The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2301 The Three Moons

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
The Neo-Angel and the ArchDeities of the Freedom Path have retreated from the battlefield, narrowly escaping the Skull Lord’s overwhelming final assault. Following the conflict, the Skull Lord expressed deep gratitude to Cain and his companions for their timely intervention against a dangerous prototype weapon. Upon learning that Cain wields the Power of Chaos, the Skull Lord revealed that the Demon King has agreed to a meeting in the Fifth Realm within six months. However, tension remains as Cain declares his intent to execute the Three Moons for interfering with his destiny once the current war concludes.

Skull Lord fixed his gaze upon Cain for a long duration, silently evaluating the young man's claims. Eventually, the True Depravita gave a slow nod of agreement.

"I grasp the complexity of your position," Skull Lord remarked in a neutral tone. "Provided you can maintain your composure should the truth prove distasteful, and assuming you can delay your actions until the conclusion of this war, I shall not obstruct you. Nevertheless, I can only authorize a meeting for the purpose of seeking answers. I will not permit you to

inflict any harm upon the Three Moons."

Cain remained silent as he listened, his features remaining perfectly still.

"While they decline to engage in direct combat," Skull Lord added, "their intelligence has proven indispensable to our war efforts. We have maintained dominance over sixty percent of the Fourth Realm's continents solely because of their counsel. To lose such an asset now would be a catastrophic blow to the Life Path at this critical juncture."

Cain gave an immediate nod. He was well aware of the broader stakes involved. Regardless of his own thirst for justice, the scale of this conflict eclipsed any individual grudge.

Observing Cain intently and finding no traces of suppressed rage or impatience, Skull Lord allowed himself a small gesture of approval.

"The Freedom Path won't be initiating any movements for some time," he noted. "This is the perfect window. If it pleases you, we shall depart to meet the Three Moons immediately!"

"Excellent," Cain answered, a thin smile touching his lips. "There is no point in waiting."

With a nod, Skull Lord turned to lead the group across the vast expanse of the Fourth Realm.

With the immediate threat neutralized, Cain, Meylin, and the Enlightened One finally had the opportunity to survey their environment. Despite the scars left by the ongoing conflict, the Fourth Realm displayed a breathtaking

splendor that was truly unique. Below skies shimmering with a pale glow, massive landmasses stretched out, while celestial wonders drifted across the horizon like sluggish constellations. The purity and density of the natural Qi here far exceeded anything found in the lower realms; every inhalation felt heavy with power.

Throughout the trek, the three of them quietly focused on their internal Cultivation, absorbing the ambient energy to wash away the fatigue of the Realm Barrier crossing and their recent skirmish. Cain sensed his Astral Black Hole reaching a new level of stability, as his mastery over Chaos became more nuanced and controlled. Meylin’s presence grew increasingly frigid and sharp, while the Enlightened One emitted an aura of deep wisdom, his Dream state vibrating with a rhythmic pulse.

Following four days of travel without pause, they arrived at a colossal continent. Unlike the previous lands they had skirted, this territory showed no signs of war. The peaks were whole, the atmosphere was clear of battle-smoke, and the cities radiated a sense of serene majesty.

Cain, Meylin, and the Enlightened One traded looks of confusion before turning toward Skull Lord.

A dry, faint smile appeared on the True Depravita’s face. "This place remains a mystery even to me. Whenever violence threatens to touch this soil, it is inexplicably redirected. Some suggest the Three Moons possess the power to subtly manipulate causality. Others argue they used their foresight to establish their Sect in the only location destined to escape the fires of war."

Neither theory provided much comfort.

A flicker of wariness appeared in Meylin's gaze, a sentiment shared by the Enlightened One as he sharpened his focus. Cain, however, was unfazed. His crimson eyes remained steady, unaffected by talk of fate or enigmas.

At the continent's center lay the domain of the Three Moons—and its scale was every bit as grand as the rumors claimed.

The stronghold was immense, occupying the landscape like a sprawling metropolis. Hovering above it, three gigantic moons rotated in a synchronized dance, bathing

the architecture in shifting shades of violet, silver, and soft gold. Their radiance bent through the air, painting moving designs across spires and towers that seemed to ignore the laws of geometry.

Suddenly, a figure manifested before them.

She was perched upon a crumbling throne like a sovereign of shadows, her pale countenance appearing detached and calm. Her hair, styled in complex braids, framed a face with eyes that seemed empty yet authoritative, as if they looked into a realm beyond the living. Behind her stood a massive skeletal sentinel, draped in green mist and ghostly energy, looming silently.

Cain’s gaze narrowed.

When sensing her through The Flow, her existence felt vague and difficult to pin down—almost as if she wasn't there. However, when he activated the Chaos within his Dantian, the illusions of reality fell away, revealing the truth.

"A Peak ArchDeity," Cain noted to himself.

The woman rose gracefully from her seat and gave Skull Lord a respectful, formal bow. She then shifted her attention to Cain.

"I am Sabrina," she introduced herself with a steady, calm voice. "High Elder of the Three Moons Kingdom. Our Matriarch has been expecting your

arrival, Scarlet King."

She then turned her eyes toward Meylin.

"And yours as well, Queen of Original Sin."

Cain and Meylin both narrowed their eyes. It was clear from her greeting that their arrival had been foreseen, even though they had only just made the decision to come. Despite this, neither showed any outward signs of being rattled.

They acknowledged her with a curt nod.

A small smile played on Sabrina's lips. "Come with me. The others must wait outside."

She turned on her heel and began guiding Cain and Meylin toward the inner sanctum of the fortress.

Skull Lord and the Enlightened One raised no objections. They recognized this as a moment for diplomacy, not war. Even if Cain failed to get his answers, he had already pledged to refrain from attacking the Three Moons—for the time being.

Eventually, they stood before a set of massive doors engraved with ancient symbols of the moon. Sabrina bowed once more before departing, leaving Cain and Meylin

standing alone at the entrance.

The two shared a quick glance.

Then, Cain pushed the heavy gates open.

Deep shadows spilled from the room, drowning out all light and sound. As their vision cleared, three figures emerged from the gloom—three striking women standing in unison. As they stepped forward, their images blurred and fused together, transforming into a single being with three distinct faces.

The face in the center glowed with eyes of molten amber, sharp and present—the Present. To its side, the face of the Past looked out with hollow grief, burdened by ancient memories. On the other side, the face of the Future stared into the void with a cold, distant, and threatening gaze.

The entity was draped in tattered black robes embellished with golden trinkets—remnants of forgotten moon-worshiping rites.

"We have been waiting for you, Scarlet King," the Three Moons spoke together, their combined voices sounding both divine and terrifying.
