Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
In the depths of the Abyss, the history of the barbarian tribes and their ancient struggle for power is revealed. Seeking to escape the cycle of religious servitude to the Beast God, the legendary leader Kui embarked on a quest to unlock the secrets of innate strength possessed by mythical creatures. Through rigorous research across the planes, Kui pioneered the concept of bloodlines as the source of transcendent power. However, early attempts to fuse these powerful essences into the barbarian race have met with failure, leaving the secret of the bloodline breathing technique tantalizingly out of reach.
A flicker of hope remained within it, sparked by the preliminary triumphs of the Humans. It persisted in its observation and analysis of those transcendent entities, driven by the desire to forge cultivation methods capable of tapping into the latent potential of these bloodlines.
However, an invisible wall constantly obstructed its progress, stalling every attempt at a research breakthrough. Kui labeled this theoretical obstruction the "Evolution Stone Plate," signifying a barrier standing in the way of evolutionary advancement.
It was Kui’s conviction that the [Evolution Stone Plate] served as an "anti-counterfeiting mark." It believed some inconceivable entity had woven this into all bloodlines to preserve the fundamental order and structure of the cosmos, specifically to impede the evolution of Humans, barbarian tribes, and other similar races.
If this were not the case, why could naturally powerful transcendent creatures utilize these bloodlines when the barbarian tribes could not, despite possessing the same flesh, bone, and lineage?
Kui remained steadfast in this belief. The Evolution Stone Plate had to exist, and if it could be shattered, the barbarian tribes would surely ascend by harnessing the bloodlines of apex predators. Sadly, this remained a hollow premise. At its current cultivation realm, it lacked the power to even prove the theory’s validity, let alone destroy such an ethereal concept.
What Kui did not realize was that its efforts might have been the first legitimate attempt at the Bloodline Path in the entire history of the Multidimensional Plane. Unknowingly, it had set changes into motion that merely required time to come to fruition.
Remaining grounded, Kui utilized its vast knowledge and years of research into the path of faith to develop a "Totem Path" uniquely designed for the barbarian tribes.
In a sense, this remained a path of faith; however, it shifted and decentralized devotion away from the solitary Beast God toward various mighty beasts, incorporating optimizations specifically for the barbarian tribes.
The Totem Path employs faith to harvest power from giant beasts, allowing practitioners to serve the beast spirits during cultivation, supplemented by the superior combat techniques of the barbarian tribes. From a level-1 Warlord to a level-6 Soul Lord, the connection between the tribesman and the totem intensifies. Upon attaining the rank of level-9 Barbarian Lord, the relationship could even be inverted, placing the barbarian tribe member as the master and the totem as the subordinate.
Yet, when Kui sought to break through to level-10, it was once again met with obstacles.
Level-10 represents the Divine Realm, a chasm that is notoriously difficult to bridge. Even the Energy Sect requires tens of thousands of years of meticulous planning to reach level-10, proving its immense difficulty. Even the later Wizards only attained level-10 after extensive exploration during the Antiquity Age, aided by the rise of the legendary Sauron and a series of fortunate events.
The Totem Path is fundamentally a path of faith, which is essentially a "path of seeking from others." Its core logic dictates that to advance, one must be granted power by a superior being. Kui yearned for level-10 but found no "backer" to rely upon for faith. To return to the Beast God would mean all its previous progress was for nothing.
Fortunately, the heavens always leave a path open. Kui lived during the twilight of the Antiquity, coinciding with the end of the Double Dragon expedition and the era of the Double Dragon conflict. The Star Dragon King and the Blood Dark Dragon King engaged in world-shaking battles across the Multidimensional Plane for reasons unknown. Kui seized this chance, understanding the underlying motives of the Double Dragons' war.
The Star Dragon King hungered for eternal life and sought divine enthronement! For reasons of its own, the Blood Dark Dragon King was violently opposed to this ascension, acting to block its path to godhood. Kui pledged its loyalty to the Star Dragon King, utilizing this mythical dragon as the cornerstone for its Totem Path to reach level-10, thus becoming the first level-10 powerhouse in barbarian history.
Afterward, it accompanied the Star Dragon King on campaigns across the world, steadily increasing its own power. As the Double Dragon War neared its end, certain deities from the astral world moved to intervene, hoping to scavenge the remains and claim the spoils of war; these were formidable Gods.
Among them was the "Beast God," who plotted to seize the Double Dragon legacy and spread its influence across the Double Dragon Empire to the Dragon Clan and other monstrous beasts. Once the conflict ended, many Gods did indeed reap massive rewards.
However, the luckless Beast God was gravely wounded by the dying Blood Dark Dragon King. Its strength failed, and its divine fire flickered on the verge of extinction. Having survived countless battles, Kui had reached a level of power never seen before and refused to remain a permanent servant.
Taking advantage of this perfect moment, it moved to strike, using its Totem Path to systematically infiltrate and seize the Beast God’s authority.
It could perhaps be described as a "possession"!
Since the Bloodline Path was blocked and other avenues were hidden, and since the barbarian tribes required a source of faith and a protector, it was better they believe in Man Kui than the Beast God!
"I am the spiritual architect of the barbarian tribe; I am the singular faith. I shall be the protector of the barbarian tribe!"
"From this moment forth, I am the Heavenly Will!"
The Beast God did not perish; it now lingers in the astral world, hidden within a remote corner of the Forest of Myriad Phenomena, detached from worldly affairs.
It became the puppet and alias of the Heavenly Will in the astral world, existing solely to serve as the "medium of exchange" for the barbarian tribe’s faith.
In reality, as the long ages passed, Kui grew even more dominant. It had long since established its own unique system, making the Beast God entirely redundant.
Over time, the original name "Kui" slowly vanished from historical records, leaving only a single title to be whispered through the generations:
Heavenly Will!
It eventually concluded that all transcendent beings and those with powerful physiques, once their complex elemental abilities were stripped away, possessed physical traits rooted in six core dimensions:
Strength, Defense, Speed, Endurance, Physique, and Perception!
Utilizing the Beast God’s shell, it delved into the study of Divine Authority and the relationship between Main and Subordinate Gods, eventually creating six distinct powers separate from the authority of the Main God.
