The Invincible Full-Moon System Chapter 7 Battle Of Supernaturals

Previously on The Invincible Full-Moon System...
Rex experiences a violent and agonizing transformation after collapsing near a mall, prompting Rosie to teleport them to her family's mansion using a rare crystal. Inside the training room, Rex fully shifts into a predatory werewolf-like creature, losing his humanity to a bloodthirsty rage triggered by the red moonlight. Despite Rosie’s attempts to defend herself with wind magic and a silver sword, she is severely wounded by Rex’s overwhelming strength. A brief moment of regained consciousness allows Rex to flee into the nearby Emham Forest to protect Rosie, but his arrival is immediately noticed by a massive, hostile supernatural creature lurking in the woods.

The velvet shroud of night draped across the entire forest. Within the undergrowth, leaves and bushes danced in a frigid breeze that offered a soothing chill to the soul, particularly for the creatures of the dark.

Whoosh!

The sounds of snapping branches and rustling foliage echoed with every heavy gallop of a beast.

Amidst the gloom of the midnight sky, the moon radiated a vivid, crimson glow, mirroring the shade of fresh blood. This ominous sight sent the local mutated animals scurrying into hiding, terrified by what seemed to be a herald of doom.

At this particular moment, the final flickers of Rex's human consciousness had vanished.

Rex had exhausted every ounce of his willpower simply to escape Rosie's estate. He harbored no desire to cause senseless harm, especially to a woman he had only just met.

However, every corner of his mind had succumbed to madness; the Blood Moon had ignited a primal fury within him.

Bolstered by a sudden surge in power and blinded by a hazy red vision, Rex tore through Emham Forest. His very soul was being consumed by the murderous instincts triggered by the Blood Moon.

Long before the Supernatural Emergence took place,

Humanity was already aware of these Supernatural entities. They were known through global folklore, though people dismissed them as mere myths or bedtime stories.

Werewolves stood among the most famous of these legends.

They are the ultimate nocturnal predators, kings of the night who draw their strength from the full moon. Their entire biology shifts in resonance with the lunar cycle. Even in the modern era, they remain the dominant elites among the Supernaturals.

One must always tread carefully around these lunar monarchs.

Mooooo!!

Roarr!!

Suddenly, a moose let out a cry upon spotting Rex as he blurred past. This encounter acted as a spark for the bloodlust roiling inside him, causing his eyes to ignite with lethal intent.

When the moose locked eyes with Rex, its cry turned into a soft, fearful whimper.

Its limbs trembled and its eyes stretched wide as it realized the danger Rex represented. The creature began to retreat slowly, instinctively sensing the lethal threat before it.

But in its retreat, the moose’s hoof snapped a fallen twig.

Much like the opening bell of a boxing match, that sharp crack signaled the start. In his Werewolf form, Rex's powerful leg muscles coiled and released, launching him forward with bared claws at the sound of the snap.

The moose managed to evade the initial pounce and bolted in the opposite direction.

ROARR!!

Rex let out a furious howl. Summoning his full strength, he pursued the moose with animalistic ferocity.

Hearing the thunderous gallop of Rex closing in from behind, the moose sprinted with everything it had, knowing its life hung in the balance.

However, Rex quickly overtook the beast.

Utilizing his powerful legs, which were supercharged by the moonlight, Rex leaped to intercept his prey. He slammed into the moose’s back, his grip tightening with crushing force.

Moooo!

The moose shrieked in agony, a tear falling as it realized its fate was sealed.

Every animal understands that once a predator like a lion or tiger pins them down, the odds of survival drop to zero. This was no different.

Rex raked his claws across the moose’s underside, tearing it open.

The creature whimpered in its final moments of suffering, but the end came quickly when Rex’s razor-sharp claws sliced through its neck. The light immediately faded from its eyes.

Without pausing to feed, Rex continued his hunt.

Every beast or mutated creature that crossed his path was slaughtered. A crimson trail of carnage marked the wake of Rex's blood-soaked rampage.

Eventually, his instincts took over, and he began to consume the prey he had slain.

But shortly after, his predatory senses screamed at him to duck.

Swooosh!

A rush of air grazed Rex's head as a projectile whistled past, followed by a loud crack as it embedded itself into a nearby tree. A heavy thud behind him forced Rex to turn his attention away from his meal.

"Lone half-werewolf? Ugrok kills you! Ugrok will brag to Ugrok's friends after Ugrok kills you!" a gravelly, rasping voice barked from behind him.

Rex turned slowly to face the creature, which wore a sneering, mocking expression.

The being was larger than Rex, possessing crimson skin stretched over dense, bulging muscles and a protruding belly. A single eye, nearly the size of its own head, stared out from its face, radiating a savage aura.

The forest grew even more silent upon the arrival of this monstrosity.

At the sight of the creature, Rex’s piercing eyes flashed yellow. His bloodlust surged as he watched the beast stand there arrogantly, chin tilted in defiance.

A normal human would have been paralyzed by terror at this sight.

A Cyclops!

Cyclops are ancient, primordial beings that typically live in isolation. They are renowned in legend as some of the most formidable creatures in existence and are notoriously difficult to slay.

Fortunately, the Cyclops facing Rex appeared to be in its juvenile stage.

Its youth was evident by its stature; while a mature Cyclops should be gargantuan, this one was barely larger than Rex himself.

Lacking any sense of fear, Rex’s yellow eyes locked onto Ugrok’s singular eye.

The resulting staredown was so intense that both combatants seemed to hold their breath, measuring the other’s strength while remaining cautious about making the first move.

A Werewolf, a high-ranking Supernatural, was about to clash with a Cyclops, perhaps the most barbaric Supernatural race. It was a battle that would draw the eyes of the world if it were known.

Even the most elite Awakened had likely never witnessed a duel between these two species.

Rex’s body tensed, his senses dialed to their absolute limit.

The confrontation made his blood boil with aggression until he could no longer contain it. He threw his head back and howled.

Aoooouuuu!!!

Following the long cry, a berserk Rex lunged toward the Cyclops.

Ugrok showed no fear, meeting the charge with a derisive grin. "Ugrok strong! Werewolf dead!" he rasped.

Ugrok charged forward, his heavy footsteps shaking the earth as he reached out with massive hands.

BAM!

The two collided, locking hands in a test of raw, unadulterated strength to determine who was the superior beast. They poured every bit of power into the struggle.

The two seemed evenly matched in terms of physical might.

They remained locked in place, staring each other down, yet both wore savage smiles.

While maintaining his tight grip on Ugrok’s hands, Rex leaped upward, planting his feet firmly against Ugrok’s chest before delivering a powerful kick.

The force compelled Ugrok to break the lock and stagger backward.

The Cyclops's thick hide protected him from any scratches, but he soon watched as Rex began to circle him on all fours, eyes scanning for a vulnerability.

Sensing he was being hunted, Ugrok flew into a rage.

GRAAH!!

Ugrok bellowed in fury while clenching his fists—a display of Intimidation similar to a gorilla beating its chest. Had Rex been in his right mind, he might have been terrified, but the influence of the Blood Moon made him immune to fear. He roared back in defiance.

ROARR!!

It was a pure contest for dominance.

Visibly angered, Ugrok interlaced his fingers and raised his arms high above his head, veins bulging across his massive limbs.

Immediately after the system notification appeared, Ugrok brought his fists crashing down onto the earth.

BOOM!

The sheer physical force shattered the ground beneath Ugrok. Violent cracks spiderwebbed outward in a ten-meter radius.

Consequently, Rex’s feet became wedged within the shifting fissures.

He struggled to pull himself free, but he was stuck.

Ugrok’s eye gleamed with triumph at the sight of his trapped foe. He immediately charged toward Rex, raising his massive fists once more to deliver a crushing blow.

With adrenaline surging through his veins, Rex raised his arms to intercept the strike.

BAM!!

A shockwave of air erupted from the collision. Rex was buckled by the force of the hit, yet he refused to fall, fighting to stay upright.

However, this defensive posture left an opening for Ugrok.

Ugrok swung a muscular arm in a brutal hook that connected squarely with Rex’s body. He exploited Rex’s compromised balance with the precision of a natural-born brawler.

The sheer power of the punch sent Rex sailing through the air.

Even bolstered by the Blood Moon, the impact was more than Rex could easily withstand.

Roar!!

Rex howled in pain as he was tossed back like a discarded doll. He crashed through several trees, snapping them like toothpicks, before finally coming to a halt against a third trunk.

Buried under the splintered remains of the trees, Rex slowly rose to his feet, his fury reaching new heights.

His body was covered in blood from the impact, but under the crimson moon, his injuries began to knit together with unnatural speed. Any observer would have seen the gashes closing in real-time.

Wisps of white steam rose from his skin as the rapid regeneration took effect.

The physical agony only fed his rage, and Rex’s eyes shimmered with intense bloodlust as he glared at Ugrok.

Ugrok chuckled mockingly. "You Weak! Ugrok Stronger!"

In response, Rex—still in his Werewolf form—contorted his face into a sinister grin. He raised his hands high, mimicking the exact stance Ugrok had used earlier.

Startled, Ugrok froze. Before the Cyclops could recover from his shock, Rex slammed his fists into the ground.

It was a perfect mirror of Ugrok's previous move.

The earth shuddered as a network of cracks erupted from Rex's strike, though his version spanned only a six-meter radius compared to the giant's.

With his leg muscles bulging, Rex lunged at Ugrok like a dark blur.

He unsheathed his claws and delivered a vicious slash across Ugrok’s head.

Caught off guard, Ugrok took the full force of the blow. Blood began to seep from four deep gouges carved into his face.

Before the Cyclops could regain his bearings, Rex buried a heavy punch into his gut.

The strike sent Ugrok tumbling back several meters. A pained groan escaped him as he struggled to stand while clutching his midsection.

Rex stood his ground, a mocking smile on his face.

Enraged, Ugrok scanned the area and spotted the club he had thrown earlier.

With a massive arm, Ugrok retrieved the weapon. His gaze turned murderous, and his aura grew significantly more violent.

Ugrok charged Rex, swinging the heavy club in a wide, punishing arc.

Because the swing was so telegraphed, Rex easily evaded it. He countered with swift claw slashes every time Ugrok’s weapon missed its mark.

A Cyclops’s hide is incredibly resilient.

Ugrok’s thick skin absorbed most of the damage from Rex’s scratches, but the relentless assault eventually began to tear through the flesh.

Before long, Ugrok’s breathing became labored.

Despite the immense strength of his race, a Cyclops lacks stamina—a weakness exacerbated by the constant swinging of such a heavy weapon.

Ugrok lunged with a punch toward Rex.

Rex dodged as he had before, but suddenly, the club swung in from his right. He had grown overconfident since none of the previous attacks had landed.

Caught off guard, he had no time to react and took the full force of the blow.

BAM!

The impact was so massive that Rex could feel his bones fracture even in his Werewolf state. He was launched like a projectile, coughing up blood mid-air.

He smashed through a series of trees again, but this time the damage was far more severe.

Having finally landed a hit, Ugrok was overjoyed. He began to stomp toward Rex, but a sudden voice halted him in his tracks.

"What is causing such a disturbance this late?"

"It’s coming from over there. Let’s investigate."

Following the voices, a group of five individuals emerged from the brush. They were clad in blue robes with white trim, worn over black undershirts featuring a black tiger insignia on the left breast.

"WHAT?! A Cyclops!!" one of them shouted in shock.

"I thought the Emham forest was supposed to be cleared?!"

"The stories say only a few Cyclops remain. This one must have been hiding well. Should we flee? Their reputation is terrifying."

"Look at it, though. It looks like it just came out of a fight."

"And its size is much smaller than the legends describe. It’s likely just a juvenile."

The four members turned to a bald man standing in the center. He wore a silver badge on his right chest, marked with four distinct lines.

Based on the deference shown by the others, he was clearly the group leader.

"Caution is necessary. Even a juvenile can hold its own against several fourth-rank Awakened. We will test its strength; if it proves too formidable, we retreat and notify the Federal Agency of Awakened."

As he spoke, the bald man began to glow with a red hue, preparing to engage Ugrok.

The rest of the team followed suit, each manifesting their own unique elemental aura.

Seeing this new threat, Ugrok scowled and decided to make a run for it.

"Don't let it escape!" the bald man yelled, leading the pursuit of the Cyclops.

The entire team gave chase. None of them noticed the unconscious half-Werewolf lying nearby in the shadows.
