The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2300 I will kill them

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
The Skull Lord faces overwhelming pressure from a Neo-Angel’s reality-warping strikes until a flawed Alpha-Omega Prototype joins the ambush, threatening to tip the scales. Cain arrives just in time to intercept the golem-like abomination, utilizing his Viral Will and Imperium Seeds to corrode the creature’s unstable structure from within. As the Scarlet King and Skull Lord coordinate their efforts, Meylin and the Enlightened One launch a devastating surprise attack on the Freedom Path’s ArchDeities. Realizing his strategic advantages have been dismantled by the reinforcements, the Neo-Angel is forced into a bitter retreat as the tide of the battlefield shifts.

A murderous chill ignited within the Skull Lord's gaze as he watched the Neo-Angel attempt to flee. Having just survived a treacherous ambush that nearly left him with catastrophic injuries, he had no intention of allowing his foe to escape with his life.

The explosive power of his war horse surged forward, its momentum growing exponentially. With a final, devastating charge, the Skull Lord swung his weapon with a slashing force so potent it seemed capable of sundering reality itself. Under the beast's thundering hooves, the very fabric of space trembled, and cracks began to spiderweb across the firmament like shattered glass.

Despite being forced into a retreat, the Neo-Angel refused to break. He grit his teeth and summoned layers of defensive Qi, deliberately sacrificing his position to buy precious seconds. Every collision between their powers echoed like the death throes of a collapsing star, yet the Neo-Angel’s desperate strategy slowly began to yield results.

One by one, the ArchDeities of the Freedom Path broke away from their engagements. They tore open spatial rifts and vanished into the void, putting vast distances between themselves and the carnage of the battlefield.

Only after every subordinate had reached safety did the Neo-Angel prepare his own departure. Casting a final look of pure hatred and resentment at the Scarlet King, he grabbed the flickering, damaged Prototype and disappeared into a violent warp of distorted space.

For several long seconds, the Skull Lord remained completely still. The savage aura radiating from him continued to expand, threatening to boil over into a mindless slaughter.

However, his status as a True Depravita allowed him to slowly regain mastery over his soul. His breathing gradually leveled out. As he deactivated his Redemption Incarnation, the turbulent energy receded; his massive war horse dissolved into shimmering specks of violet light, and the suffocating pressure around him died down like fading embers after a hurricane.

Without wasting a breath, the Skull Lord turned his attention to the battlefield below, his voice ringing out with an authority that demanded total obedience.

"Return to your domains. Reinforce your defenses. Heal the wounded."

The surviving ArchDeities lingered for only a moment. Many stole curious and wary glances at the Scarlet King, silently questioning the identity of this figure with crimson wings.

Any being capable of turning the tide in a clash between Alpha-Omega Overgods was certainly a formidable existence.

But the Skull Lord’s word was law. They offered deep bows and departed the area without a single word of protest.

Within moments, a heavy silence descended upon the battlefield.

Only four individuals remained behind.

Skull Lord, Cain, Meylin, and the Enlightened One.

The True Depravita faced the group and pressed his hands together, bowing low in a gesture of sincere appreciation.

"You have my thanks," the Skull Lord stated with gravity. "The Prototype caught me off guard. Without your intervention, the outcome could have been disastrous."

Cain returned the gesture with a subtle smile, and Meylin and the Enlightened One followed suit. To see such genuine humility from a master of the Skull Lord’s caliber was unexpected. Many who attained such high levels of Cultivation often abandoned basic etiquette, particularly when dealing with those of lower status. This display left a favorable impression on the three companions.

Upon standing straight, the Skull Lord’s eyes briefly flickered toward Meylin before locking onto Cain.

"Zarazel sent word that you would be coming," he remarked. "However, your arrival is much earlier than anticipated. How did you manage to transition into the Fourth Realm so rapidly? Is there a hidden portal I am unaware of?"

Cain wasn't surprised by the inquiry. An unmonitored bridge between worlds could be seized by the Freedom Path to funnel massive waves of reincarnation from other realms, an act that could ruin the stability of the entire Fourth Realm.

"I utilized the Power of Chaos," Cain explained evenly. "I identify the weak points in the realm barriers and travel through them directly."

The Skull Lord went rigid.

Visible shock crossed his face, followed immediately by a mixture of doubt and profound awe.

"The Power of Chaos?" he asked, his voice hushed. "The very same force Adam used to assist my Master’s evolution? You are capable of wielding such a power!?"

Cain lifted an eyebrow in mild surprise. When he had used Chaos in front of Zarazel, the True Depravita of Fear had recognized its strength but hadn't seemed to grasp its legendary weight.

In contrast, the Skull Lord clearly understood the history and the weight of that power, suggesting his bond with the Demon King was far closer than Zarazel's.

"Yes," Cain confirmed with a nod. "That very power."

The reverence in the Skull Lord’s eyes intensified. To him, Chaos was more than mere energy; it was the divine catalyst that allowed the Demon King to transcend his limitations and become a Primal True Depravita. Very few existences could even perceive such a force, let alone control it.

After a few moments, the Skull Lord let out a long breath to steady himself.

"My Master has acknowledged your message," he said. "He has not only agreed to a meeting—he is looking forward to it. There are vital matters he wishes to discuss with you in person."

Cain’s eyes sparkled with interest.

"You must reach the Fifth Realm within the next six months," the Skull Lord added. "He will seek you out there."

A broad grin appeared on Cain’s face. Securing an audience with the Demon King was a primary goal. Though six months felt like a long duration, he wasn't about to complain; managing an inter-realm war left very little time for relaxation.

"I understand," Cain replied. "I will be there!"

There was a short pause before Cain’s gaze sharpened, a lethal glint appearing in his red eyes.

"What of our mission here in the Fourth Realm?"

A complex emotion flickered in the Skull Lord’s eyes.

"Before I provide an answer," he said cautiously, "explain your intentions regarding the Three Moons."

Cain took a moment to consider his words.

The Skull Lord was vastly more powerful than him and served as the undisputed commander of the Life Path in this realm. If they ended up on opposite sides, reaching the Three Moons would be an impossible task.

"They meddled with my fate," Cain finally stated. "They spoke prophecies concerning me, and the most recent one painted a target on my back for the Ancient One. I intend to find out why."

The Skull Lord scrutinized Cain, his face a mask of neutrality.

"And if their explanation is unsatisfactory?" he questioned.

"I will kill them."

The response was immediate and devoid of hesitation. Cain’s tone was level, certain, and final. He would not tolerate anyone who dared to manipulate his destiny.

After a brief silence, Cain added a final condition.

"Naturally, I will postpone any action until the conflict with the Ancient One has concluded. That is my promise."
