The Invincible Full-Moon System Chapter 8 Rewards
Previously on The Invincible Full-Moon System...
Rosie huddles against the wall, pulling her legs tight against her chest as Rex approaches with slow, intimidating strides.
As she gazes at Rex in terror, a wave of deep regret washes over her.
Facing Rex in his partial werewolf form, she is consumed by hopelessness. ‘Why did I ever lead him here? Death is certain now, but what purpose does my life serve anyway? Perhaps this is the right end.’
However, just as she shuts her eyes to accept the coming end,
CRASH!
The window shatters in an explosive burst, spraying glass fragments everywhere as Rex leaps through it. Several shards fly directly toward Rosie.
Rosie’s eyes snap open in shock.
Reacting instinctively to the debris caused by Rex’s exit, she quickly turns away and shields her head with her arms.
Once the danger from the shards passes, Rosie stands up and rushes to the window.
Rex is sprinting toward the woods with the ferocity of a wild animal.
Observing this, Rosie felt a flicker of surprise; she realized Rex had managed to regain control enough to flee the estate. Her expression shifted to a mix of relief and intense curiosity as she watched his figure vanish into the distance.
‘He truly is human. No Supernatural would ever hesitate to kill a mortal.’
‘But what exactly happened to him?’ Rosie wondered, her brow furrowed.
Once Rex had completely disappeared into the forest, Rosie turned to look behind her. She let out a self-deprecating smile upon seeing the training hall covered in deep claw marks left by Rex.
Placing her hands on her hips, she bit her lip. ‘How am I supposed to explain this mess?’
------
The sun rises with grace, bathing the world in a fresh glow.
The golden beams sting everything they touch. Rex’s eyes twitch beneath his lids in irritation before he slowly blinks them open, greeted by the morning light.
Rex shields his vision with his hand, trying to adjust to his surroundings.
After a moment, he pushes himself up from the dirt.
“Urghh...” Rex let out a pained groan, feeling as though every bone in his body was as brittle as a snapped twig.
He clutched his right side where the agony was most intense. “It hurts! I’m certain my ribs are broken,” he whimpered.
Even standing up, he felt a wave of dizziness.
Rex attempted to piece together the events that led to this, and suddenly, his eyes widened in realization.
The memories of the previous night began to flood back into his mind.
“No, no, no... I AM NOT A WEREWOLF!” Rex screamed, tears welling in his eyes. He could not reconcile with the reality that his humanity was gone.
He gripped the earth, his emotions a chaotic swirl dominated by fury.
The veins in his neck and arms bulged as his grip tightened on the soil. “RAARRGHH!!” he let out a howl of pure desperation.
Despite his denial, the memories of last night remained vivid and undeniable.
Rex slumped back down, clutching his head in distress. ‘How cruel is destiny? I despise the Supernatural, yet I have become the very thing I hate most...’ he thought, smiling at his own misfortune.
Then, a memory surfaced. ‘The System?!’
The moment he thought the word ‘System,’ a holographic screen manifested. Another interface popped up, taking Rex by surprise.

Rex stared at the endless stream of notifications from this mysterious system. He blinked repeatedly, feeling as though he were trapped in a dream.
He eventually shook off the daze. “I don’t want this! I refuse to be a supernatural! Get out of my body!” he yelled, desperate to purge the system from his being.
Regardless of what the system offered, Rex rejected the power.
His hatred for such creatures was etched into his soul, leaving him disgusted by his current state.
<Command Cannot Be Executed>
Reading the prompt made Rex’s blood boil. He snatched up a jagged tree branch and held it like a weapon. “If you won’t leave me, then I’ll just end my own life!”
As he prepared to strike, his hands suddenly froze.
A memory of his parents being slaughtered by that Werewolf flashed before him, followed by the demonic smirk of the beast.
That grin had plagued his nightmares since their deaths.
Thinking of that specific Werewolf made Rex’s breathing turn heavy. He slowly lowered the branch with reluctance. ‘I can’t... I am not allowed to die yet,’ he realized.
As the branch hit the ground, a single message appeared.
<To slay monsters, you must become one>
The simple sentence struck Rex to his core. His mind, previously clouded by rage, suddenly found clarity.
He began to believe the system’s logic.
‘Yes, it doesn’t matter if I turn into one of them. If I gain the strength to wipe them out... that is all that counts,’ he decided. He would use this curse for vengeance.
Revenge for what that beast did to his family.
Rex’s gaze sharpened with a brutal resolve. ‘I will use this strength to purge the Supernaturals, and when the job is done... I will take my own life.’
Rex stood up and asked, ‘System, can you truly make me more powerful?’
<Yes>
‘And this power, am I free to use it as I please?’ Rex inquired with a hint of hope.
<Yes>
Upon seeing the answer, his eyes burned with lethal intent.
He wore a dark smile thinking of the carnage he would unleash, but then a question occurred to him. ‘If you grant me Supernatural abilities, does that mean you are on their side?’
‘Does the side matter?’
<The user is free to act as they wish with the power they gain. Regardless of the user’s allegiance, the slaughter of Humans or Supernaturals is permitted and will be rewarded.>
Rex smiled deviously, feeling a rush of excitement.
With the system settled, Rex surveyed the area, which remained scarred from his battle with the Cyclop. ‘First, I need to leave this place.’
He took a single step before pausing as his ribs flared with pain. ‘They really are shattered...’
<Estimated Healing Time: 9 Hours>
‘Regeneration is certainly a useful trait,’ Rex thought as he began the trek home.
The journey was uneventful, though he received many disgusted looks from bystanders. He understood perfectly why they stared.
‘My clothes were shredded during the change; I can’t blame them,’ Rex noted.
Looking like a derelict due to his tattered rags, Rex was actually surprised no one had tried to offer him spare change yet.
As he walked, his mind returned to the night before.
‘Right! I need to track down Rosie. I have to ensure she keeps quiet about what she saw if I want to stay among humans,’ Rex realized. Suddenly,
<Sudden Quest!>
Because the user lost control during the Blood Moon, Rosie knows the user is a Supernatural. Ensure Rosie keeps your secret to prevent future complications!
Reward: 1000 Exp, and 1 Skill Upgrade
Failure: You will be hunted by the Acosta Family
Time Limit: 14 Days
‘Did thinking about her trigger a quest? Whether it’s a mission or not, I have to make sure she stays silent,’ Rex mused while reviewing the prompt.
Lost in thought, Rex soon found himself back at his residence.
It was a standard two-story house with three bedrooms. Inside, he was met by a cozy living area featuring a white couch, a wall-mounted TV, and a fireplace.
Rex felt a sense of nostalgia; he had been away in the military for years.
Hearing the front door, his mother, Mrs. Greene, peeked out from the kitchen.
“Oh, Rex! Where have you been?” she asked with a mischievous grin. She scanned him from top to bottom, noting his drastically different appearance.
Rex quickly invented an excuse. “Rosie felt unwell, so I made sure she got home safely.”
He forced a smile, trying to sell the lie.
However, the growing smirk on Mrs. Greene’s face suggested she wasn’t convinced. “Is that so? I can tell you’re making that up.”
With a suspicious glint in her eyes, she walked toward the stiffened Rex.
Instead of scolding him, she nudged him with her elbow and whispered playfully, “I know young people are bold these days, but really? You just met her, and she already invited you inside?”
“WHAT? No, Mom, I only esc—” Rex’s face turned crimson as he tried to protest, but she cut him off.
“Sure, sure! No need to hide it. But honestly, how wild was she that your clothes didn't even survive the night?” Mrs. Greene teased, clearly enjoying Rex’s embarrassed reaction.
“MOM!” Rex barked, mortified.
Without another word, he bolted to his room and slammed the door, leaving his mother’s laughter echoing behind him.
Once inside, Rex collapsed face-first onto his mattress.
“I’m exhausted. It’s good to be back,” he mumbled. He then remembered the prizes he had earned from the transformation.
He summoned the system and navigated to the Stats window.
<Stats>
<Rex Silverstar>
Level: 4 (20/300)
Race: Half-Blood (Werewolf)
Full-Moon: 27 Days - Dark Moon
Berserk: 60%
Sanity: 58%
Mental: 2
Strength: 12
Agility: 10
Endurance: 9
Intelligence: 0
Attributable Stats: 9
<Average Human Adults possess 5-7 points in each category except Intelligence>
Rex scanned the data and noticed several updates.
He saw that the Full-Moon status had shifted from Blood Moon to Dark Moon. ‘This shows the countdown to the next cycle, but what does it do? Will I have to wait until it happens to understand the Dark Moon’s effects?’
‘Regardless, I need to try and prevent another transformation like last night,’ he thought.
Beyond the moon cycle, his berserk and sanity levels had risen significantly, though he still didn't fully grasp their functions.
‘I only know sanity is tested during the Full-Moon. It likely relates to maintaining control,’ he surmised, shifting his focus to his attributes.
Strength, Agility, and Endurance had increased as promised, but Intelligence and Mental remained stagnant. He had 9 points available to distribute.
He tried to invest in Intelligence first, but was blocked.
<Unable to increase Intelligence Stat>
‘What about Mental?’ Rex wondered. To his surprise, the system allowed him to increase it.
He recalled that the Mental stat would contribute to his sanity during the Full-Moon.
Since he wanted to avoid losing control again, he decided to focus there, putting three points into Mental before looking at his physical traits.
‘That leaves Strength, Agility, and Endurance. Which one should I pick?’
After a moment of deliberation, he rubbed his tired eyes. ‘I’m too drained for this. I’ll just dump the rest into Strength.’
His updated attributes were now:
<Stats>

Rex was pleased with the new numbers. His eyes began to feel heavy from the exhaustion following the night’s events.
But before drifting off, he remembered one more reward.
‘System, where is that Talon item?’ he asked mentally.
<Reward items are kept in the Inventory tab>
Rex opened his inventory and found the object waiting.
He clicked it to see the description, and a new window appeared.
<Talon of Ballistic Garuda>
A claw from a third-rank mutated beast. It is as durable as iron and serves as weapon material. It can also be used to upgrade the user’s own claws.
‘Upgrade my claws? How?’ Rex wondered.
He double-clicked the icon to summon the item.
Instantly, a massive talon the size of a soccer ball materialized in his grip.
Rex lifted the heavy object to inspect it.
It was pitch black and felt as weighty as steel, gleaming sharply in the light from his window.
When he brought it near his own fingernails, a prompt appeared.
<Would the user like to use the Talon of Ballistic Garuda to upgrade your claws?>
Rex immediately thought, ‘Yes.’
The moment he confirmed, the talon dissolved into his own nails. It was a stinging process, but Rex endured it without much trouble.
Then, more notifications popped up:
<Received 100 Claw Exp>
<Your Claw has Leveled Up!>
<Strength stat increased by 3>
Rex’s jaw dropped in amazement. ‘I can level up my claws?! Does this mean I can upgrade other parts of my body too...?’
‘That is absolutely broken!’
