting his palm forward. One, two... a total of nine phantom red flame stars manifested, lining up like a massive candied hawthorn stick that spanned millions of miles. The fist wind was instantly snuffed out, and with momentum unabated, the Earth Demon Lord’s silhouette was swallowed by the blaze!
A howl of agony erupted from the demon as it stared at a fissure forming on its chest. Its stone body had turned a glowing red, looking as though it were on the verge of melting.
"How can this be?"
Despite its high realm and magic resistance, it had been wounded in a single exchange. Edmund’s prowess was surely equivalent to those beyond the 660th layer of the Abyss.
Seizing the opening, Edmund showed no mercy. This time, twenty-four red flame stars began to rotate clockwise, trapping the Earth Demon Lord within their orbit.
Edmund spoke with cold composure, "Nothing is impossible. Let alone a single punch, I can endure ten thousand of your strikes... but the question is, how many of my techniques can you survive?"
...
Within the Barbarian Ancestor Hall.
With the fusion finished, the Heavenly Will—which had long shielded the Heaven Continent from the tides—stood up from its throne. Seeing that the barbarian clans were unharmed and the landscape remained intact, it felt a sense of relief.
In the Land of Darkness, various powerful figures were locked in a stalemate. Following its self-detonation, the Heavenly Will’s power had plummeted from the Peak of Level 10 to the Late Stage of Level 10. Though it was only a minor drop in realm, it represented a loss of countless years of progress. Beyond Level 10, every minor step was more grueling than crossing an entire major realm in the past.
Recalling the trials of the last few millennia, its thirst for battle reignited. It felt as though it had returned to those early, brutal years of the barbarian tribes, struggling against the heavens and warring with Gods... finally, a bolt of lightning tore into the gloom.
This time, it would fight until the very end!
...
Heaven Continent.
"Kill!"
The Divine Light Knight commanded the members of the Dusk Holy Temple’s Heaven Branch in their clash against the demonic hord. Having achieved Level 7 early and practicing a Legendary-level breathing technique, her advancement was rapid, recently reaching the Late Stage of Level 7. Suddenly, a Level 8 Flame Demon charged onto the field with a sinister cackle.
"Form the array! Form the array!"
As she shouted, a shadow blurred across the battlefield, slaying the Level 8 Flame Demon in a single motion. She looked up, realizing a Level 8 Peak Shadow Demon was assisting them, and then she turned her eyes to the sky.
A golden radiance blanketed the clouds, making the sky appear as if it were plated in dragon scales. At the heart of this golden realm, seated upon a throne, Levi spoke with the authority of a Heavenly Patrol Emperor:
"You have all fought valiantly during this time. Withdraw from this combat zone for now and return to the Ancient Dragon Continent. We will resume our work on the Heaven Continent once this wave of war has subsided."
Given the ferocity of the battles near the Heaven Continent, Levi had prioritized locating his subordinates over hunting demons once the war broke out.
The faces of the members below beamed with relief and joy.
"Understood, Hall Master!"
"He’s so magnificent!"
The Divine Light Knight also looked visibly moved.
"Our thanks, Commander! We shall retreat immediately."
Levi gave a slight nod, watching the Star Castle depart before heading to his next destination. The blood battle armor within him pulsed with a thirsty longing. He was confident that the Ancient Dragon Continent's defenses could withstand this conflict. Only a Level 10 powerhouse acting in person could hope to breach its fortress-like security.
It wasn't long before he spotted a new target: a Middle Stage Level 9 Flame Demon besieging a large barbarian tribe. A Warlord Level warrior was fighting it with a spear, but after half a day of combat, he had yet to gain the upper hand.
