The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System Chapter 508 - Emperor (03)

Previously on The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System...
Qingyi faced a deadly ambush from dozens of elite experts, including six twelfth-ring powerhouses, as the emperor locked the space around them, revealing signs of corruption tied to the Heavenly Demon. Suspecting the emperor's deep involvement with demonic forces, Qingyi escaped a cataclysmic attack that devastated the capital and claimed hundreds of thousands of lives, while the emperor declared him and Sapphire traitors allied with dragon elves and cultists, vowing war on the Vaeldrinn. Fleeing thousands of kilometers, Qingyi consoled Sapphire in the mind world amid her grief over her father's betrayal, learning the Heavenly Demon's might rivals the Corruption Dragon God, and she resolved to support ending the emperor's reign.

The night was shrouded in darkness, and silence enveloped the Blue Tower, broken only by a man's voice and the soft sobs of a child.

"You were never meant to exist. I knew it from the start, and so did your mother. She ought to have ended you before you drew breath." A rough, commanding voice resounded as the man bent close to a young girl.

Short blue hair framed her face, matched by eyes of the identical hue. She looked no older than twelve based on her features.

"But somehow, you're here, alive and drawing air. I showered your mother with wealth, banished her far away, kept my own hands clean of my blood's stain. I genuinely wished you'd vanish from my sight forever."

Hardened resolve laced the man's tone, brimming with unmistakable loathing.

Tears flowed freely down the young girl's cheeks, yet he paid them no mind.

"Still, you've come back. You've displayed your gifts to the Blue Tower and climbed to become a follower of that cursed Ice Mage. That alone I could overlook, but..." The man clenched his jaw, yanking a necklace free from around the girl's neck.

Crafted from gold, it gleamed with tiny blue gems embedded within.

This was the very necklace he'd bestowed upon the girl's mother, in the days when fondness still lingered between them.

A piece reserved solely for the offspring of the Emperor.

However, this young girl had dared to wear it openly.

Didn't that proclaim her a illegitimate child?

Gossip raced through the halls like wildfire.

The Emperor rose to his feet, snapping the necklace apart in his grip.

"Speak, child—didn't your mother explain the weight of this item? Offer me one cause to not claw out your eyes and paint your hair

crimson with your spilled blood." He snarled, unleashing a thread of mana, observing the girl struggle for breath.

With a flick of his wrist, he shaped a sharp edge from the mana.

"Stop this now." Suddenly, another hand shot out, seizing the Emperor's wrist.

The newcomer wore robes of deep blue. Beneath his hood, a flowing beard and sharp, shadowy eyes stood out prominently.

He served as the Master Mage of the Blue Tower, a formidable and fabled powerhouse at the Twelfth Ring.

"Little Sapphire serves as my apprentice these days. She stands beyond your petty family squabbles and your vaunted status as a righteous Emperor of spotless integrity." The Master Mage declared, clamping down firmly on the Emperor's hand.

"You..." The Emperor rumbled, teeth grinding as he spun away.

Starting a clash like that held no value, especially with the Master Mage of the Blue Tower so fond of that wretched outcast.

Sapphire remained rooted in place, hands pressed to her chest while sobs wracked her body, her gaze fixed on her departing father.

Why must everything unfold like this?

Why did her father despise her to such depths? She simply couldn't comprehend...

In quiet attention, Qingyi absorbed the full tale, Sapphire nestled securely in his embrace.

"Your father... he might well be some kind of demonic follower. Were you aware?" Qingyi inquired, his fingers gently running through Sapphire's flowing blue locks.

"No... we've had almost no dealings since then. I can't fathom why he held back from dispatching killers right away. Maybe the blow to his pristine image was already irreversible..." Sapphire answered, her words still tinged with sorrow.

"I... I get it." The youth murmured, shutting his eyes briefly to ponder.

Of course, illegitimate offspring posed a grave issue for imperial bloodlines. This held especially true in a realm where monogamy reigned supreme, and multiple unions struck many as outright taboo.

The reigning Emperor spanned tens of thousands of years in age, his record unmarred throughout.

Not a hint of scandal had ever touched him.

Until Sapphire entered the picture, that is.

Jaw tightening, the striking youth let a flicker of rage cross his features. What right did that vile swine have to deem one of his companions a regrettable error?

Ultimately, Qingyi reined in his fury, steadying his emotions before pressing a tender kiss to Sapphire's brow.

"I'll make this right, I swear..." He drew her closer in his hold, sensing her tension ease as she melted against him. Her breaths steadied into peace, lids fluttering shut.

Exhaustion claimed her in the shelter of her love's arms. He stayed still, simply gazing at her resting form, aware of her ample curves molding to his torso, his palms kneading the flawless, smooth flesh of her

rear.

Dawn had faded into evening by the time Sapphire stirred awake. Her eyes flew open wide as she shifted to face Qingyi.

"Did I drift off...? How much time passed?" she wondered, rising slowly, her chest heaving with the motion.

"Well... the entire day." Qingyi chuckled, standing as well. He drew Sapphire near, delivering a solid smack to her backside, then squeezing the soft, ivory-toned curve.

"Ahhn~~ Husband!" Sapphire yelped, pressing her face into Qingyi's

torso.

"Time to move," he announced, glancing toward the fading light outside the chamber's window. "It's getting late—Celestia will be fretting."

"Yeah... that sweet priestess is always so concerned, heehee~~" Sapphire tittered, arching her back in a stretch before settling, her vibrancy returning bit by bit. Knowing Celestia as she did, Sapphire figured the girl was likely offering prayers to Auranys, beseeching blessings for all within these walls.

It was endearing.

After a short pause in reflection, Sapphire halted.

"Have you caught Auranys' voice before?" She posed the question to Qingyi.

He mulled it over shortly. "In a sense, yes—though she's far from thrilled with me, haha."

At those words, Sapphire lingered in thought, her expression turning contemplative before she let out a breath.

"Celestia shared the prophecy with me, how Auranys' words urged her to remain forever at your side... You're not truly planning

to claim a goddess as your bride, are you?"

"And what if I am?" Qingyi countered her query with one of his own, his broad grin sending a shiver through Sapphire.

Was he for real?

An actual deity?

Did he grasp the extent of Auranys' might? Even Twelfth Ring sorcerers paled before her.

A whirlwind of ideas swirled in the stunning woman's head, yet it all softened into a gentle grin as she walked alongside Long Qingyi from

her quarters.

"Hubby's ambition truly has no limits, does it?" She burst into laughter, hastening her steps.
