The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2297 To the Fourth Realm (III)

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
After regrouping with Meylin and the Enlightened One, Cain utilizes the Power of Chaos to locate a structural weakness in the barrier separating the realms. He successfully navigates the trio through a turbulent passage of distorted causality, bypassing the need for a destructive technique that would have caused him immense backlash. Upon emerging into the Third Realm, they find themselves in the heart of a violent conflict between the Freedom Path and Life Path. Cain immediately intervenes, capturing two ArchDeities within the Scarlet Throne before extracting vital intelligence regarding the current state of the war from their memories.

"At last, some positive news."

Cain’s lips curled into a subtle smile as he finished sifting through the memories he had forcibly taken from the ArchDeity. Conditions within the Third Realm were significantly more stable than he had dared to hope.

To resurrect Bradly, the Ancient One had sacrificed a staggering amount of resources, even gifting the Neo-Angel various potent treasures to regain his footing. However, those maneuvers proved futile against Tiramisu’s overwhelming raw power and brilliant tactical mind. While a few landmasses had been reclaimed by the Freedom Path, the Life Path—commanded by Tiramisu—maintained its grip on over eighty percent of the Third Realm. Crucially, this dominion was absolute.

The True Depravita of Primal Fury had established a sovereign rule over her territories, fortifying them with complex defenses and a flawless supply chain. She required no reinforcements from him.

Cain shifted his attention to the Life Path ArchDeities standing nearby, who were regarding him with visible reverence. Years had passed, and Cain had spent the majority of that time secluded within the Red King’s Sacred Dimension, yet his reputation in the Third Realm had only intensified. The Scarlet King was no longer viewed as a mere rising talent; he had become a living monument to total victory.

Lifting his hand, Cain manifested a crimson orb above his palm, which then floated softly toward the group.

"Contained within this sphere are the entire memory banks of the two ArchDeities I struck down," Cain remarked in a level tone. "Tiramisu may find the information beneficial."

With profound respect, the ArchDeities received the orb. "We shall deliver this to her personally," one promised, bowing low.

Cain gave a short nod. "Furthermore, give the True Depravita of Primal Fury my regards. Tell her our departure is imminent, so we cannot assist with any immediate operations or tactics she might be devising."

A shadow of regret passed over their features. To battle alongside the Scarlet King would have been a legendary honor to recount for generations. Nevertheless, they were aware that a man of Cain’s stature would never remain stationary for long.

The ArchDeities offered their final gratitudes and took their leave.

Moments later, Meylin and the Enlightened One ascended to the sky to join Cain. The spatial ripples caused by their transit through the Realm Barrier had vanished entirely, and both had returned to their peak state of Cultivation.

"I require one day of rest," Cain declared. "After that, I will locate a vulnerable point in the barrier to access the Fourth Realm."

His companions agreed without a second thought.

A profound silence settled over the following day. Cain spent the time refining his soul force, circulating the life essence harvested from his recent conflicts while deepening his synchronization with the Power of Chaos. Meanwhile, the Enlightened One worked on stabilizing his Cultivation, and Meylin focused on tempering her foundations to ensure her power remained steady during the upcoming ascent.

Conflict was intensifying across all realms. War had broken out in countless sectors, and while Cain could easily eliminate standard ArchDeities, the Fourth Realm presented a new tier of danger. Beings existed there who stood near the apex of the Crimson World—entities who might actually possess the strength to challenge him.

They could not permit themselves any lapse in vigilance.

As the day concluded, Cain’s eyes snapped open. A scarlet glow radiated from his pupils as he scanned the highest reaches of the firmament. After hours of quiet scrutiny, he identified it—a section where the Realm Barrier grew thin and the governing laws were slightly out of alignment.

The three of them arrived at the location shortly after.

They traded a brief, determined look. Cain’s Wings of Chaos unfurled, wrapping protectively around Meylin and the Enlightened One as he stepped forward into the void.

This particular barrier was unlike the others.

The sheer energy density and the crushing weight of space-time were vastly superior to the previous Realm transition.

"It is as expected," Cain whispered. "The Fourth Realm is situated closer to the tower's summit, where the cosmic Qi is at its most pure, heavy, and lethal."

He sharpened his intent and pushed through the resistance.

Traversing this barrier proved to be many times more difficult. Chaotic laws clashed and merged, spawning violent currents capable of shredding an ArchDeity in an instant. Cain bypassed the danger by utilizing the primal state of Chaos, blending his essence with reality rather than attempting to shatter it by force.

Days turned into weeks.

Almost a month had passed by the time Cain perceived the far side of the boundary. Even with his staggering vitality, he felt the strain. Yet, he refused to falter. Using every ounce of his remaining power, he pinpointed a weak spot and struck with precision.

The barrier tore open.

The group finally stepped out into the Fourth Realm.

They were greeted by a sky of monochrome black and white, dominated by a colossal white sun that spanned the heavens. The environment felt dreamlike—sharper and more vivid, yet oppressive in its heaviness. Every lungful of air was saturated with thick cosmic energy, and even the simplest movement required a conscious effort of will.

There was no time for them to stand in awe.

Cain used his sheer will to suppress his exhaustion. Meylin and the Enlightened One quickly centered themselves, fighting off the initial disorientation to prepare for a potential ambush.

Fortunately, they were granted a moment of peace.

They had landed in a desolate plane with no enemies in sight. Despite this, they remained on high alert. Their spiritual sense and soul force expanded outward, scouring the area until they were certain no threats were lurking nearby.

Only then did they allow a small measure of relaxation. The gap between this realm and the others was glaringly obvious.

The concentration and quality of energy here made the Second and Third Realms look insignificant. Oniric Truths felt more tangible and easier to grasp. Even passive Cultivation in this atmosphere would yield incredible results.

"It is no wonder the experts of the higher realms advance so rapidly," the Enlightened One murmured, his voice thick with wonder.

Meylin nodded in agreement. Although she was technically a native of this realm, most of her life had been spent in the Three Moons' territory. This was her first time truly experiencing the disparity.

Cain, however, did not share their wonder; he frowned.

As his senses fully integrated with this new layer of existence—and as his Chaos energy harmonized with the environment—he detected something far away but unmistakable.

A massive, violent disturbance.

A few heartbeats later, Meylin and the Enlightened One felt the shockwave as well.

A titanic explosion erupted on the distant horizon, scorching the sky with terrifying intensity. Even though the blast occurred more than a continent away, the sheer magnitude of the power involved was undeniable.
