"More than twenty Gods?"
The moment Pamela sensed the presence of twenty-six divine beings, her expression shifted to one of pure bewilderment and shock.
Corey was a Demi-Paragon possessing a singular soul and the soul origins of his universe's fallen deities, but Pamela was different; she was a human who had simply reached the peak of universal evolution.
While her physique and soul were exceptional, the gap between her and Corey was as immense as the distance between the heavens and the earth.
Under the collective consciousness and heavy gazes of twenty-six gods—seven of whom were True Gods—she began to buckle.
Pamela felt nothing but agonizing discomfort and terror, spared from worse only because the True Gods and their peers harbored no immediate malice toward Corey and felt a flicker of curiosity regarding her.
She tilted her head slightly, cautiously observing these new deities, particularly the True Gods.
She noticed that several of these arrivals occupied vessels devoid of life.
Their forms appeared to be crafted from metal or even clay.
Others possessed no physical shape at all.
They seemed to be manifestations of fire, darkness, or light, lacking any solid form.
Some, however, inhabited the bodies of New Earthlings. She realized these gods were possessing New Earthlings in a manner identical to the initial twelve gods who occupied their Incarnations.
Just as this realization struck her, Pamela glanced to her left. Her pupils narrowed to pinholes when she discovered a faceless man standing directly before her.
This figure lacked ears, a nose, a mouth, and eyes. A single red gemstone was embedded in his forehead, and his entirely white body appeared to be made of a material resembling clay.
"Is he the source of all this commotion? Fascinating. My sight cannot penetrate his form. What mysteries does this mortal conceal?"
As the god spoke, Pamela coughed up a spray of blood.
Because this was a True God speaking with his authentic voice, the mere sound inflicted agonizing pain upon her.
"I must examine you."
"Arrggh!"
Screaming in agony, Pamela dropped Corey and clutched her bleeding ears while blood streamed from her crimson-streaked eyes.
Under normal circumstances, the speech of a True God would be incomprehensible to her, but her status as a Rune Sage meant her runes translated the words automatically, intensifying her suffering.
The True God ignored Pamela entirely, his focus locked solely on Corey.
He reached out to touch him, but he suddenly recoiled and leaped back as a razor-thin cord tipped with a sharp spearhead slammed into the earth where he had just been standing.
The ground fractured and the world shuddered as Prima and Primus stood protectively before Corey, both weapons vibrating with murderous intent.
Across her smoky glass form, golden lightning crackled as Prima’s child-like female voice resonated throughout the world.
Held in Prima's grasp, Primus shook violently as his own child-like male voice echoed.
Taking the form of the Heavenly Executor’s weapon, Primus unleashed lethal, thick arcs of golden lightning that charred the ground wherever the tip made contact.
Prima gripped Primus with both hands and hoisted him toward the heavens. Her eyes were fixed on the True God who had dared to approach Corey, her killing intent surging to new heights.
The True God’s expression turned grim as he continued to back away from the duo.
His survival instincts were screaming that the impending strike from this talking armor and weapon would be fatal.
He did not question that instinct.
The aura radiating from Primus in his Heavenly Executor form terrified him; he knew that a strike from that weapon would inflict wounds on his true body that he was not prepared to endure.
This was especially true considering the vast resources he had already sacrificed to reach New Earth.
Prima and Primus bellowed in unison. Though they sounded like four-year-old children, the sheer majesty and power in their voices were terrifying.
As Prima brought Primus down in a powerful swing, a single bolt of golden lightning shot forth. This lone bolt contained enough force to cleave the earth of the Divine Kingdom in two.
It tore through the barrier the Universal System had erected around the God of Living Constructs' Divine Kingdom.
The Black Sea met the same fate.
A jagged, thin line appeared across the Black Sea, which remained split into two distinct sections for a moment before the waters rushed back to fill the void.
As for the True God?
He chose to abandon the avatar he had so carefully built, despite the benefits and the high cost, quickly pulling his Spirit and Will back to his primary body.
While losing such a painstakingly crafted vessel pained him, he had to leave it behind to avoid even greater agony and loss.
The strike unleashed by Prima and Primus was an attack his avatar—which only held the power of a Lesser God—could never survive; only his true body could hope to withstand it.
Silence returned to the world, and Pamela gazed at Primus and Prima with a look of utter bewilderment.
She wanted to speak and process the event, but she found herself unable to move or think.
It wasn't until the heavens began to weep blood that she looked up and froze in place.
