Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1417 - 484: Crossing Swords Again
Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
As Rein triggered the 'Dragon Soul Strike' and unleashed 'Steel Forest', the fifth Dawn Killing Move, the exterior of the 'Ice Sea Giant Demon' Gazrian was instantly encased in a thick layer of white ice crystals that coalesced rapidly.
In a mere heartbeat, the creature had entombed itself within a jagged, towering pillar of ice reaching over a hundred meters into the air.
It was at this exact moment that Rein’s Dawn Killing Move reached its explosive climax!
Countless dark silver, metallic plants covered in sharp thorns erupted from the surface of the massive ice structure in the blink of an eye!
To Rein’s shock, however, the 'Steel Forest' he had just deployed appeared incapable of harming Gazrian while it was shielded by the ice.
Aside from some ice fragments falling from the gargantuan block, Gazrian’s pale scales remained visible and completely unharmed through the frozen barrier.
"Is this some sort of emergency survival technique Gazrian is using?"
"It makes sense, I suppose. An ancient behemoth like this is bound to have a few trump cards hidden away."
Rein realized the situation immediately upon seeing the ice seal.
Even so, he did not feel discouraged.
This development fell entirely within the scope of his predictions.
Gazrian was an ancient Ice Sea Giant Demon whose power rivaled the Demigod Level; it stood to reason it wouldn't be slain so easily, given the fearsome reputation it held in ancient scrolls.
"Still, this type of ice seal appears to trade all offensive capabilities for absolute defense."
Rein scrutinized the surface of the ice, his eyes gleaming with a sudden realization.
A confident, subtle grin touched his lips as he stared at the frozen Gazrian.
Suddenly, his right palm began to glow with an intense dark silver radiance before he slammed it violently against the earth.
"Sixth wave!"
Ripples of dark silver energy surged out once more, rushing toward the massive ice block containing Gazrian.
"Detonate!!"
In an instant, thousands of metallic shrubs, trees, and thorn-covered vines of all sizes slammed into the giant ice block and bored deep inside!
Once the violent waves of energy finally dissipated, the massive ice pillar still showed no visible damage or even a single crack.
Rein, however, showed no signs of disappointment; instead, his smile only widened.
"In theory, Gazrian’s ice seal provides a flawless defense against both physical strikes and witchcraft."
"The flaw, however, is that this technique cannot block true damage."
"By activating this seal, it has inadvertently trapped itself within that ice."
"Now, I can freely use my Dawn Killing Move to strike it!"
While executing the sixth Dawn Killing Move, Rein focused his senses once more.
He could clearly feel the true damage woven into his witchcraft successfully wounding Gazrian.
Furthermore, the life force emanating from within the frozen block was slowly but surely fading.
"The potency of this true damage is remarkably high."
"The Dragon Vein Wizard truly lives up to its legendary status."
Just as Rein gathered his strength to unleash another Dawn Killing Move, the frozen Gazrian seemed to perceive the looming threat of death.
Suddenly, the incredibly dense and massive ice block began to split apart!
A colossal crack, stretching over a hundred meters, started tearing upward from the very center of the ice.
....
At the same time.
High upon the mountain plateau of the Fadil range.
The beautiful eyes of the black-robed girl were about to investigate why Gazrian had become so frantic within the domain, but her attention was suddenly diverted.
She looked up to see thousands of flaming shells raining down toward her in a dense formation!
This was the concentrated artillery fire from the Federation’s main airship fleet stationed in the distance.
"Insolent insects!"
The black-robed maiden’s willow-like eyebrows knitted together in annoyance.
While she could easily dodge the incoming shells, the witch array beneath her and the subordinates maintaining it would be obliterated by the bombardment.
Furthermore, because the witch array was already in the middle of its activation cycle, she was unable to move it.
With a wave of her delicate hand, she conjured a Black Water Vortex Shield above the witch array, intercepting the swarm of shells.
This brief interruption caused her to glance back beneath the dark clouds, and her expression shifted instantly.
To be precise, she looked completely stunned!
The events unfolding within the Nether Sea Domain had once again caught her off guard.
"Is that man actually the one forcing Gazrian to use the Absolute Ice Seal?!"
"To drive Gazrian to such an extreme... this man’s power is growing far too fast."
"No, regardless of how he managed it, I cannot allow him to slay Gazrian..."
The Nether Sea Goddess, Hela, reached a decision immediately.
She intended to intervene and stop Rein.
"However, the witch array’s power will diminish if I leave it unattended."
"In just a few minutes, the mortal elites below might be able to break through."
"I will deal with this Rein first and then return immediately."
The black-robed girl vanished from above the witch array, appearing moments later amidst the heavy rain beneath the dark clouds.
Her form flickered again, disappearing into the downpour.
When she finally reappeared, she was already nearing the location where Rein and Gazrian were locked in combat.
Within her Nether Sea Domain, her speed had reached an incredible peak.
"What? Such powerful energy fluctuations?!"
Hela believed that by utilizing the advantages of the Nether Sea Domain to launch a sneak attack, she could end the fight quickly.
However, upon arriving at the scene, she realized she had gravely underestimated the situation.
