The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2322 The Enlightened One vs a native

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
Bradly struggles to survive a brutal onslaught from a violet-eyed stranger whose obsidian-skinned fist possesses overwhelming physical power. To turn the tide, the Neo-Angel triggers Salvation Incarnation by drawing upon the ancient laws of Origin Island, momentarily gaining the upper hand with enhanced speed and plasma wings. However, the stranger retaliates by revealing his own devastating transformation, the Asura Form, which covers his entire body in jet-black skin. As the battle intensifies, a momentary lapse in Bradly’s mental defenses reveals a potential connection to the Scarlet King, fueling a desperate and final surge of killing intent.

For several minutes, the woods surrounding the pond shuddered as trees were uprooted and boulders shattered under the force of a violent confrontation. Eventually, the chaos subsided, and a heavy stillness returned to the area.

Standing at the epicenter of the ravaged battlefield was the man with violet eyes. Though his breathing was labored and his face betrayed deep exhaustion, his focus remained sharp and unwavering.

With a single hand, he hoisted the unconscious Neo-Angel by the throat. After casting a final wary look around the perimeter to ensure no one was closing in, he vanished into the distance, bringing Bradly's limp body with him.

Traversing a jagged, ash-strewn landscape near a rumbling volcano, the Enlightened One wore a look of grim determination. Since his arrival on Origin Island, he had faced a series of escalating perils, each more formidable than the last. It was becoming clear that the further he delved into the island’s heart, the more lethal the environment became.

However, his journey had not been without progress. Shortly after reaching this realm, his cultivation had finally reached a breakthrough. After a staggering billion years of stagnation, he had transcended the ArchDeity Rank to become an Alpha-Omega Overgod. This evolution was providential; without this new level of power, he doubted he could have endured the island's many dangers for long.

A brilliant golden light radiated from his eyes—the concentrated power of the Flow—as he tracked the lingering vibrations and frequencies of his allies. Simultaneously, he remained hyper-vigilant of the shattered, scorching terrain surrounding him.

Fissures in the earth frequently erupted with plumes of scalding gas, steam, and sulfur, any of which possessed the heat to liquefy his flesh instantly. Navigating the flank of an active volcano was a gamble, but he had sensed a familiar aura in this direction. While he couldn't pinpoint the identity of the person, he was certain they were not a Neo-Angel, which was reason enough to press on. Unfortunately for the Enlightened One, as he reached the midpoint of the volcanic zone, his senses spiked. He whipped his head to the side as a humanoid figure, wreathed in magma hot enough to incinerate bone, descended from the volcano’s peak. The molten form plummeted through the air, landing heavily just a few hundred meters ahead of him.

A sudden shockwave blasted the clinging lava away, revealing a stunning woman with piercing violet eyes. Her white hair whipped to the side, caught in the wake of her surging energy. She was dressed in a sleeveless, high-collared garment that merged regal elegance with the utility of a warrior. Her gaze was tranquil but firm, filled with a sharp, inquisitive light as she locked eyes with the Enlightened One.

"Who are you, and with whom did you come?" she questioned.

The Enlightened One inhaled deeply, focusing his senses as the Flow vibrated, attempting to read her essence. A native? She certainly doesn't belong to the Life Path, nor does she have the look of a Neo-Angel.

The woman’s violet eyes narrowed instantly. "Life Path... Neo-Angels. What do you mean by those terms?"

The Enlightened One’s pupils dilated. In that heartbeat, he realized her capability—she was reading his very thoughts. He immediately purged his mind of all distractions, focusing solely on her presence and the necessity of flight.

The power of the Flow surged within his Dantian as he scouted for an escape route. He was no coward, but her aura suggested a strength superior to his own. While he would gladly risk his life against the Neo-Angels, there was no wisdom in wasting his Cultivation in a battle against the natives.

His mission here was not slaughter or conquest, but to reach the Eternity Gate and prevent the Freedom Path from passing through—that was his sole priority.

Without warning, the Enlightened One bolted to the side, golden light erupting from his legs as he propelled himself forward with incredible velocity. Yet, the violet-eyed woman closed the gap with effortless grace. Her hand flattened like the tip of a spear as she lunged toward his throat.

Just as the blow was set to connect, the golden radiance in the Enlightened One’s eyes flared. Moving with perfect timing, he evaded the strike, seized her arm, and used her momentum to twist her through the air, hurling her away.

Showing master-class martial prowess, the woman corrected her posture mid-flight and landed in a steady combat stance. Even so, her eyes widened with a mixture of curiosity and confusion.

"You knew where my attack was going before I made it," she murmured. A moment later, her expression hardened. "You are not one of us. How did you do that?"

The Enlightened One had no desire to reveal the secrets of the Flow. He resumed his retreat at maximum speed, sprinting across the treacherous ground. Despite her momentary shock, the violet-eyed woman gave chase immediately, once again catching up to him without visible effort.

He gritted his teeth, doing his utmost to parry her strikes while maintaining his forward flight. However, the Flow’s predictive edge was beginning to fail; since she could read his mind, she anticipated his counters before he could even manifest them.

"BOOM!"

A thunderous impact echoed as her palm slammed directly into his chest. His body felt as if his very blood had turned to ice, and he was sent tumbling across the rocky, ash-covered ground. Snarling through the pain, the Enlightened One forced himself back to his feet. A staff materialized in his grip, and he swung it in a wide arc toward the approaching woman.

She moved with fluid precision, dancing around the weapon to close the distance once more. This time, her hand transformed into a razor-sharp blade, slashing across his chest before she followed up with a punishing kick to his ribs.

The Enlightened One drove his staff into the earth to arrest his momentum and stabilize himself. But before he could react further, a wave of agony washed over him, and the lacerations on his chest erupted in a spray of crimson.

She had precisely severed every major vessel across his chest with that single strike.

He ground his teeth together as the wounds throbbed with every heartbeat. His face darkened; it was now painfully clear just how dire his situation had become.
