Urban Seduction: Housewives Club Chapter 1822 - 0151: The Shadows of Childhood 3

Li Yingying introduces Wang Yue to the reputation of her homeroom teacher, Huang Xueyi, unaware that the woman is actually Wang Yue’s aunt by marriage. Wang Yue recalls painful childhood memories of the "witch" who once tormented him, sparking a curious desire to see how much she has changed. To facilitate a meeting, Li Yingying sneaks Wang Yue into her classroom, where he dismisses the suspicions of jealous male classmates by claiming to be her cousin. While waiting for the dreaded teacher to arrive, Wang Yue finds an unexpected sense of peace in the mundane school atmosphere, leading to a sudden moment of clarity regarding his martial arts cultivation.

Wang Yue realized immediately that he had slipped into a state of sudden enlightenment.

Seizing the moment, he began a silent analysis and mental practice of his martial arts. His efficiency skyrocketed, with his comprehension speed moving several times faster than his normal pace.

He only emerged from this profound meditative state once the period ended. While his raw power hadn't seen a massive jump, his grasp of the core principles of martial arts had reached a much deeper level.

He felt certain that if he could enter this state consistently, it wouldn't be long before he could seamlessly weave the essence of the "Level 8 Great Wild Wind" into every strike of his "Breaking Jade Palm" technique.

This clarity had been triggered by the relaxed, carefree environment of the schoolroom.

A sudden thought struck Wang Yue: if being surrounded by peers could sharpen his understanding of the Dao of martial arts, perhaps he should actually enroll and experience student life for himself?

Wang Yue intended to seek that same state of enlightenment during the following class, but his plans were derailed before the lesson could even begin.

As the second period approached, the room—which was meant for thirty people—was suddenly swarmed by nearly a hundred students. Every seat was taken, and many latecomers preferred to stand in the aisles rather than find a different classroom.

Over ninety percent of these newcomers were boys, with only a handful of girls mixed in.

Wang Yue suspected that while the girls might be there for the lecture, the boys had a completely different motivation for attending.

The reason was simple: the next session was Huang Xueyi’s classical literature class.

These students were clearly there just to catch a glimpse of the beautiful teacher.

In this world, classical literature was treated as an independent and vital subject, distinct from standard language studies.

Following the revival of spiritual energy, the world had transformed. Not only did the land expand a hundredfold, but various territories were isolated from one another by swarms of savage beasts, cutting off traditional communication.

In the regions surrounding China, Chinese became the sole dominant tongue. English, once a global requirement, had been demoted to an elective before eventually being phased out in favor of classical literature.

Only a few specialists continued to study foreign languages to maintain rare contact with distant regions.

The moment the bell rang, the rowdy classroom fell into an instant silence. No student dared to cause a disturbance, knowing that any noise would result in an immediate expulsion from the room.

As the echoes of the bell faded, Huang Xueyi stepped into the room with an elegant, rhythmic gait.

Wang Yue was stunned as he watched her. She had long, flowing hair and wore a pale yellow dress paired with frameless spectacles, a soft smile playing on her lips. He found it hard to believe that this refined, intellectual beauty was the same violent witch who had... well, he remembered her true nature all too well.

Huang Xueyi seemed unfazed by the massive crowd. She walked calmly to the podium, arranged her notes, and addressed the room: "Class, two days ago we went over ‘The Memorial on Sending Out the Troops.’ I instructed everyone to memorize it. Who has succeeded?"

"I have! Over here!" Every boy in the room raised their hand with enthusiasm. Many girls followed suit, including Li Yingying, who sat beside Wang Yue.

Huang Xueyi scanned the room with her beautiful eyes. Her gaze paused momentarily on Wang Yue before she pointed directly at him. "You there, please recite it for us."

"Me?" Wang Yue stood up, a wry smile on his face. "I didn't actually raise my hand."

"That is precisely why I am calling on you. I want to determine if you truly know the material or if you haven't bothered to study at all," Huang Xueyi replied coolly.

The boys were left speechless. Could she really do that? Had they known, none of them would have volunteered.

Regarding "The Memorial on Sending Out the Troops," Wang Yue tried to recall the lessons from his third aunt, but after years of training in his past life, most of it had faded, leaving only the opening lines.

With Huang Xueyi pressuring him, he was forced to attempt it: "The late emperor started his campaign but went broke halfway through..."

"Hahaha!" The entire room burst into fits of laughter.

Huang Xueyi looked like she was struggling to contain her own amusement. She quickly composed herself, her face turning stern as she pointed toward the door. "Come with me!"

"Alright." Wang Yue nodded. He gave the worried Li Yingying a reassuring look before following Huang Xueyi out into the corridor.

Once they were alone in the hallway, Huang Xueyi’s eyes instinctively flickered toward Wang Yue’s crotch.

In years past, one of her favorite pastimes had been teasing Wang Yue and pinching him there. It had been seven years since she last had the chance, and she realized she actually missed it.

She couldn't help but wonder if he had grown much during their time apart.

She quickly shook the thought from her head and asked sharply, "What are you doing here?"

"I was just passing through and happened to see an acquaintance, so I followed them in. This is my first time at this school," Wang Yue explained truthfully.

"An acquaintance? You mean Li Yingying? Let me warn you, don't go making a move on her. She is a decent girl," Huang Xueyi said with a suspicious glare.

Having started her teaching career only a year ago, Li Yingying was a student from her very first class. She held a soft spot for the girl's independence and beauty.

She was also well-aware of Wang Yue's background. Knowing he was already betrothed, she feared he was either looking for a fling or an illicit affair. As an educator, she refused to let that happen.

Wang Yue gave a bitter smile. "Auntie, what kind of person do you take me for?"

"Then how do you even know her? Given your different social circles, there shouldn't be any overlap," Huang Xueyi pressed.

"She is Lan Jie’s younger sister. Is it really that shocking that I know her?" Wang Yue countered.
