Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2034: Can’t be used

Upon stepping into the research lab the following morning, exhaustion marked every face scattered across the room.
Yet despite their weary appearances, the thrill pulsing through them was impossible to conceal.
Without that spark of eagerness, they never would have dashed about with such fervor.
Clearly, the researchers had pulled an all-nighter poring over the samples I'd presented to them. Now, they were fueled solely by the rush of their own anticipation.
Their frantic movements carried an intensity that bordered on intimidating.
Even so, I approached Puffer and inquired, "How is it? Did you find anything interesting about these samples?"
She whipped around to face me at once and dragged me toward her workstation.
This device was a custom magical tool crafted from the collective expertise amassed in the lab. Primarily, it drew on the tech from the old Democratic Union to build this enchanted apparatus.
It resembled the advanced analysis equipment from my previous life.
Undoubtedly, it appeared far more sophisticated than manual examination of the samples.
That said, the display currently showed empty results.
These blank outputs indicated they truly couldn't decipher anything from the samples I'd given them.
Or more precisely, their tools lacked the power to uncover the nature of these materials.
Based on what they'd told me earlier, the device worked by blasting the inserted object with waves of mana. Those waves would provoke a reaction from the item, yielding valuable insights.
No matter if the response was known or novel, some form of data always emerged.
A null result, however, signaled that the mana waves had been outright blocked by the samples inside.
I hadn't expected these items to possess such resilience against the mana pulses.
But upon reflection, these were products of divine energy from the start.
Since divine energy operated on a wholly superior plane to mana, it made perfect sense that mana waves couldn't breach creations born from it.
Still, this left us clueless about the composition of these samples.
"You created them, so you should be able to shape them, right?" Puffer finally declared.
I arched an eyebrow at her words, though I agreed it probably held true.
Erasing them would oppose the essence of creation and our goals, but reshaping them still aligned with forming something new—without outright dissolving them.
I was merely altering the form of my own handiwork.
That said, I had no clue what Puffer intended for me to do with them.
"Make them as thin as you can."
Her suggestion caught me off guard, as it struck me as the most basic approach imaginable. Yet the earnest expression on her face showed she meant every word.
With a slight curl of my mouth, I followed her request.
I selected the wood sample that seemed simplest among them and molded it into an incredibly slender sliver. It looked fragile enough to shatter at the slightest touch, but I knew better—that wouldn't occur.
No amount of force applied by anyone could crack that delicate strip.
Such was the unbreakable nature of this substance.
Of course, even at its thinnest, the mana waves failed to pass through the wood.
Not only the wood behaved this way; every other sample reacted identically.
In the end, Puffer let out a heavy sigh and admitted, "There's just no use for it. Other than being strong, it doesn’t seem like there are any other attributes to it."
The rest of the researchers nodded along in full accord.
I realized they'd reached this verdict only after exhaustive experiments.
After all, discovering the machine's limitations wouldn't stop them—they'd conducted countless additional trials on the samples before deeming them useless.
Evidence of those efforts littered the entire lab.
If they declared this material impractical, then my creation ability seemed limited to crafting complex items, like the blood vaccine sample, rather than simple ones.
"Who said that there’s no use to it? You just don’t know how to use it properly."
Puffer's eyes narrowed sharply as she pivoted toward the source of the voice.
I turned with her and spotted Max standing nearby.
His presence surprised me initially, but it quickly made sense—he was an expert in corruption energy and divine energy studies, after all.
