Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1612 - 557: King of Tyrannosaurs (Part 2)
Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
"Haleem, call together the research and logistics teams to trail after us."
...
In no time, the group, accompanied by two Giant Dragons, stepped onto the terrain of the Floating City Ruins.
"Wow, this spot is amazing...(Dragon Language)" Dorick the Steel Dragon burst out, his dragon gaze sparkling as he touched down on the metallic floor of the Floating City.
All of a sudden, he lunged ahead and seized a Mechanical Land Bird from the hazy fog nearby. The Mechanical Land Bird, towering over three meters, looked like a tiny fledgling in Dorick’s grasp.
"Crunch, crunch!"
Dorick smashed it with one claw and popped it into his maw, munching away as if it were crunchy treats.
"Tastes great.(Dragon Language)"
Witnessing this, the onlookers froze at first. Then, for some odd reason, all but Rein cracked faint grins, a wave of ease washing over them.
"Rein Crown’s dragon companion is really strong, hahaha." Otto commended.
"Boom!!!"
Right then, a heavy thump rumbled from under the ground.
The noise rang out like a massive gong, making even the incredibly sturdy metal deck of the Floating City tremble faintly, as if a light quake had hit.
"Master, something huge lurks below," Black Dragon Metheus warned solemnly.
"Boom!!!"
Another thump boomed, shaking the earth anew.
Now, the group spotted that right in front, where a structure once stood, the metal plating was swelling upward in a big way.
This prompted Rein to arch a brow.
Clearly, the foe was targeting a vulnerable area, and it looked like they’d zeroed in on it.
"Creak... bang"
The screech of metal twisting and snapping under huge force echoed, as a gigantic mechanical dinosaur skull, sized like a locomotive head, burst through the surface, its crimson laser eyes sweeping the surroundings.
At the same time, its forelimbs began ripping apart the metal covering, as if eager to haul its full form out from underneath...
"It’s the King of Tyrannosaurs!"
"That’s the one!"
"Get ready to fight!"
Tension gripped the faces of everyone present.
They’d clashed with it before, and despite seven Epic-tier fighters, victory had eluded them. Sure, they hadn’t gone all out, either.
For caution’s sake, following the first clash, the seven pulled back right away on Terrio’s advice.
Yet from that short scuffle, they’d gauged the King of Tyrannosaurs’ might; strikes from Fourth Level Fire Witchcraft barely singed it, dealing zero serious harm.
"It’s definitely the King of Tyrannosaurs."
Matching it against the design in his thoughts, Rein verified that Haleem’s assessment nailed it; this was truly the elite fighting machine of the ancient goblin forces—the Mechanical King of Tyrannosaurs.
Having once pondered building a King of Tyrannosaurs himself, Rein was well-versed in its unique assault methods.
Still, Rein’s focus right now zeroed in on the control chamber nestled in the midst of its cranium.
A goblin remains ought to be there, twisted by Fiend Demon corruption.
Simply taking down the King of Tyrannosaurs won’t suffice—it’s merely the opening move. True victory demands wrecking the tainted goblin operator to wipe out the threat for good.
"I detect Mithril, adamantium, and Glowstone... Master... let me handle it!" Spotting this, Dorick the Steel Dragon displayed no dread—quite the opposite, excitement gleamed in his eyes.
"Fine, but watch out for its Death Ray," Rein cautioned.
He was keen to test the enemy’s strike strength firsthand, and Dorick’s ironclad hide made him the ideal pick.
"No sweat."
Words barely out, Dorick barreled toward the King of Tyrannosaurs, which loomed even larger than he did.
Noticing the Steel Dragon’s advance, the King of Tyrannosaurs’ optics flared crimson, poised to unleash a Death Ray. Heeding Rein’s alert, Dorick’s frame abruptly cloaked in a thick dark golden energy.
"Zzz!"
The Death Ray struck Dorick’s thorny rear, yet the bulk of its force got soaked up by the dark golden barrier, leaving just a pair of charred marks on his hide.
"Boom!"
Before it could loose another Death Ray, the pair of colossal creatures smashed together wildly, the piercing clang of metal on metal echoing everywhere.
"Metheus, pin down the mechanism on its tail." A idea striking him, Rein directed Black Dragon Metheus.
"Your wish is my command."
With ’Mad Wings’ Metheus joining in, the trio of massive beasts instantly dove into a brutal showdown atop the surface.
Dorick the Steel Dragon grappled with the over-a-hundred-meter-tall King of Tyrannosaurs, igniting showers of sparks amid thunderous metallic groans!
Each boasted hides like armor. Dorick’s metallic scales offered defense rivaling Dawn Witchcraft, and the King of Tyrannosaurs went without saying; its frame forged from exotic alloys tougher than any steel.
At first, the King of Tyrannosaurs’ mechanical tail ended in a Diamond Cutting Gear, yet now Black Dragon Metheus gripped it tight, blocking any chance of a fatal slice.
Metheus’s single Shadow Breath didn’t fully liquefy the Diamond Cutting Gear, but it ate through the tail joint, snapping it off.
Just like that, the King of Tyrannosaurs lost one of its killer weapons.
Had that slicing gear hit the Steel Dragon, it could’ve inflicted grave wounds on Dorick.
"Rein Crown, we..."
As Rein’s two Giant Dragons dominated the fight, Otto, Ogre, and the rest of the spectators felt a touch of shame.
