The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System Chapter 507 Emperor (02)
Previously on The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System...
Dozens of potent auras surged forth, swiftly encircling Qingyi
while the surrounding space twisted in a chaotic frenzy.
"Space lock..." He muttered with growing frustration.
At minimum, six twelfth-ring powerhouses and over a hundred eleventh-ring experts were present.
The circumstances were turning perilous.
"Husband... please don't clash with Father!" Sapphire cried out via the mental link between Qingyi and Ruxue, making the young man's face darken.
He parted his lips to reply to his wife, yet he stayed quiet soon after, shifting his attention elsewhere.
He was positive that the emperor possessed a Dantian.
But why?
Was there some tie to the demonic cultists?
Had the Heavenly Demon's influence extended so deeply?
In truth, Qingyi harbored no doubts about it.
After all, the Heavenly Demon stood as a supreme entity, even in the Celestial Heaven, where a figure like the emperor amounted to mere vermin.
If he could seize a dying subordinate and communicate with Qingyi, then reaching out to the emperor seemed entirely within his grasp.
Clenching his jaw, Qingyi reached a firm resolve.
The emperor must perish. Eradicating this taint was essential.
But the moment wasn't right.
Qingyi shut his eyes, channeling his spatial Qi intently.
"Attempting to shatter the spatial barrier? Pointless!" The emperor sneered, launching a fierce assault as his mana erupted toward Qingyi.
He eagerly anticipated breaking that youth, extracting every secret about Khaedryss and his link to that cursed dragon.
Regrettably, his strike met only void.
The spatial barrier enclosing them shattered, and a massive quake swallowed the world as the blow crashed with thunderous force.
Across dozens of kilometers, devastation swept through, claiming hundreds of thousands of lives in one fleeting instant.
Yet the emperor remained indifferent, his features cycling through a storm of expressions.
He faced a figure materializing at his side, one among his numerous counselors.
"Proclaim my disloyal daughter, Sapphire, a betrayer, along with the Hero Long Qingyi. Broadcast that he conspired with the dragon elves to slay the other three heroes, wielding the might of demonic cultists!" The emperor commanded with iron resolve.
"Understood," the advisor inclined his head. "Shall we dispatch troops to Valemont?"
"No," the emperor denied, shaking his head. "Every soldier is required here. Before long, we'll deliver doom to those wretched Vaeldrinn!"
"As you wish, Your Majesty."

Qingyi materialized several miles distant, sensing innumerable mighty auras fixate upon him.
With another teleport, he evaded every one of those presences.
"Sapphire..." He reached out mentally as he dashed without pause. "Are you
alright?"
"Yes..." Her response came, laced with evident sobs.
"She's far from fine," Ruxue interjected over her, drawing a heavy sigh from Qingyi.
He had anticipated the bishop as a demonic cultist, figuring perhaps just a handful of top officials had fallen under the Heavenly Demon's sway.
But in reality, such naivety was his mistake.
On the eastern continent, even cultivators at the Astral Body Realm, like the fox people's matriarch, had succumbed.
What reason was there for this land to escape the same fate?
"Ruxue... how did this Heavenly Demon stack up against the Dragon God of Corruption in strength?" he inquired.
"Well... I'd call them roughly equal. Countless lives were lost to topple the Corruption Dragon God, with more than a thousand peerless experts perishing. The same toll would be needed to fell the Heavenly Demon.
He's the mightiest of the seventy-two Heavenly Demon Lords, after all. No one, not even my
creator, could afford to dismiss him lightly."
Qingyi absorbed her words with a quiet nod, a sharp pang twisting in his chest.
The Heavenly Demon had not only wounded his Sapphire but also dragged
Ruyan into it...
That fool was truly begging for annihilation, wasn't he?
Dismissing the thought with a head shake, Qingyi pressed on with his flight.
He'd reach Valemont, confirm all was secure, and then head to the Enlightened Sky Empire.
Once he conferred with Meilin's father and settled the fox people's crisis, he'd purge every lingering trace of the Heavenly Demon from this realm.
Sealing his eyes and steadying his breath, Qingyi ceased his teleports at last.
He'd expended roughly ten percent of his Qi and now lay thousands of kilometers from the capital.
Perched on a tree limb, he delved into the mental realm, hurrying to Sapphire's chamber.
The stunning woman was confined within, as Aeryn and Celestia strove to connect with her.
"Husband... what occurred?" Celestia questioned, her gaze brimming with worry as she flung herself into Qingyi's arms.
"Not much... merely a tense run-in with her father."
At those words, Celestia's bewilderment shifted to fury.
"Ugh... that jerk! He's forever been a total nuisance! Hubby's gonna thrash him, isn't he? Big sister Isabel and big sister Ruyan say that
hubby always pounds jerks into the ground."
Qingyi hesitated briefly before erupting into laughter.
"Indeed, I am." He pressed a kiss to Celestia's lips, then rapped on Sapphire's
door and stepped inside without delay.
The beauty huddled solo in a nook, tears streaming as she clutched her knees.
Why must fate unfold so cruelly?
She sensed Qingyi's gentle warmth envelop her, drawing her onto his lap.
"I... I'm sorry for dragging you into peril... there wasn't even anything
crucial to retrieve there..." Sapphire murmured, nuzzling against Qingyi's chest.
"True... but what peril exactly? Your father and his forces hold no terror for me. Actually, this clash proved beneficial," Qingyi grinned, caressing Sapphire's flowing blue locks.
It felt odd witnessing her in such vulnerability.
Normally, she exuded bold confidence and teasing allure, often urging
Aeryn toward his manhood with lighthearted quips. "Ah..." Qingyi exhaled, recollections of his earthly bond with his father surfacing.
A diligent soul, yet distant and aloof. They'd clashed often, even trading blows.
At his core, he grasped Sapphire's turmoil intimately.
"Would you have me end him?" Qingyi posed, locking eyes with
Sapphire's.
He was already convinced the emperor's death was inevitable, but he'd act only with her consent.
She quelled her sobs, gnawed her lower lip, and then steeled her features
with resolve.
"Yes..."
