The Invincible Full-Moon System Chapter 1757: Full Power

Previously on The Invincible Full-Moon System...
Rex discovers Stelios was unnaturally enhanced by Empress Morgana, possessing a Law without a Soul Artifact. Stelios uses a Major Law of Radiance to blind and exhaust Rex, who retaliates by taunting Stelios about his fear and lack of efficiency. Using smoke as a diversion, Rex retrieves the Angel Origin's corpse from the Tomb of Heroes, infuriating Stelios. Rex then activates his Blood Moon Echo, shrouding Stelios in darkness and barraging him with powerful attacks.

The strike was absolutely ruinous.

Stelios watched in horror as his protective barrier shattered into fragments. The sheer kinetic force of the collision rippled through the atmosphere, launching him backward. His frame skipped and tumbled across the jagged stone, screeching against the rock until he reached the very precipice.

He scrambled for a grip at the edge, nearly plummeting from the massive stone formation.

Once he finally halted his momentum, his features remained paralyzed in disbelief.

Combating Werewolves was his specialty; he had faced countless numbers of them throughout his long existence.

Yet, none were quite like the adversary standing before him now.

While certain Werewolves were naturally sadistic and clever, prioritizing tactics over raw strength, they typically could not maintain their intellect during the heat of a struggle. The explanation was straightforward: the thrill of combat usually triggers their rage so intensely that it completely overrides their cognitive functions.

This was exactly how Stelios had dominated them for centuries.

After fighting enough Werewolves, a warrior could easily predict their predictable patterns.

Strikes fueled by pure fury are undeniably potent and chaotic, but they lack innovation—a glaring weakness unique to the Werewolves. Despite possessing the second-most powerful physique among the high-ranking Supernatural races, they suffered from this debilitating flaw.

However, the Royal Black Prince defied the norm.

His wrath influenced his psyche differently than it did for common Werewolves.

While his anger certainly made him more feral, he somehow maintained his predatory intellect. In fact, his strategic instincts seemed to be sharpened by his boiling rage.

He had gauged Stelios’ combat style and analyzed it with terrifying speed, manifesting reddish smoke to mask his movements. He had even negotiated with the Demon Origin’s consciousness to interact with the Angel Origin’s vessel without suffering backlash, all to deliver a catastrophic surprise.

Usually, nothing could provoke Stelios.

But Rex had read between the lines to identify the one thing the Archangel cherished above all else.

The Angel Origin, also known as the First Light.

It was the sole reason Stelios had entered the Spirit Realm—to perform his final hunt under the watchful gaze of the Angel Origin itself. It was meant to be a poetic conclusion to his era as the Archangel of Knives before he discarded his past to be reborn as a Dark Archangel.

Rex understood that the way to bait him was by desecrating the Angel Origin, and his intuition was flawless.

His rage never clouded his ability to think rationally.

Instead, it provided him with a lethal, narrow focus dedicated entirely to the extermination of his foe.

That was the true secret behind his victories over superior enemies.

Stelios hauled himself up and jerked his head to the side.

Boom!

A clawed hand clamped around his throat and hoisted him violently toward the sky.

Rex’s glowing eyes burned into Stelios. A wave of intense gratification washed over him now that he held the Archangel of Knives in his grasp. "Can you still fight?" he demanded. "I’m not satisfied yet, so keep going."

Crash!

With savage force, Rex slammed Stelios down into the rocky terrain.

Crash!

Crash!

He repeatedly hammered Stelios against the ground as if he were a discarded doll.

It was more of a psychological taunt than a lethal assault, though every impact sent tremors through Stelios’ internal organs.

"RAARGGH!!"

Kaboom!

Stelios’ body erupted with a burst of blinding radiance. The heat scorched Rex’s chest and forced him back, despite Rex having braced himself with a low center of gravity and his feet buried in the earth. Stelios’ six wings unfurled fully, each acting like a gluttonous vortex as they began to consume the surrounding environment.

The energy was pulled in like a powerful vacuum.

Every ounce of nearby life energy was siphoned away and transmuted into holy energy.

Rex dug his claws into the stone to resist the rushing wind, his eyes locked on his opponent.

Kaboom!

Another detonation occurred as Stelios’ form, now wreathed in holy energy, was revealed once more.

The flowing silk that previously adorned him had been replaced by shimmering golden holy armor.

Rex could sense Stelios’ power escalating significantly just from the pressure of his aura, a boost provided by those six wings. Furthermore, the runic magic circle behind the Archangel manifested again—brighter and more formidable—transforming the hundred holy knives within its radius.

"You shall suffer for your sacrilege," he hissed with pure hatred. "I have had quite enough of you..."

<Notice: Stelios has entered his Archangel Form!>

Upon seeing the system notification, a dark grin spread across Rex’s face.

"Only the strongest gets to survive!" he bellowed as his own aura surged toward the heavens.

Kaboom!!

Since Stelios was unleashing his full potential, Rex felt it only right to do the same.

Rex’s aura flooded the area, washing over the ground like a crimson tide. Everything in the vicinity was stained the color of blood.

Both of his hands, clad in the Red Dawn of Kaiser, began to burn with a violent intensity, brimming with more power than he had ever summoned. No observer would believe the energy he was emitting belonged to an Eternal Spirit.

It was too concentrated, too overwhelming, and far too sinister for that rank.

A spherical moon manifested on the back of his hands as he triggered his newest ability.

His personal original echo—the Blood Moon Echo.

Boom!

Physical blood began to seep from the Blood Moon Echo, coiling around his arms like serpents before merging into his veins. The moment they entered his system, he gasped for air and threw his head back.

Rex was stunned by the magnitude of the power flooding his body—it surpassed all his calculations.

It was a hundred times more potent than the Spellcaster Echo or the Dark Auctoritas Echo.

This was because his compatibility with the Blood Moon Echo was absolute perfection.

The surrounding landscape cracked and imploded, crushed by the sheer weight of his presence. As he finally leveled his gaze, a bright crimson sigil ignited on his forehead in the shape of a blood moon.

It looked similar to the King Mark, yet this symbol was the child of the Blood Moon Echo.

For a fleeting moment, time seemed to stop.

Both combatants stood bathed in their respective powers, syncing their minds to their transformed states.

When that second passed, they both lunged forward.

"Royal Black Prince!!"

"Raaarghk!!"

Kaboom!!

Rex and Stelios collided with every bit of strength they possessed.

To their mutual shock, they were both thrown back—their power levels were now perfectly balanced.

In the following instant, the duel truly began.

The environment disintegrated as they exchanged dozens of blows in a single heartbeat, moving like streaks of energy too rapid for anyone below the Eternal Spirit rank to track. It was like watching two bolts of lightning dancing.

One moment they were tearing up the earth, the next they were clashing in the clouds.

"Holy Spell: Heaven’s Eye!"

Stelios soared upward and expanded his chest plate.

A dense orb of light materialized at the center of his chest, discharging a beam of plasma as wide as a house.

Rex watched the searing light plummet toward the ground, boring a hole straight through the entire rock formation. He had less than a second to react before his survival instincts forced him to dodge.

NGONGG!

The beam suddenly angled upward, clipping his elbow.

As he tumbled away, Rex looked at the point of impact—the stone formation had been sliced through cleanly, and even the sky above was parted along the beam’s trajectory. It was a terrifying spell Stelios had been holding in reserve.

Then, he checked his injury... and stopped cold.

His elbow, which had only been grazed, was gone—erased into nothingness.

A direct hit would have been fatal.

Rex’s Parasitic Regeneration triggered immediately, siphoning ambient energy to force his body to heal with desperate speed. As his elbow knitted back together in a blur of flesh, he reached out his hand, fingers hooking as if to grab the Archangel’s destiny.

"Spirit Genesis: Inevitable Death."

Swoosh!

Anticipating the move, Stelios folded his wings like a celestial bulwark.

He knew the spatial dimensions would be sealed, so he opted for a total defensive posture.

The red life energy reached him but could not penetrate his guard.

This was the weakness Stelios had identified in the Inevitable Death skill.

Even though the Law of Inevitability ensured the Spirit Genesis would strike, it didn't mean the damage was unavoidable. As long as he maintained a defensive stance when Rex used it, he felt safe.

Sensing the spatial lock fade, Stelios prepared to counter-attack.

But before he could strike, Rex’s body vanished as if he had slipped out of existence. Suddenly, Rex reappeared directly in front of him—like a demon emerging from the shadows.

A hand gripped Stelios’ throat the moment he materialized, precise and lethal.

His holy armor protected nearly everything, including his head, but his neck remained a vulnerability.

It was a gap Rex could exploit, and he was doing so now.

Rex had planned for this exact opening.

Stelios assumed the Inevitable Death had ended, but it was still tracking him.

"I’ve been using the Law of Inevitability for a long time," Rex snarled, his fangs bared as he pulled Stelios close. "Did you honestly believe my control over it was so basic? You may have observed me, but things are not always as they appear."

"Keuk—!" Stelios struggled to breathe, his eyes wide as Rex’s grip tightened with murderous intent.

Taking no chances, Rex squeezed to crush Stelios’ windpipe.

But as he did, the runic circle behind Stelios emitted a sharp, mechanical click.

Splash!

Rex’s eyes went wide as both of his arms were cleanly severed, spraying blood into the air.

Immediately after, another blade shot out, piercing toward his midsection.

At the last possible moment, one of his arms regrew and caught the point of the massive blade.

Crash!

Rex was sent flying, bouncing off the stone formation and shattering huge boulders as he tumbled. He had barely avoided being impaled by this specific knife, which felt much more lethal than the others, being crafted entirely of pure white light.

Looking at his right palm, he realized the weapon was made of enchanted pure silver.

A wound from that would have been disastrous.

His left arm began to regenerate in a violent surge of muscle and bone, fighting through the healing suppression emitted by Stelios’ halo. But when Rex looked up, he saw a deluge of thousands of knives raining down on him like a metal landslide.

He leaped backward just in time to escape the swarm.

However, his focus shifted as he saw two figures of light flanking him.

One was the actual Stelios, while the other was a clone made of pure radiance.

Rex engaged both Archangels, striking at one while utilizing the Aegis of Moon Sentinel to hold off the other.

Sparks showered the area with every hit.

His reflexes and instincts were pushed to their breaking point; the gap between strikes was less than a fraction of a second. A single error would leave him trapped in a lethal combo, putting him at a severe disadvantage.

Sweat poured from Stelios’ brow while steam rose from Rex’s overheated body.

Both were enduring the agony of the fight.

Clang!!

Rex found a gap and landed a heavy blow against the side of Stelios’ armor, the sound echoing like a cracked bell. He didn't stop there. He followed up with a brutal clawed uppercut that sent Stelios spiraling into the air.

A thin trail of blood escaped the Archangel’s mouth.

It was the first time Rex had drawn blood in this encounter.

But above them, the sky had already been torn asunder.

During their previous exchange, Stelios had been charging a massive attack, and it was now complete.

"You die here, Royal Black Prince! This is the end!!" Stelios raised his arms high. "Archangel Decree: Knives of Stelios! Knife of Judgment!"

Rex stared at the apocalyptic sight above and ignited his original echo, "Blood Moon Genesis: Ravenous Maw of Magna!"
