The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2357 The monster that stood above the King of the Root
Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
A colossal gateway manifested before the King of the Root.
It was the Scarlet Throne.
As the doors swung wide, they did not reveal a prison for lost souls. Instead, a domain overflowing with armaments was unveiled—a boundless ocean of blades, spears, hammers, and halberds, each vibrating with a distinct and powerful aura.
"Chaos of the Scarlet Throne!"
Cain’s roar caused the void itself to shudder. Brilliant scarlet light erupted, and a multitude of portals materialized within the emptiness. From these openings, shadows of figures began to step forth.
Radagon’s pupils contracted in shock.
He recognized the True Primordial of the Void, the elites of the Scarlet Kingdom, and the supreme powerhouses of the Six Sacred Races. Every living being that had participated in the Invasion of the Heart of the Root—every warrior who had once stood alongside the Scarlet King—was present.
"GATE OF BABYLON!"
Cain bellowed once more, activating the Unique Ability he had unlocked upon reaching the state of Ego Above Reality. This power distilled every fragment of his being, the collective essence of his allies, and the fundamental energy of the universe.
In a flash, all the spectral phantoms transformed into weapons.
A torrential rain of steel descended upon the King of the Root.
A spear imbued with the Primordial Force of the Void led the assault, slamming into Radagon’s chest and knocking the very breath from his lungs.
Before he could react, a lance wreathed in crackling lightning streaked forward with blinding speed, impaling his shoulder.
Simultaneously, a pair of swords—one glowing with holy light and the other drenched in gore—carved into his midsection. A crimson warhammer smashed down upon his skull, while a halberd wreathed in pale plasma sliced deep into his waist.
Six legendary weapons—representing Anark and the champions of the Six Sacred Races—struck Radagon at once with devastating momentum.
Then, the floodgates opened.
Weapon after weapon hammered into the King of the Root, driving him deeper into the crust of the twisted, corrupted world. Each strike pulverized the tainted earth and sent tremors through the fabric of reality.
Pure horror finally flickered in Radagon’s gaze.
The speed at which his physical form was being decimated far outpaced his regenerative abilities.
"Am I... actually going to die?"
The thought surfaced unbidden, and a wave of terror consumed his heart.
That fear brought a grim satisfaction to the Scarlet King.
Truthfully, even Cain was startled by the sheer destructive potential of the Unique Ability granted by the Lucid Dream. It eclipsed the three Innate Abilities enhanced by Resurreccion by a staggering margin.
However, Cain remained focused.
He had arrived to demonstrate his dominance—but if he could execute Radagon right here, it would be a superior outcome.
He maintained his relentless pressure.
The storm of Chaos Weapons intensified, becoming even more savage.
"BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!"
A sequence of thunderous explosions rocked the World of the Root. When the smoke partially cleared, Radagon had been reduced to a mere head and chest, buried deep within the blighted soil.
Yet, just as the King of the Root seemed defeated, the entire planet convulsed.
A new entity emerged from the core of the corrupted world.
He was a titan—a grotesque fusion of dragon and demon. Jagged plates of armor were fused into his skin, pulsing with dark energy. Massive, bat-like wings spread from his back, their every flap threatening to tear space-time apart. His muscular arms gripped two enormous axes, looking as though they possessed the strength to cleave worlds.
With a force that shattered logic, the beast swung his weapons.
Each stroke wiped out entire waves of Chaos Weapons instantly.
Cain’s eyes narrowed.
He had never encountered this being before, but its soul aura was impossible to mistake. This was one of the two entities that had successfully breached the Gate to the Emptiness.
"I cannot gauge its full power," Cain thought to himself, "but in terms of raw ferocity, this beast is even more terrifying than the Ancient One."
Just as he had gained the upper hand against Radagon, a true sovereign of the World of the Root had stepped forward—a living manifestation of the world's malice.
Instead of retreating, Cain’s killing intent flared.
If he could slay this monster, the war against the Root would be effectively decided.
Roaring, Cain pushed the Gate of Babylon to its absolute breaking point.
Disregarding the destruction of his Chaos Weapons, he burned his remaining energy to re-summon the weapons of Anark and the Six Sacred Races' elite.
The creature’s eyes widened as it noticed those specific Chaos Weapons.
However, he didn't feel fear; instead, a bloodthirsty, predatory grin stretched across his face.
His body erupted with dark power. Rotting veins bulged beneath his skin like crawling worms, forcing his physical strength to new heights as he charged headlong into the barrage.
"BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!"
Six world-shaking blasts occurred, each with the power of a localized apocalypse.
Blood sprayed from the monster’s mouth. The veins in his arms shattered under the pressure, leaking corrupted fluid into the void. His internal organs were devastated by the impact—yet he did not falter.
He simply licked the gore from his lips with a long tongue, flashing a savage smile.
Then, he lunged forward.
Wave after wave of Chaos Weapons crumbled as the beast closed the gap, his axes cleaving through strikes that would have obliterated any lesser foe.
Blood began to leak from Cain’s eyes as he poured everything into the Gate of Babylon. Agony tore through his soul, but he held firm, channeling every ounce of his resolve.
Despite the overwhelming barrage, the monster standing above Radagon broke through, appearing directly in front of Cain in an instant.
His grin widened with feral joy as he swung his massive axe, aiming directly for the Scarlet King’s throat.
