Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1613 - 557: King of Tyrannosaurs (Part 3)

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
The party, accompanied by two Giant Dragons, ventured onto the metal surface of the Floating City Ruins, where Dorick the Steel Dragon eagerly crushed and devoured a Mechanical Land Bird. A massive thud shook the ground, and the formidable King of Tyrannosaurs burst through the surface, its red eyes scanning for threats as the group tensed for battle, recalling their previous retreat against its unyielding defenses. Rein identified the ancient mechanical beast and its corrupted goblin controller within, directing Dorick to engage while warning of its Death Ray; the Steel Dragon absorbed the attack and clashed fiercely with the towering foe. Metheus restrained the beast's deadly tail gear, tipping the scales as the three giants battled amid sparks and roars, leaving Otto and the others watching in uneasy awe.

Truth be told, they had questioned Rein's capabilities before, and moreover, their joint exploration squad consisted of seven full members, whereas the Empire only sent Rein alone.

Yet at present, Rein's group was handling the bulk of the fighting...

This situation... it'll probably be tough to justify to the Federation Congress later on.

In the end, they were well aware that rewards from the joint expedition would be divided according to each party's input.

"Everyone, let Metheus and Dorick handle the King of Tyrannosaurs; the true threat remains hidden." Rein gestured toward the massive, sturdy metal cranium of the King of Tyrannosaurs.

All eyes swiftly turned to where Rein indicated.

"Rein, Your Majesty, is that goblin under the Fiend Demon's control located inside the King of Tyrannosaurs' head?" Sword Saint Terrio inquired, his expression solemn.

"Indeed, when the moment arrives, we'll require a few of you to combine your Fire Witchcraft. Based on my previous encounter, Fire Witchcraft deals far greater harm to the Fiend Demon compared to other forms of witchcraft."

"Rest assured, Rein, Your Majesty, the instant they show up, we'll hit them hard," Otto assured, thumping his chest confidently.

Prior to Rein showcasing his power, some might have harbored doubts, such as challenging the accuracy of Rein's words, wondering why they ought to adhere to his plans, or even fearing he proposed this to claim more glory for himself, and so on.

But right now, not a single one entertained those notions.

"Crack!"

Aided by Black Dragon Metheus, Dorick grasped the perfect moment and clamped down on the King of Tyrannosaurs' throat; the Steel Dragon's teeth and drool possess an innate ability to corrode metal substances. Remember, Steel Dragons sustain themselves by devouring metals.

Meanwhile, Metheus unleashed a Shadow Breath upon the right rear leg joint of the King of Tyrannosaurs.

Through the combined assault of these two Dragons at Epic Peak strength, the King of Tyrannosaurs was brutally knocked down onto the earth.

Naturally, this success stemmed partly from the fact that its operator wasn't a genuine Goblin Manipulator, but a beast corrupted by the Fiend Demon. In truth, the King of Tyrannosaurs, famed for rivaling a Demigod in battle, failed to unleash its complete might.

"Whoosh!"

With the King of Tyrannosaurs slamming into the ground, abruptly, a dark silhouette wrapped in ominous black mist burst forth from the command chamber, aiming straight for Haleem, the frailest in their midst.

Thanks to Rein's prior alert and directives, Sword Saint Terrio's form blurred in a 'swish,' launching a swift strike at the shadow with blinding quickness!

"Clang!!!"

Sparks erupted from the collision, halting the foe's advance instantly and forcing it to withdraw to its starting position.

Still, astonishing everyone, this goblin remains, meant only as the King of Tyrannosaurs' pilot, displayed shockingly powerful fighting ability; Sword Saint Terrio was compelled to retreat a few paces to absorb the force.

That said, Terrio's blade strike also revealed the enemy's full appearance to all onlookers.

This foe bore no resemblance to the puny, withered goblin bodies Rein had observed earlier.

Even enveloped in black mist, the enemy's build was immensely sturdy, its outer hide strangely etched with numerous dark fissures. Thick streams of black gas leaked out from these and flowed back in, apparently creating a peculiar loop.

Evidently, this phenomenon kept the enemy's hide from drying out, granting it an odd plumpness instead.

Moreover, the black gas's concentration exceeded that of the Ancient Minotaur Rein faced in the dungeon.

Rein sensed that this foe wasn't just an ordinary goblin pilot, but a elite warrior from goblin ranks.

On top of that, the enemy's most striking trait was the pair of neatly tied brown beard strands dangling from its jaw.

"That looks like the notorious General Angerik from the Ancient Goblins." Haleem, apparently spotting a clue, burst out suddenly.

"Hmm?"

"Rein, Your Majesty, during expeditions to other goblin ruins, I uncovered some old goblin journals. They detailed key personalities from the Ancient Goblin Empire, and the 'Twin-braid Beard' Angerik stood out prominently among them." Haleem explained rapidly.

As Haleem conversed with Rein, a low, raspy tone suddenly emanated from General Angerik's lips:

"Foolish... intruders.... you are ready to meet your death....."

Right then, the enemy's form blurred again, charging once more at Rein and his companions.

But on this occasion, it was met by twin blazing fire whirlwinds, towering dozens of meters, materializing from nowhere and assailing it from either flank.

The ones who summoned them were the ready duo, brothers Ogre and Otto.
