Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1514 - 521: The Meaning of Doing as One Pleases
Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
The situation turned chaotic in a heartbeat.
Within the ranks of the Sea God Sect, Pope Egil was the only one capable of shielding himself instantly through innate wizardry. The remaining high-level Evil Sorcerers suffered various degrees of injury.
Their previously arrogant demeanor vanished as some saw their Wizard Robes riddled with scorched holes, while others dealt with the agony of blistered, swollen, and burnt skin.
Consumed by humiliation and rage, the high-level Evil Sorcerers of the Sea God Sect watched with bloodshot eyes as they began their retaliation against the Red Dragon.
Meanwhile, the ancient and terrifying sea beast, Glasers, was hardly known for having a gentle soul. Although it recognized that it had trespassed into the Red Dragon’s territory, the ocean functioned on the law of the jungle where the strong devour the weak; an apology was out of the question.
Furthermore, consuming this Red Dragon might provide the very catalyst needed for its strength to reach full recovery.
Consequently, Glasers twisted its massive frame to meet the magma tsunamis and Fiery Breath unleashed by "Red Flame Wings" Fermo. Simultaneously, the purple markings along its spine began to glow with an intense light.
A massive serpent of purple electricity, stretching over a hundred meters, manifested from its hide. It surged forward to collide violently with the incoming waves of fire and molten rock.
For a brief window of time, the air above the Molten Lava Lake was a chaotic display of blinding electric arcs and dancing flames.
Led by the monstrous Glasers, the Sea God Sect engaged in a brutal struggle against the ancient Red Dragon Fermo, who had been disturbed from its long sleep!
....
"’Red Flame Wings’ Fermo? That name sounds familiar; I believe I’ve encountered it in records regarding Red Dragons."
Menia, who possessed fluency in the Dragon Language, understood the meaning behind Fermo’s earlier roar. She knit her brows as she struggled to pull a specific memory to the surface.
"I recall now. It was an ancient Red Dragon that roamed during the era of chaos before the Empire’s founding. It is a generation older than the Empire’s most senior Red Dragon. It is quite a surprise that it survived by choosing to Cultivate its slumber within this subterranean volcanic Magma Lake."
"That explains why its power has reached the level of an Extremely Old Dragon."
"Is that so?" Rein remarked, his curiosity piqued as he watched the two forces clash in the distance.
"Would its bloodline essence be enough to facilitate your full recovery, Prince Menia?"
"A total restoration isn't possible, though it might bring back seventy to eighty percent of my... wait, how could they possibly..." Menia answered Rein instinctively before the absurdity of the suggestion hit her.
Was the feasibility of recovery even the main issue here?
Bloodline essence is sacred; losing even a small amount severely depletes one's vitality. Since they were total strangers to the dragon, why would it ever surrender such a thing?
"Rein, you cannot simply ask a temperamental Red Dragon of the Extremely Old Dragon rank for its bloodline essence; they would never consent to such a thing." Menia turned her beautiful eyes toward Rein, confused by what he was implying.
"Don't worry, they will agree," Rein replied with absolute certainty.
"What?" Menia’s confusion only deepened.
"On another note, what was its reputation like back then? Do the ancient scrolls say anything?"
"It wasn't inherently evil, just prone to following its own unpredictable whims."
"Prince Menia, please remain hidden here. The Mechanical Velociraptor will keep watch for you. I’m going to settle things with the Sea God Sect and that sea beast first, then I’ll negotiate the matter of the bloodline essence with the Red Dragon."
"This..." Menia started to speak, but Rein’s form blurred and he was gone.
...
As Rein drew closer to the fray, a sudden realization caused him to halt his advance.
"The 'Smoldering Electric Eel' is clearly the Sea God Sect's primary trump card in this fight. If I can take it out, their entire formation will fall apart!"
"However, that purple lightning is formidable. Since the Red Dragon Fermo is already engaged, I don't need to resort to a dragon transformation for a melee confrontation."
After weighing his options, Rein made his choice. He lifted his right hand, and a dark silver disc with serrated edges, measuring several meters across, appeared above his palm. It hovered there, spinning with terrifying speed.
This was his latest Dawn Killing Move—the 'Blade-toothed Disc'.
Rein was no longer what he used to be; he had reached the late stage of a Fourth Level Dawn Wizard. When combined with his 'Steel Heart' Advanced Meditation Method and his Super Metal Affinity, the destructive potential of this Dawn Killing Move had reached the Epic Peak. It was capable of dealing a fatal blow if the target was caught off guard.
Nevertheless, Rein did not throw it immediately. He watched the battlefield where blue electricity and red magma crashed together in a kaleidoscope of light.
He was being patient.
He was waiting for the perfect opening.
...
"Roar!!!"
Even as the ancient Red Dragon Fermo cried out from the searing pain of the purple lightning, it refused to back down. It endured the combined magical assault of Pope Egil and the high-level Evil Sorcerers, using every ounce of its strength to slam Glasers down into the molten depths!
"There it is!"
Rein’s eyes flashed with excitement at the sight!
With a sharp gesture, the dark silver metal disc above Rein’s head tore through the air, diving instantly into the boiling magma.
If one were to look down at the churning Magma Lake from above, they would see a high-speed circular object cutting through the dark red depths like a torpedo, locking onto the 'Smoldering Electric Eel' Glasers just as it was being pinned down.
"Splash!"
Infuriated by the Red Dragon's strike, Glasers coiled its eel-like body, preparing to launch itself back out of the magma to strike back.
But in that instant, a crushing sense of dread washed over the beast, as if the shadow of death had suddenly fallen upon it!
