Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1626 - 562: Falling One After Another (Part 2)

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
Rein unleashed a devastating Fifth Level witchcraft, High-frequency Cutting, sending five dark silver metal discs toward the nervous avatars of the deities, who scattered in a desperate bid to escape. The Devouring Snake avatar bore the brunt of the assault, shattering into a damaged Divine Fragment, while two other avatars fell, their fragments claimed by Rein as the stronger Evil God Grek and a hooded deity fled upward. On the second underground level, God of Hunting Luen was ambushed by a Steel Dragon and allies targeting Grek and Nether Sea Goddess Hela, as the hooded deity reached the surface and swiftly annihilated three Federation Fire Element Dawn Wizards with poisonous gray smoke. Rein arrived at the second level amid the chaos.

Two streaks of dark silver light twisted together and streaked past, leaving the Nether Sea Goddess Hela unprepared. Shock and rage filled her face, and right before she could utter her last words, her avatar got severed in half, with nothing but a shadowy divine fragment drifting through the air.

Rein darted forward in a flash, snatching it into his pouch as he offered a small nod to Sword Saint Terrio and the three companions at his side, conveying his thanks.

His eyes then shifted toward the Evil God Grek, who clashed wildly against Black Dragon Metheus.

Under Rein’s watchful stare, Grek grew tense, and even with his left arm on the verge of being chomped by the Black Dragon, he rocketed upward in a burst.

"Sizzle!"

Yet right as he neared the metal roof of the second basement layer, three bursts of dark silver light slashed right through him!

All at once, yet another divine fragment dropped down.

"Five pieces!" Rein zipped over once more and claimed it.

This turn of events caused the God of Hunting, Luen, who battled Steel Dragon Dorick, to narrow his eyes sharply without meaning to.

"I will return!"

A furious bellow escaped him, and in the very next heartbeat, a massive blast ripped through the area.

"Ugh!!!"

The God of Hunting, Luen’s avatar opted for self-destruction, hurling Steel Dragon Dorick back by tens of meters in an instant. Despite the Steel Dragon’s ironclad defenses, the force of a divine avatar’s explosion drew a pained howl from it.

"He actually self-destructed!"

Rein found himself stunned by the unfolding drama.

He never imagined the God of Hunting, Luen, would prove so determined!

Sword Saint Terrio and his allies stood even more shocked—forcing a divine avatar to blow itself up?

This...

"The injuries are manageable."

"Just eat some metal to recover quickly." Rein hurried to Steel Dragon Dorick’s side to inspect the wounds.

Because of his quick dodge and the Steel Dragon’s rugged hide, Dorick’s damage wasn’t too bad. Plus, in the Floating City, metal was plentiful, so recovery wouldn’t take long.

"Lord Rein... another divine incarnation has already gone up." Haleem rushed over at that point and reported.

"Mm, no need to pursue, I already sensed his presence vanished, probably fled." Rein shook his head in response.

All of a sudden, Rein’s face shifted!

He warned gravely, "Lord Terrio, all of you be careful, something seems to be emerging from below."

His words barely ended when Rein disappeared from view, leaving Terrio and the rest in bewilderment.

Just moments earlier, Rein had detected the captured Demon Powers stirring more wildly, on the brink of bursting free, while a chilling aura that even unsettled him rose from the Floating City’s depths.

Yet what baffled him even further was a strange entity mixed in among them.

Descending to the third basement floor, Rein halted abruptly as a realization struck him.

He swiftly pulled out the five divine fragments of varying colors and forms from his chest pocket, considered them briefly, then clutched the tiniest one firm.

Maybe because the Devouring Snake’s body had been tainted by Fiend Demon during the earlier fight, its divine fragment ended up the smallest.

"The thing below seems extremely difficult to deal with."

"First, absorb the Devouring Snake’s divine fragment to enhance strength." Rein furrowed his brow, musing to himself.

In the blink of an eye, a puff of crimson mist spread out, and the Devouring Snake’s divine fragment vanished completely from Rein’s grasp.

Right away, a system alert rang out:

[Ding! Detecting a divine fragment capable of enhancing the degree of spiritual power fission, speed up absorption? (Note: System absorption can remove impurities and fully absorb at once.)]

Well-versed in the procedure, Rein selected "Yes!" without delay.

At once, he sensed a sinister and immense force pouring from the divine fragment, accompanied by the hiss of a colossal serpent near his ears.

This wouldn’t faze Rein in the least, but for folks like Haleem, Ogre, or fellow Dawn Wizards, the lingering intent of the Evil God would soon twist them into mutants.

Once the system cleansed it, every trace of the Devouring Snake’s consciousness got wiped away, allowing refined power to surge from Rein’s arm directly into his consciousness.

Within Rein’s mindscape, like a fracturing planetary core, his spiritual core pulsed with growing intensity and force.

Two seconds passed, and with absorption done, Rein glanced at his status panel:

Spirit: 414 (Fission 9%)

"Oh, the smallest piece increased it by 8%?!"

Rein felt a touch of astonishment, but mostly joy.

The shock came from his prior assumption that the divine fragment wouldn’t boost a Full Moon Wizard much.

However, it turned out his guess was way off.

The divine fragment’s impact far exceeded what he’d pictured.

And the joy was straightforward enough.

Since advancing as a Full Moon Wizard proved incredibly tough.

From poring over old records, Rein knew most ancient Full Moon Wizards took decades or even over a century for such a gain.

Yet for him, it happened in a mere instant.

After that, Rein moved on to the second, third fragment...

But as he took in the fourth, a truly odd silhouette burst up from the third basement’s metal ground, and the sealed ’gas canisters’ began shaking fiercely.

...

Imperial City Tamriel.

In the front garden of Rein Mansion, Bo He clutched a chunk of grilled meat, tenderly feeding and petting Qu Qi, whose coat gleamed with a glossy sheen. The girl and her dog radiated pure relaxed bliss.
