Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon Chapter 1147 - 1144: Devouring Heaven’s Will
Previously on Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon...
Once Corey received the enhancement from Prima consuming the Heavenly Executor’s lightning strikes, he utilized teleportation to escape an incoming blow, reappearing within the Divine Kingdom of the God of Living Constructs.
His decision to relocate the battlefield to the Divine Kingdom was not driven by self-preservation, but rather by his concern for New Earth and its inhabitants.
Through their previous clashes, Corey realized that the unchecked combat between himself and the Heavenly Executor would unleash catastrophic ruin and mass casualties across the globe.
The destructive shockwaves generated by their power would reach far beyond the borders of the Black Sea, potentially claiming billions of lives.
No soul would be spared from the fallout.
The last thing Corey desired was to become the architect of such a massive slaughter on New Earth.
While he might have ignored the collateral damage if those he loved remained safe, he felt it was inherently wrong to be the catalyst for so much grief and physical agony for countless strangers.
Consequently, he chose to shift the confrontation to a realm far more durable than New Earth.
The Divine Kingdom of the God of Living Constructs became their new arena.
The very fabric of space within this Divine Kingdom was significantly more resilient than that of New Earth; had the Divine Kingdom still been "alive," its durability would have been even more formidable.
Within their own Divine Kingdoms, Gods can engage in full-scale warfare without the risk of shattering the universe, and Corey hoped to exploit this fact to minimize the impending death toll.
His plan worked... though only to a certain extent.
Corey never actually expected to trap the Heavenly Executor within the Divine Kingdom indefinitely, nor was that his primary goal.
Nevertheless, his tactical maneuver spared many lives, even considering the hundreds of thousands who had already perished since the moment he forged Primus.
And now?
As the golden lightning bolt of the Heavenly Executor collided with the orb of golden lightning in the heavens, the entire planet trembled, triggering massive earthquakes in every corner of the world.
The resulting devastation and loss of life were beyond calculation, and as New Earth buckled under the weight of their combined techniques, many people fled in a desperate bid for survival.
Corey was naturally unaware of the chaos below. The sheer force of the shockwave nearly sent both him and the Heavenly Executor flying, yet both combatants managed to maintain their footing.
Corey watched intently as the joint attack launched by himself, Primus, and Prima struggled to overcome the golden lightning bolt.
This strike had drained roughly 95% of the golden energy Prima had scavenged for temporary buffs, leaving Corey to question if it would be sufficient.
Prima, Primus, and Corey himself had all siphoned immense amounts of energy from the Heavenly Executor, culminating in the most lethal and powerful technique he had ever performed.
Watching from afar, the gods and all other spectators held their breath, wondering who would emerge victorious.
However, after six seconds of the two forces grinding against each other, Corey and several of the observing gods realized which side would prevail.
"I guess it wasn’t enough."
A bitter smile touched Corey's lips as he met the gaze of the Heavenly Executor.
Closing his eyes, Corey let out a long, weary sigh.
Two seconds later, the golden lightning bolt tore through the golden orb, slicing through the very fabric of space and time as it locked onto Corey.
Trailing streaks of golden electricity followed in its path, leading everyone to believe the battle had reached its end.
Those with sufficient Cultivation and insight knew that Corey had expended all the stolen energy from the Heavenly Executor. Such an output would not only leave him exhausted but also in a state of extreme vulnerability.
He was no longer capable of the movement or combat prowess he had displayed earlier.
This assessment was accurate. Corey was spent.
Yet, Corey remained eerily composed as he faced the descending lightning bolt.
His blood-red eyes suddenly flared with a golden light, and three golden triangles manifested within his pupils.
His Eyes of Omniscience shifted into their Tri-Pupil form, and the three golden triangles began to spin.
Just as the spear of golden lightning was set to impale Corey’s heart, he vanished into thin air.
In his place sat a stone no larger than a human head.
The Heavenly Executor stared at the rock with a bewildered "expression," finding the object strangely familiar.
It then realized... this was a mere fragment of the large boulder it had demolished moments before.
"Hey there."
Corey’s voice reached its senses, but before the entity could react, it found itself locked in a tight embrace by Corey.
"Going somewhere?"
Corey drove Primus—now transformed into a short sword—directly into the Heavenly Executor’s solar plexus.
The blade was long enough to pass through the Heavenly Executor’s form, yet Primus ensured it stopped just short of touching Corey’s own skin.
Immediately, Primus began to consume the Heavenly Executor.
Violent bursts of golden lightning erupted, mirroring the murderous rage of the Heavenly Executor.
Corey, however, was indifferent to the display.
He maintained his iron grip on the Heavenly Executor, pinning it in place. Then, Prima made her move.
She flowed out of Corey’s pores and coated the Heavenly Executor’s frame, giving the entity an appearance strikingly similar to Corey’s own.
Sensing the danger, the Heavenly Executor tried to initiate a self-destruction sequence, but Primus thwarted the attempt.
The sword devoured a massive amount of energy in an instant, funneling it directly into Prima.
Moments later, Prima had completely enveloped the Heavenly Executor. With Primus protruding from her chest, she looked like a suit of smoky glass armor pierced by a crystalline blade.
High above, the Tribulation Clouds swirled in a frenzy, yet they were unable to discharge any further lightning, as the Heavenly Executor had already claimed all their power.
The Heavenly Executor struggled to break free and destroy its captors, but it could not overcome the combined will of Prima and Primus. They were fueled by Corey’s determination and a deep-seated need to protect their creator, their master, and their father.
They feasted relentlessly upon the Heavenly Executor.
No.
They devoured the very Will of Heaven given flesh.
Exhausted, Corey’s consciousness finally flickered out, and he plummeted from the sky with his eyes closed.
