The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2291 Chaos of Worldbreak: Ragnarök (II)

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
Explosions of apocalyptic scale tear through the Second Realm as Cain and the Neo-Angel Urin engage in a brutal war of attrition. Despite suffering horrific injuries, Cain realizes that Urin was specifically engineered by the Ancient One to counter his every known ability. As both combatants reach their physical limits and their regeneration fails, Urin remains confident in her eventual victory. However, Cain shifts the tide by abandoning his exhausted Neo-Demon powers to manifest the overwhelming Power of Chaos.

"RUMBLE!"

Suddenly, the heavens began to tremble—not merely above Cain and Urin, but throughout the entire Second Realm. Great peaks groaned. The oceans surged in turmoil. Even the most distant layers of existence shivered, as if a gargantuan entity had stirred beneath the very fabric of reality.

While the warriors of the Freedom Path and Life Path watched with expressions of pure shock and awe, shimmering threads of gold started to appear across the sky. These strands did not strike like lightning or fall like rain; instead, they unfurled with deliberate grace, weaving into complex patterns that defied all known geometry.

"The World Matrix!"

Urin’s eyes went wide as she gazed at the emergence of the Crimson World Matrix. Her heart pounded violently when she realized that the scarlet plasma wings on Cain’s back were fusing perfectly with those golden threads, serving as channels that tapped directly into the structure of the world.

"Impossible!" the Neo-Angel screamed.

Urin found it impossible to accept. The Neo-Angel failed to comprehend it. Such overwhelming power should not exist—at least, it should not be controlled by a practitioner who had yet to achieve the Alpha-Omega Overgod Rank.

In contrast, Cain simply offered a smile.

He had not forgotten the past.

The memory of the Dark Sky War remained vivid in his mind—that instant when a mysterious entity took over his form, manifesting the Wings of Order and commanding the environment as if reality itself were a submissive servant. That feeling of absolute sovereignty over existence had never truly left him.

Order and Chaos were merely two different facets of a single truth.

While Order could dictate to the universe through pure dominion, Chaos achieved the same through resonance.

Unlike Order, which demanded total submission, Chaos necessitated harmony—a perfect alignment between one's will, soul, and the infinite disorder of the cosmos. It was not a matter of control, but of communion. This was a unity far more profound than anything granted by The Flow.

This concept had first surfaced in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, hovering at the edge of his awareness. Cain had been unable to test it there, as the soul of his Primordial Body was nearing a state of total collapse. However, his Neo-Demon Body suffered from no such limitation.

Power surged through him.

A crushing, suffocating pressure weighed down upon his soul, a force potent enough to turn most beings to dust instantly. Yet, the Scarlet King stood firm.

Due to the advancement of his Divine Kingdom, Cain’s Neo-Demon soul force had long ago outstripped that of his Primordial Body, nearing the boundary of an Alpha-Omega Overgod. The burden was massive and agonizing, but it failed to break his spirit.

He lifted Sky Devourer and spoke three words.

"Chaos of Worldbreaker."

The World Matrix flared brilliantly, as if it were on the verge of imploding. Scarlet and gold intertwined in a chaotic dance, and in a flash, Cain disappeared.

A void of absolute darkness consumed everything.

Not just Urin, but Zarazel, Meylin, and every ArchDeity from both the Freedom Path and Life Path were swallowed whole, along with trillions of other life forms across the nearby continents. All sound vanished. The wind stopped in its tracks. Even time itself appeared to falter, hesitant to move forward.

Then—

A solitary light emerged.

Initially, it was nothing more than a flickering spark suspended in the emptiness, like the final star at the end of time. But it expanded with terrifying speed, shattering the darkness. The firmament tore open in spirals of glowing gold and bottomless black, as if the universe were being dismantled and reconstructed at the same time.

Cain’s voice resonated through the void, steady and commanding.

"Ragnarök."

The light imploded, shrinking into a sphere no larger than a human heart.

Then, it exploded.

A massive crescent of energy burst forth, vibrating with countless cosmic forces all tied to Chaos. It thundered through existence like a final judgment across all eras, carrying the divine authority to extinguish worlds. Urin’s instincts began to scream with unprecedented intensity. Every fiber of her being urged her to flee—to trigger every backup plan, every secret trump card, and every protection woven into her soul. But she was spent. Her Cultivation was drained, and her reflexes had been blunted by the brutal conflict.

She was not fast enough.

The wave of destruction slammed into her.

A moment later, the world reappeared.

The gloom that had devoured nearly a third of the Second Realm pulled back, revealing a sky scarred by the remnants of Chaos. Cultivators from both factions stared into the air in stunned silence, unable to process the spectacle they had just seen.

Cain coughed out a spray of blood as his frame shook violently. His soul seethed with the pain of an incredible burden, suffering damage that would be difficult to mend.

"It seems I went a little too far," he whispered to himself.

The Chaos of Worldbreaker remained a technique that his current body and soul could not safely handle.

Despite the pain, a grin stained with blood touched his lips as he looked toward his opponent.

Urin remained motionless.

Then, her form began to split apart.

Two clean halves drifted away from each other, cut with haunting accuracy. Ragnarök had torn through her completely—severing her body, soul, and mind in one stroke.

Before her very being could dissolve into nothingness, Cain lunged forward, disregarding the pain wracking his system. He grabbed both halves of the Neo-Angel and triggered his fourth Astral Black Hole.

Urin’s soul was already in pieces. She possessed no strength to fight back. The vortex howled as it pulled in her physical form, her spirit, and her True Name all at once. There was no way out.

She was imprisoned for eternity.

"BOOM!"

A wave of power radiated from Cain, distorting the space around him as rivers of life force, strength, and Qi flooded into his body. He took a sharp breath, his eyes shining as he felt his progress accelerate.

However, his look soon turned sharp.

Inside the remains of Urin’s chest, the Neo-Angel Core crumbled into dust.

"Even True Names cannot flee from an Astral Black Hole... yet the Neo-Angel Core was destroyed."

Cain’s expression turned grim.

The Ancient One had foreseen even this outcome. The level of foresight—and the blatant desire to wipe him out—was undeniable.

"It would have been fascinating to see what I could have done with a Neo-Angel Core," Cain remarked softly. "But that was never my primary objective."

His smile returned as the World Matrix showed itself once more.

This time, it was not reacting to his Chaos.

It was acknowledging his breakthrough.

Seven core Oniric Truths that ruled the Crimson World reached out with glowing tendrils, probing deep into Cain’s soul—into his very True Name—confirming the mastery he had just displayed.
