Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1458 - 500: Fierce Battle with 7 Demon Statues (Part 3)

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
As the goblin corpse continues to activate the dormant Demon Statues, Sword Saint Terrio attempts a high-speed assassination to halt the process. His momentum is abruptly crushed by a hidden gravity field and a pincer attack of energy cannon fire, forcing him to retreat under Rein's cover. With four giant constructs now active and the situation growing dire, Rein charges into the fray alone. Utilizing Shadow Step and tactical positioning to shield himself from the barrage, he prepares a high-speed, serrated silver disc to break the stalemate.

Rein had already formulated a countermeasure long before he committed to this ambush.

The answer lay in his recently perfected Dawn Killing Move—the ‘Blade-toothed Disc’!

As the bullet fire grew increasingly thick, a haze of dust and smoke billowed upward. Under this shroud, Rein was able to execute his technique with calm precision, hidden from prying eyes.

The struggle at the rear was equally fierce. The two liberated Prototypes possessed formidable strength, leaving Terrio’s trio with no room to focus on anything else.

Rein’s body blurred as he darted left and right, his right hand striking like a bolt of lightning as he wielded the Blade-toothed Disc.

"Swoosh!"

Spinning at a terrifying velocity, the dark silver disc sliced through the plasma vortex shield of the Sword and Shield Prototype blocking his path. It bypassed the defense entirely, flashing across the metallic ankle of the machine's lower limb!

The dark silver disc then trailed Rein’s shifting form like a shadow, eventually hovering once more above his outstretched palm.

Catching sight of Rein at last, the two Prototypes in the back triggered their chest-mounted six-barrel Gatling guns simultaneously. A torrent of energy rounds erupted, weaving a blue-striped crossfire net intended to shred Rein where he stood.

The Prototype Rein had just evaded pivoted to re-engage, preparing to open fire.

However, it realized too late that its barrage was spiraling out of control. The bullets tore into its fellow Demon Statue before sweeping upward at a ninety-degree angle toward the ceiling. A row of emergency lights shattered instantly, and the metal rafters were riddled with a dense line of craters.

"Boom!"

The Sword and Shield Prototype lost its center of gravity and crashed face-first into the floor!

Its right metal ankle had been cleanly severed by Rein’s Blade-toothed Disc, which was why its energy cannon fire had wildly struck another Prototype instead of its target.

Seizing the moment of confusion, Rein blurred toward the fifth Demon Statue.

"Go!!!"

With a sharp flick of his wrist, he sent the dark silver disc surging through the waist of the massive fifth Demon Statue. A moment later, the weapon returned to Rein after he had already circled around the giant.

Rein had executed a perfect man-and-disc separation maneuver!

By the time the dark silver disc returned to its master, the sixth giant Demon Statue had been awakened by the goblin corpse in the lab coat.

Muttering under its breath, the goblin corpse scrambled toward yet another statue. It was clear that a seventh Demon Statue would be activated unless the creature was stopped immediately.

"Buzz!"

The weapon gripped by the sixth Demon Statue was a colossal chainsaw, reminiscent of a logger’s tool. As Rein charged forward, the machine swung the blade in a massive horizontal arc!

Rein’s toes bit into the floor, causing the metal plating to buckle as he launched himself ten meters into the air. He soared over the whistling chainsaw like a streak of lightning. While airborne, he whipped his right hand forward, sending the dark silver disc slicing through the Demon Statue’s upper limb.

"Swoosh!"

The moment Rein’s feet hit the ground, a heavy thud echoed behind him!

Anyone looking would see the severed metal arm of the sixth Demon Statue—the one that had been holding the massive chainsaw—lying on the floor.

"Ha!!!"

Without pausing, Rein assumed a throwing stance the instant he landed. He launched the dark silver disc from his palm toward the goblin corpse, which was currently emitting green pulsating rays to wake the seventh Demon Statue.

Sensing the lethal threat, the goblin corpse raised its hands in a desperate attempt to defend itself.

However, the dark silver disc suddenly flipped from a horizontal flight path to a vertical one mid-air. It tore through the central axis of the goblin’s body in a heartbeat!

"Swoosh!"

The goblin corpse was cleaved perfectly in two, and a pool of dark, stagnant fluid sprayed across the floor.

Rein caught a glimpse of a black worm inside the goblin's skull being vaporized by the Blade-toothed Disc. Only a faint, wispy trail of black smoke remained as it drifted away.

Rein let out a soft breath, shifting his stance to assist his teammates. Suddenly, a series of urgent "beep, beep" sounds erupted behind him, coming from multiple sources.

He spun around quickly, only to find the crippled chainsaw Demon Statue glowing with an ominous red light. Every other Demon Statue in his field of vision was doing the same!

"Not good!" Rein’s expression twisted in alarm!

Warning bells screamed in his mind as he threw himself to the side.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

The following second was filled with a succession of cataclysmic explosions that shook the very foundations of the room!
