The Invincible Full-Moon System Chapter 1756: Losing Temper

Previously on The Invincible Full-Moon System...
Stelios remained unfazed by Rex's attacks, confident in his barrier, while Rex intentionally heightened his rage using the Weaver of Madness skill. Rex discovered the barrier's energy could be depleted and unleashed a powerful aura, his anger reaching monstrous levels. As their battle intensified, Amanir confronted Empress Morgana, who blocked his path to the chests, challenging her conviction about the Archangel of Knives. Stelios activated his own power of Law, revealing his true strength.

Rex had seen through the facade from the very beginning.

He had already utilized his scanning ability to dissect Stelios’ attributes and examine the hidden details of his status.

...

<Stelios (Double-Body)>

Status: Reverent.

Race: Archangel

Power: Eternal Spirit 1 (Third Circle) — Decree of Knives

Soul Artifact: -

Echo: -

Law: ???

Spiritual Points: 11,750,000 (+3,000,000)

Strength: 10, 115,500 (+10,000,000)

Agility: 8,900,000 (+8,500,000)

Endurance: 9,450,000 (+20,000,000)

...

Looking at the status window, the abnormality in his method of traversing to this realm was obvious. The System identified him as having a "double body," implying his physical form received a massive enhancement upon his arrival.

Empress Morgana.

There was no question that she was the architect behind this.

This was particularly evident because he possessed a Law despite lacking a Soul Artifact or an Echo.

Typically, a Law is only accessible when a Soul Artifact reaches a specific level of maturity and rank, dictated by the Law inherent to the user's body. For Stelios to wield a Law without a Soul Artifact meant he had followed a perverted, unnatural path of Cultivation.

It was a shortcut that boosted him to a level of power comparable to Rex.

With the backing of Empress Morgana, Stelios could undoubtedly have fashioned an even more potent vessel.

They likely possessed the means to reach the level of a Master Eternal Spirit or perhaps even a Divine Spirit.

The only reason he had stopped here was pure hubris.

To a Werewolf Hunter, having power just slightly above a Werewolf was deemed sufficient.

To ascend further would be to mock his own skills and render the final hunt meaningless.

Regardless, Rex wasn't shocked to find that Stelios also wielded the power of Law.

Swoosh!

Rex lunged forward, traversing the gap between them in a heartbeat, pulling his right arm back for a devastating strike. This wasn't a move fueled by Spirit Genesis; it was a primal, raw slash that crackled with the burning intensity of voidal energy.

His claws tore through the firmament, leaving jagged scars of energy in their wake.

Upon impact, Stelios was sent tumbling violently across the battlefield.

Boom!

Stelios stabilized mid-air, his wings snapping open with a powerful beat that propelled him toward the heavens, narrowly avoiding Rex’s subsequent attack. He repositioned himself high above, the sun’s glare at his back, reducing his figure to a menacing black silhouette.

A low growl vibrated in Rex’s throat as he glared up at his descending opponent.

Anger bubbled in his chest because Stelios had spent the entire fight exploiting his ability to fly while Rex remained grounded. Furthermore, every exchange involved Stelios trying to maintain the high ground, and the reason was obvious.

It was a display of arrogant superiority that made Rex's blood boil.

Nevertheless, Rex narrowed his gaze at the status bar hovering over Stelios.

<Energy Points: 880,000 / 1,000,000>

Their previous clash had shaved off over a hundred thousand points from the barrier’s durability.

While significant, it wasn't enough to end things.

Still, that final strike had dealt 20,000 points of damage—the most substantial blow he had landed thus far.

"Major Law of Radiance."

Rex’s heightened senses picked up the faint whisper escaping Stelios’ lips.

Though it was barely audible, he heard it clearly.

He blinked, focusing his attention on Stelios in anticipation of a change.

While Law power isn't as visible as Spirit Genesis or physical force, the target should still be able to sense it. As the one being targeted, Rex expected to feel some shift—anything at all. Yet, there was nothing.

No visual distortion, no internal warning.

Stelios appeared unchanged, the sky remained still, and Rex felt no different.

But that was merely the calm before the storm.

"This power belonged to the First Light," Stelios’ voice boomed, reaching Rex with ease. "How does it feel?"

Rex was confused by the question.

He raised an arm to shield his eyes, noticing the sunlight had become unnaturally blinding.

The rays grew harsh and oppressive, similar to the scorching heat of a barren desert wasteland.

<Warning: The user is under the influence of the Major Law of Radiance!>

<Sensitivity to sunlight and light sources is being progressively increased.>

Rex’s pupils dilated as he squinted at Stelios, but his vision blurred the more he tried to concentrate. Stelios’ face transformed into a searing orb of light, and his wings became agonizing to behold.

Simply looking at him caused a stinging pain.

Then, the physical toll began.

<Exposure to sunlight or light sources will now cause the user to suffer from exhaustion.>

A wave of lethargy suddenly crashed over his body.

Normally, his stamina in Werewolf form was virtually limitless, yet under this intense solar glare, he hit an invisible wall he couldn't bypass. This sudden restriction felt completely foreign. It had been a long time since he felt true fatigue—the kind not caused by massive blood loss or near-fatal injuries.

He had to admit, this was a difficult hurdle.

However, it wasn't enough to break him.

"Forcing me to fight in daylight, using emotional manipulation, pure enchanted silver, and now this?" Rex let out a mocking laugh, his tongue flickering as he smirked up at Stelios. "A Werewolf Hunter is supposed to be efficient, but you... you're actually terrified of me, aren't you?"

Stelios’ eyes thinned into slits.

He maintained his composed exterior, but a flicker of irritation had crossed his features.

"Quit scurrying around like a rodent. This is my first real fight against an Archangel, and you're just fluttering in the sky like a coward. Are you too afraid to bleed? This doesn't even hold a candle to a battle with a Demon Lord," Rex taunted, pointing a sharp finger at Stelios.

He unleashed the Law of Misdirection and the Law of Inevitability simultaneously. The combined invisible pressure pushed back the suffocating Major Law of Radiance, inch by inch, breaking its hold over him. "If you won't come down, I'll pull you down myself!"

Boom!

Rex’s aura exploded outward with the force of an apocalypse.

A massive wave of bloodlust drowned the surroundings in a terrifying roar.

He funneled that violent energy into his claws and slammed them into the stone earth beneath him.

CRACK!

Stelios watched with narrowed eyes as the stone foundation shattered under the impact.

Dust and debris filled the air, obscuring Rex from his sight.

'The smoke makes it hard to see,' Stelios thought, realizing that Rex’s two Laws were actually capable of competing with his own Major Law. 'But he's clearly trying to bait me into descending. Does he think I'm that easily manipulated?'

Rex moved through the haze like a ghost, acting as if he knew exactly what Stelios was thinking.

His eyes glowed with a crimson light as a bloody mist began to seep from his pores.

From his vantage point, Stelios saw the reddish smoke appearing in various spots, mixing with the dust. Suddenly, Rex’s very presence vanished, as if he had been teleported, though that seemed impossible.

Empress Morgana had already established a sealing formation in the area.

There was no escape for Rex, as the barrier was as durable as a True Divine Spirit rank.

"Pathetic tricks," Stelios said, spreading his wings and intensifying the Major Law of Radiance.

He intended to use the concentrated sunlight to burn away the crimson mist.

His head snapped to the side as he caught a sudden movement.

He assumed it was Rex, but as the haze thinned, he was stunned to see Empress Morgana. Her hair was a mess, looking as though she had been handled roughly, and she was hunched over the ground in apparent agony.

Stelios was briefly surprised, but it didn't shake his resolve.

"You're using her as bait? Do you really believe I care?" Stelios laughed, finding the attempt laughable. "She is merely a subject of the Angels. She lives only by my grace. Kill her, eat her—it makes no difference to me, though you'll only be making your own situation worse."

"It's not me he's after!" Empress Morgana screamed, her voice strained and hoarse.

Hearing her words, the smirk vanished from Stelios’ face.

"Then how about this?" Rex’s voice thundered through the air.

Stelios spun around, and his eyes widened with pure fury.

In the distance, away from Morgana, the smoke parted to reveal a maniacally laughing Rex. In his hand, he held a pure white body topped with a solid white halo.

It still hummed with powerful holy energy—it was the corpse of the Angel Origin.

Stelios had assumed Rex was hiding or waiting for an opening to attack, but he was wrong.

Instead, Rex used the smoke as a screen to return to the Tomb of Heroes and seize the Angel Origin’s remains. Empress Morgana had tried to intervene, but she had been dealt a heavy blow.

She had underestimated Rex and paid for it with a brutal strike to the gut.

"Did you think a little barrier would keep me away from this guy?" Rex asked, disrespectfully pinching the face of the Angel Origin. He slapped the corpse's cheek lightly a few times, but each hit felt like a knife twisting in Stelios’ heart. "Look at your ancestor. He's acting all high and mighty just because the Angels are back on top..."

Veins throbbed on Stelios’ forehead.

It was becoming nearly impossible to maintain his calm in the face of such a sight.

"Are you shocked that I can touch this without getting burned?" Rex asked, relishing Stelios’ expression. "The Demon Origin despised me for taking a piece of her—but compared to how much she hated this thing, who do you think she wanted dead more?"

"ROYAL BLACK PRINCE!!"

BOOM!

A shockwave of power ripped through the air.

Stelios plummeted like a falling star, crashing into the ground and shattering the landscape for miles.

His unbridled rage fueled the descent, and the destruction reflected his fury.

Rex leaped away just in time, his claws still firmly embedded in the Angel Origin’s corpse.

"Oh? Did I finally make the grand Archangel of Knives snap?" Rex laughed wildly, even going so far as to bite into the Angel Origin’s body as if it were a snack. His fangs couldn't break the skin, but the insult was the point. "I thought losing your cool was beneath someone of your station?"

"Raarggh!!"

Stelios prepared to fly up and reclaim the body.

But Rex was one step ahead.

He hurled the Angel Origin’s corpse directly at Stelios. Simultaneously, a sigil flared on the Red Dawn of Kaiser—the Blood Moon Echo was being triggered. "Forget the high ground. You're in my domain now!"

Swoosh!

Stelios caught the Angel Origin’s body gently, only to see Rex vanish.

Above him, the crimson mist swirled shut, plunging him into darkness.

He set the corpse down and erected a protective barrier around it to prevent further desecration.

Clang!

A powerful blow struck his side.

The force pushed Stelios back several paces. When he checked his defensive barrier, he saw a scorched, smoking mark on the surface. It hadn't broken the shield, but it was the first time anything had actually left a mark.

Rex's physical power had spiked.

'His strength has increased? Is this the power of the Echo he acquired?'

Clang!

Clang!

Clang!

Within a single second, ten more strikes hammered the barrier from every conceivable angle.

It felt as if he were being attacked by multiple versions of Rex simultaneously.

'I have to clear this mist!'

Stelios pulled his wings tight against his body, flooding them with as much holy energy as he could muster. He prepared to release a burst that would blow the smoke away.

Suddenly, a pair of eyes stared at him from the darkness.

"Did you actually bother to train in this world?" Rex asked, the Red Dawn of Kaiser pulsing with terrifying energy. "Your Major Law of Radiance failed the moment you let your anger take over. That’s a fatal blunder, little Archangel."

CRASH!

Stelios watched in horror as his protective barrier shattered into pieces before him.
