Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1614 - 558: General Angerik

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
Rein directed the team to focus on the Fiend Demon controlling the King of Tyrannosaurs from within its metal skull, assigning Metheus and Dorick to topple the beast while preparing Fire Witchcraft to counter the demon. The dragons' coordinated assault succeeded, forcing the massive construct to the ground and prompting a shadowy, black-gas-shrouded figure to burst forth from its control room. Revealed as the ancient goblin General Angerik, enhanced by the demon's influence into a robust and formidable foe, he launched attacks on the group, only to be met by scorching flame tornadoes from Ogre and Otto.

"Boom!"

As a wide-ranging Dawn Killing Move that was executed twice over, the ancient Goblin Corps Commander, General Angerik, got struck right away, his form swallowed up by the raging fiery tornado.

For an instant, his entire body got hurled skyward.

Rein squinted his eyes a bit, watching the foe with close attention.

Even though thick black mist shielded the enemy and the dual Fiery Flame Storm hadn't inflicted heavy harm, the blast from the Fiery Flame Storm brought about two crucial outcomes.

Firstly, the thick black mist covering the enemy's surface clashed hard against the flame force, now much dimmer in intensity, and from one angle, the enemy's defenses had clearly weakened.

Secondly, the strike from brothers Otto and Ogre opened up a chance for the remaining three Federation Fire Element Dawn Wizards to launch their assault.

Suddenly, the trio released their ready Fire Element Dawn Killing Moves.

"Fire Wing Strike!!"

Wings forged from scorching flames, stretching more than ten meters, darted rapidly toward the airborne Angerik.

"Flame Burst Bombardment!!"

Right after came a barrage of hundreds of fireballs, pouring down like a fierce rainstorm, smashing onto Angerik in a cascading torrent.

"Molten Rock Split!!"

At last, under Angerik, a vast stretch of lava bubbled up unexpectedly on the metallic floor, and a blazing pillar infused with molten rock surged upward, slamming straight into Angerik.

"Boom boom boom!"

When these three Fire Element Dawn Witchcrafts hit the target, powerful waves of fire element energy rippled outward everywhere!

The blazing blasts nearly choked the Federation soldier groups and research crews hundreds of meters distant.

At the same time, next to Rein, which included Otto, Ogre, and the other five Dawn Wizards, they were breathing a little heavily too.

In truth, for the majority of mid-stage Dawn Wizards, they usually manage two or three Dawn Killing Moves at most, meaning that unleashing one drains a huge chunk of spiritual power.

Yet, right then, smiles lit up all their faces, bringing a sense of ease.

"Lord Rein, your quick warning saved us, or we couldn't have pulled off such perfect teamwork." Otto grinned as he spoke.

"Yeah, we've got him at last."

"This Fiend Demon sure is a pain!"

The rest chimed in with nods.

"Stay alert, folks, the fight's only starting." Rein stared ahead, eyes tight, alerting the group.

"What? He's still alive?"

They snapped to attention fast, and in the next instant, shock twisted their features!

Amid the fading smoke and flames, General Angerik, battered by five straight Fire Element Dawn Killing Moves, looked utterly ragged, his signature twin beard tufts burned clean off.

The once pristine high-level goblin uniform lay in tatters, his skin flushed red as if the fierce fires from moments ago still seared him. But the issue lay in the black mist inside him gushing forth nonstop, mending his wounds bit by bit.

Put simply, exactly as Rein had warned, the foe remained unkilled.

"Didn't they say he's weakest against Fire Witchcraft?"

"Why isn't he down for good!"

...

They hadn't puzzled it out yet when Goblin General Angerik twisted his rigid neck, his dark eyes sweeping over them, burning with extra rage:

"Mortals... you've hurt me!"

"Face my fury! Troops... obey my command, wipe them..."

"Pop!!!"

Out of nowhere, a massive claw glowing with silver-gray metallic energy plunged from above, smashing Goblin General Angerik flat into the earth, cutting off his words mid-sentence.

None other than Steel Dragon Dorick had ambushed him from behind with that brutal hit.

Still, Angerik's command appeared to work, since shadowy forms started emerging nearby—mechanical velociraptors.

Rein paused briefly, then directed the two dragons to handle Angerik's minions.

Dealing with this strange Fiend Demon, if Black Dragon Metheus or Steel Dragon Dorick got tainted, things would get messy, risking the loss of his mighty dragons.

Thus, Rein preferred to take down the enemy using distant Fire Witchcraft.

"Why are you all just standing there? Hit him harder!"

Sword Saint Terrio bellowed in fury, then leaped forward with a toe-push, speeding at General Angerik like a shot arrow.

"Hold on, Lord Terrio."

Rein yanked Terrio back.

In a flash, a sleek dark silver metal disc flew from behind Terrio, zipping like lightning at Angerik's freshly risen form, 'whoosh', cleaving through the enemy's center line in a blink.

At once, the rising Angerik froze solid!

From his forehead, a crimson streak traced downward over nose, mouth, neck... straight along his body's core to the crotch....

Goblin General Angerik got cleaved clean in two by Rein's Dawn Killing Move, 'Blade-toothed Disc'.

"Lord Rein, you're spot on every time." Sword Saint Terrio eased up and complimented with a grin.

"No relaxing now, get ready, the moment the black fog reforms, unleash Fire Witchcraft right away." Rein's eyes narrowed further, his face graver than earlier.

Spotting Rein's look, confusion gripped them.

Hasn't it ended?

Why...

From the split left and right sections of General Angerik's corpse, strands of black mist oozed out, twisting together swiftly into a bigger, churning blob of dark fog.
