Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1627 - 562: All Fall One After Another (Part 3)
Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
"Qu Qi, you say..." While half-crouched, Bo He appeared to be murmuring to herself.
Yet right then, Qu Qi's head, which had been resting low, jerked upward all of a sudden, its barely open eyes flaring wide as it fixed its stare on the remote sky.
This abrupt move obviously cut off whatever Bo He had been on the verge of saying.
"Woof! Woof!!" The lazy look on Qu Qi's face had shifted to utter alertness, its barks ringing out fiercely.
Shocked, Bo He quickly turned her gaze toward where Qu Qi was looking, and in the very next instant, her lovely eyes expanded in alarm, her dainty lips parting without control.
There, on the peak of the lofty Cologne Cathedral far away, a huge cloud of dark fog kept pouring out. If it was just dark fog, it wouldn't seem so eerie, yet this fog acted like something alive, endlessly swirling and churning.
Even from such a far-off spot, Bo He could faintly make out razor-like claws and a savage maw flashing now and then inside the dark fog...
It felt like some horrifying beast shrouded in the fog was on the verge of bursting loose!
Simply by watching, a powerful wave of dread rose up from deep inside Bo He's soul!
"Sister Lagaray!"
"Sister Cleya!" Bo He couldn't stop trembling, her voice rising in a desperate yell.
With a sharp 'whoosh', the elegant Cleya burst from the villa, and moments later, a swift and sturdy form landed next to Bo He—it was Lagaray.
The instant they arrived, both women's eyes traced Bo He's direction, and right away, their faces grew deadly serious.
Their power might not rank at the Empire's highest, but each had climbed to the Quasi-Legendary Peak.
Still, the second they laid eyes on the dark fog, a fierce terror bubbled up inside them both.
Right now, Griffin Knights were streaming toward the dark fog one after another, yet before they got too close, writhing strands of the advancing fog snagged them right in the air.
The mighty Imperial Griffins beneath them got bound tight as well, shrieking in agony.
No matter how fiercely the Griffin Knights fought back, the twisting dark fog proved as unyielding as shifting iron, refusing to let go.
Mere seconds later, these Imperial Griffin Knights started spasming like they'd been struck by lightning, then shockingly, they could move again.
But to the dismay of everyone watching, they wheeled around and launched assaults on the approaching Griffin Knights...
"Controlled?"
The pair of women swapped looks at once, spotting the stunned horror mirrored in the other's gaze!
"Cleya... this dark fog's aura hits me... it's at least as bad as when we saw the Divine Incarnation come down... maybe... the dread feels even heavier!"
The wild girl, who had advanced through the rawest methods, held an innate knack for spotting peril.
Right now, her attractive features had drained of color, tiny beads of sweat dotting her sleek brow, obviously picking up on a massive threat.
"Right, Lagaray, we need to start the evacuation without delay!" After a quick think, Cleya declared firmly.
She sensed that the Imperial City could very well fall to this menace, since the dark fog's horror outdid even the Divine's might.
Luckily, after the previous massive clash in the Imperial City, Rein had planned with her on rapid escape routes for crises like this.
"Roar!!!"
Out of nowhere, a mighty dragon's bellow thundered across the heavens!
The Imperial Dragon Knights, who usually shunned showing themselves to ordinary folk, now soared openly over the Imperial City.
One...
Two...
...
Eight...
More kept joining the ranks!
By this point, no alerts or signals were needed to spread the word—the whole Imperial City Tamriel erupted in chaos like a pot on the boil, swarming with terrified residents, nobles barking at drivers to speed their wagons away...
Everywhere rang out wails, sobs, and furious yells from folks of all kinds, young and old, high and low.
...
High in the sky.
"No! That's a Fiend Demon!"
"The old Fiend Demon has broken free from the Goddess Church's seal!"
"But... how could that happen!" Walkmas, the eldest and mightiest of the Imperial Guardians, cried out.
"What! Fiend Demon?"
Countless Imperial Guardians who recognized the term went ghostly white!
