Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1460 - 501: Consecutive Job Change Notifications (Part 2)
Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
Rein wasted no time, picking up one of the objects and carefully extending his spiritual power to probe its contents.
As his spiritual power integrated with the item, a massive influx of data regarding the construction of mechanical apparatuses flooded Rein’s consciousness, spanning from flame throwers to synchronous gyroscopes.
Rein perceived that the information was structured logically, progressing from basic concepts to complex theories, offering a comprehensive and systematic grasp of Goblin Engineering.
Any wizard who managed to obtain such an exhaustive archive of Goblin Engineering would find it immensely profitable, provided they dedicated the necessary time and effort to its study.
"Goblin Engineering? This is truly..."
A look of astonishment crossed Rein’s face as he stared at the memory crystal held in his hand.
The nature of the records stored within the crystal was entirely unexpected.
After reflecting for a moment, Rein resolved to commit the data to memory immediately; such invaluable intelligence would be a massive boon to both himself and his organization, the Bixiu Mechanization School.
Utilizing the potent spiritual power of a Dawn Wizard, Rein rapidly forced the entirety of the content into his mind.
Naturally, this was a feat of rote memorization rather than true mastery.
It was comparable to being intimately familiar with every instruction and safety protocol of a chemical reaction without yet having the hands-on practice required to execute it perfectly.
This was precisely the situation Rein found himself in.
This was particularly true since much of the Goblin Engineering discipline demanded practical application to be fully understood.
"Huh? What is this?" Rein’s expression shifted slightly.
Immediately following the memorization of the technical data, a notification from the system manifested before him:
[Ding! Host detected in contact with Goblin Engineering, triggering a profession change—Goblin Engineer (Legendary)!]
[Preconditions for promotion to Goblin Engineer (Legendary) are: 1. Extraordinary profession in casting or mechanical field above lv5 (Great Armor Forger satisfies this); 2. Strength above 18 points, Constitution 18 points, Spirit above 20 points; 3. Master Goblin Engineering related knowledge; 4. Independently produce any three qualified goblin engineering creations....current conditions not met! Promotion to Goblin Engineer (Legendary) failed!]
...
After scanning the system’s notification, Rein was filled with elation.
"I set out searching for the next stage of my meditation method, but I ended up discovering the advancement for the Great Armor Forger profession instead."
"What an incredible stroke of luck!"
Rein’s primary bottleneck had consistently been a lack of Skill Points and attribute points, even though his recent string of battles had left him with an adequate supply of Golden Skill Points.
If he could successfully transition into a Goblin Engineer and combine it with Elf Tannery, his concerns regarding Skill Points and attributes would vanish for a long time.
The revelations from the first memory crystal had already provided him with great satisfaction, causing Rein to turn his attention toward the remaining two crystals on the bench.
"I wonder what records these two hold?"
The thought raced through his mind with anticipation.
Rein promptly grabbed the second memory crystal and funneled his spiritual power into it.
An even more sophisticated wave of mechanical knowledge poured into Rein’s mind, featuring upgraded blueprints for several prototypes he had recently seen, along with instructions for building gravity impact devices.
This time, even with the enhanced spiritual capacity of a Dawn Wizard, it required several minutes of intense focus to memorize this advanced Goblin Engineering data.
"This... if Haleem saw these files, he would likely lose his mind with joy!" Rein thought, glancing toward Haleem, who was currently swathed in bandages like a mummy.
However, despite not having checked the final crystal yet, Rein had a nagging suspicion that it was unlikely to contain the fifth layer of his meditation method.
His original goal for descending to the second underground level was to locate the fifth layer of the Steel Heart Advanced Meditation Method, yet he had found nothing but Goblin Engineering archives.
"Huh?"
Rein’s eyes narrowed as the system chimed once more:
[Ding! Host detected access to advanced knowledge of Goblin Engineering, triggering a special advancement profession change—Goblin Engineering Expert (Epic)!]
[Preconditions for promotion to Goblin Engineering Expert (Epic) are: 1. Goblin Engineer lv8....current conditions not met, promotion to Goblin Engineering Expert (Epic) failed!]
"Goblin Engineering Expert? Epic level?"
This unexpected windfall caught Rein completely off guard!
"Even if the meditation method’s fifth layer remains missing, the value of this haul is beyond measure." A smile played on Rein’s lips.
He was well aware of the sheer power associated with an Epic level profession as defined by the system, having already experienced the might of his King of Thousand Blades class.
Once he had composed himself, Rein reached for the third and final memory crystal left on the table.
"What could be stored in this one?"
"Could it finally reveal the mysteries of this ruins?"
With these questions in mind, he slowly began the infusion of his spiritual power.
A few moments later, Rein’s eyes snapped wide, and he whispered: "It is actually the architectural designs and blueprints for a Floating City...."
In that instant, a flash of realization struck him!
"Of course! It makes perfect sense now!"
"This Goblin city utilized such vast quantities of metal and was built with multiple layers because it is the pinnacle of ancient Goblin engineering—a Floating City!"
While the complexity of the advanced Goblin Engineering was immense and Rein could not yet grasp the full intricacies of its construction, he now held a clear understanding of its fundamental architecture.
