Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon Chapter 1148 - 1145: Over Twenty Gods?

A profound silence gripped the world and the universe itself as every eye watched Corey plummet from the heavens. Above him, the Heavenly Executor remained trapped, encased within a glassy armor that was slowly devouring it.
Thick, abyssal Tribulation Clouds still choked the atmosphere of New Earth, signaling that the trial had not officially concluded. Despite this, a collective intuition swept through the onlookers: the Tribulation was finished.
The feeling was unmistakable—Corey had emerged victorious.
Those ignorant of the true weight of this achievement were simply paralyzed by the spectacle, stunned by a battle and destruction that had caused the very foundations of the planet to tremble.
However, those who understood the gravity of Corey’s deeds stood frozen to the spot. It felt like a fever dream; what they had witnessed should have been an impossibility.
How could a mere mortal strike down the Will of Heaven made flesh?
How could a mortal defeat a being capable of slaughtering True Gods?
Such a feat defied all logic.
It was something that simply should not happen.
The clash between Corey and the Heavenly Executor had captivated more than just the eleven gods who had sent their incarnations to New Earth. It had drawn the gaze of countless other deities across the cosmos.
Even True Gods had begun searching for the coordinates of New Earth, and those who succeeded watched the struggle against the Heavenly Executor with bated breath.
The manifestation of a Heavenly Executor was a momentous event that demanded the attention of every God in existence. Such an entity only descended when a person or object posed an existential threat to the universe.
Most of these divine beings expected to find the Executor in the universe's core regions. Their shock was absolute when they discovered Heaven’s Will had descended upon a world that was only just ascending.
What could an ascending world possibly do to provoke the wrath of Heaven’s Will?
What was the catalyst?
What was truly happening on that planet?
While many gods focused their attention on New Earth, some attempted to breach its borders with their spirits or physical forms, only to be met with a fierce deterrent from the Universal System.
Only then did they realize that New Earth was a Blessed World. Such worlds enjoyed a level of protection from the Universal System that far surpassed any other.
Many gods began negotiations with the Universal System, seeking a way to gain entry.
The price demanded for such access made even the most powerful deities grimace, yet they deemed it a necessary cost to uncover why a Heavenly Executor had targeted a lowly ascending world.
The gods believed their astonishment had reached its limit.
Yet, when they realized a mortal was the sole reason for the Heavenly Executor’s descent, their bewilderment reached new heights.
With this single act, Corey had seized the focus of almost every powerhouse in the universe.
Every one of them watched as the unconscious Corey fell through the air.
They were desperate to intervene. They burned with the desire to seize not only Corey, but Primus and Prima as well.
But they were held back by a single fact: the Tribulation was still active.
Though the Heavenly Executor was imprisoned and being consumed by Primus and Prima, it had not been erased. Therefore, the Tribulation persisted.
Should any god step within the Tribulation's range, they would trigger a secondary Tribulation—one that would be just as, if not more, horrific than the Heavenly Executor itself.
Left with no other choice, they could only watch in a state of restless anxiety and anticipation.
Just as Corey was about to slam into the earth, a figure darted forward and caught him.
Cracks spread like a spiderweb across the ground as the woman redirected the momentum of Corey’s fall through her body and into the earth using runic power.
"You really are a mad and infuriating man, Corey." Pamela sighed, shaking her head as she gazed at his senseless face.
She pressed her hand against Corey’s chest, her brow furrowing deeper after a few moments.
"You better not die. You’re the only person who can help me shatter the limits of this universe, damn it."
Six runic circles of golden-white light manifested around her arm as Pamela began the process of healing him.
"You’d better stay alive," Pamela muttered with fierce determination. Suddenly, the heavens let out a low rumble.
Pamela glanced upward, noticing that the thick Tribulation Clouds were finally starting to dissipate.
She turned her gaze toward Primus and Prima, seeing golden arcs of electricity dancing across their forms.
"Is it finally over?"
Moments after her whisper, the clouds vanished entirely, leaving the sky clear once more.
"It’s finished at last." Pamela exhaled in relief as the crushing pressure that had smothered the world finally lifted.
Even though she had remained within the Forge, she had been keenly aware of the chaos outside.
Initially, she had been consumed by the task Corey had assigned her, but the sheer violence of Corey’s Tribulation had broken her concentration.
Fortunately for both of them, the interruption had not occurred during a critical moment of her research into the secrets Corey had shared.
Despite the Temple being shattered and nearly leveled, the Forge remained intact. The tremors she felt from the dual Tribulations were only a fraction of their true power.
She found herself wondering how Corey had managed to construct such a resilient structure.
Looking down at him, she shook her head again. "What a lunatic."
She prepared to stand and carry Corey back into the safety of the Forge for further treatment, but she suddenly froze, her face turning grave.
Twenty powerful auras abruptly manifested within the Divine Kingdom. Looking up, she saw twenty figures encircling Primus and Prima.
The weight of their consciousnesses—and the presence of six more observing from afar—made her blood run cold. The sheer power behind these gazes caused her skin to pale.
"Over twenty Gods?"
