SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God Chapter 652: The Golden Throne stirs
Damon looked at the guy and then took a deep breath. Nope. He had bigger fish to fry. He needed to figure out his soul-strengthening problem somehow. Whatever schemes this guy was brewing, they could wait.
He ignored the obnoxious noble and was about to walk right past him when an unexpected notification flashed in front of him.
[Ding! System Announcement Global Event Triggered]
The Golden Throne stirs. Its seal loosens. Its gaze falls upon this era.
In 72 hours, the Golden Throne Event shall begin.
Only those who have carved their names into the world may enter.
Only those whose deeds echo across the lands may advance.
Only those whose will can suppress armies and bend fate may endure.
Your starting position, challenges faced, and potential rewards will be determined directly by your accumulated achievements, titles, conquests, and influence.
The path ahead is not for the weak.
A King is not chosen.
A King is proven.
Only a rightful King may lay claim to the Golden Throne.
Only a rightful King may reshape the world.
Prepare yourself.
Three days remain before the era of Kings begins.

Damon froze. He stared at the notifications dumbfoundedly. The golden throne? That’s right. He had received a token about this in the beginning of the game. He had almost completely forgotten about this and now suddenly an event had popped up.
And from the looks of it, it was not an ordinary event. The announcement was etched in golden letters, each of them shimmering with a mysterious glow.
This was definitely a top-tier event with potentially game-changing rewards. Damon could feel it.
Still standing near him, Alaric Valeross continued his monologue, talking about this and that. However, Damon was focused on the details of the event. Though much wasn’t mentioned, there were little clues still hidden inside it.
"Your starting position, challenges faced, and potential rewards will be determined directly by your accumulated achievements, titles, conquests, and influence."
This was the most important part.
Damon did not know if it was a coincidence or not because in his last life this event was definitely not anything related to conquest or influence. No one was competing for lands or titles at this point.
But in this life, the event was definitely different. Right now with war raging everywhere, perhaps the event was influenced in a different way and the requirements and the event itself might have changed.
Damon’s brows slowly knitted together as he reread the announcement. He had more achievements than entire guilds. More titles than most players could dream of. He held a Dark Faction rank that even top guilds would kill for. He had humiliated super guilds on global broadcasts. He had altered a siege event. He had defeated NPCs no one else could. He had wiped out a literal army alone.
However, as far as conquest and influence went, perhaps he could do more. He still had three days left before the event and plenty of chaos all around him. There was a good chance that this event was very important. His gut feeling told him that it was best to make certain preparations.
Also, increasing the influence could never hurt. At this point, he definitely needed more influence in the game. Also more manpower. He needed to scour the lands and find all of the hidden secrets he could get his hands on.
This was probably his only hope to find some sort of soul technique compatible to him. At least he might be able to find some soul defense techniques.
Some events could even award tailor-made items and techniques. Who knew maybe he could even acquire a soul technique through the golden event!
Making up his mind, Damon decided to spend the next three days preparing for the Golden Throne event.
Alaric finally noticed Damon’s silence and scoffed. "Hmph. it looks like even a barbaric dog like you understands where you truly stand. I don’t blame you. Only great houses like mine will—"
Damon walked past him without a glance.
Alaric’s face twisted into a grimace as he stormed away in the other direction. "I will see to it that you stop exist soon enough." He muttered as he left.
Damon, meanwhile, was busy plotting and scheming. Going to war was completely different from a simple dungeon run or boss raid. It needed more intricate planning and execution. It was a very detail-oriented effort that required a lot of small maneuvers.
The problem right now was time. He had very less of it.
Damon went back to his private quarters and sat down on his bed. Soon a big grin appeared on his face. He knew exactly what to do. If everything goes right, then he could probably hit many goals with just a single shot.
For that, he needed some more manpower.
Kate had mentioned that Mark was busy with some race specific quest. He hadn’t asked for any help until now but Damon wanted to give him the time and freedom to pursue his own path and become stronger.
So he decided to temporarily pick up the matter of guild creation into his own hands. Well, the guild was already technically created. Only the matter of launching it was left.
And now seemed as good a time as any for doing it a grand eye-catching fashion.
Damon opened up the system interface, tweaked a few things and then after taking one quick look, he let it all explode. "And now the show starts."
Almost immediately, Kate and Aurora barged inside the room.
"Damon, what did you do?" Kate’s eyes were wide in shock.
Previously, she and Mark had a very different strategy planned. Heck, even the basic structure they had for the guild was different. But now, Damon had simply slashed all of it in a single move.
There were no restrictions or regulations anymore. Basically, anyone and anything can enter the guild and become a member. There was absolutely no structure, no rule or regulation. He had even opened up the treasury. It was basically a free for all!
