Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 1934: Her power

Previously on Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure...
As corruption energy leaks from a mark on Dorothy’s neck, it manifests into physical copies of her allies and enemies drawn directly from her memories. Although these clones attempt to mimic their originals' powers, they are easily dispatched by divine energy as the group pushes forward to neutralize the source. Following Max’s advice to overwhelm the corruption, an injection of massive divine energy into the device on Dorothy's neck causes her to collapse in agony. Amidst the chaos of her sudden unconsciousness, a mysterious voice emerges to taunt the group for inadvertently harming the very person they were trying to save.

Hearing that voice again was the last thing I anticipated.

In fact, none of us had expected to encounter that voice ever again.

Yet, the moment Dorothy collapsed, that unmistakable voice echoed through the air.

Following Dorothy’s fall, the dark mark on her neck ceased its previous violent rampage. Instead, a small amount of corruption energy leaked out, coalescing into a diminutive figure.

This tiny entity possessed a humanoid shape, though it differed significantly from any previous manifestation of corruption energy we had witnessed.

The figure was entirely enveloped in a shroud of dark energy, which completely obscured every physical detail from our sight.

Even so, the voice alone was sufficient to reveal the true identity behind this shadowy form.

"What have you done to her?" I demanded, my voice laced with fury.

"Ha, ha, ha, are you joking? You are the ones who put her in this state, yet you blame us? Your ignorance is truly amusing," War replied, his tone dripping with mockery.

I merely glared at him, remaining silent.

With my eyes, I attempted to exert pressure on War, demanding an explanation for what had transpired. However, he appeared entirely unfazed by my hostile stare.

Nevertheless, he spoke up, "I shall explain, if only because it serves our interests for you to stop interfering with her."

I wasn't the only one directed a piercing look at War upon hearing those words.

Rose glared at him as if she were on the verge of punching his face in for his arrogance.

Knowing her personality, I suspected she would have actually struck him if we didn't desperately need an explanation for the current situation.

After a brief silence, War continued, "We did not create this. This is something that originated from deep within her soul. It is a manifestation of her own power; we simply pulled it to the surface."

"Stop lying! She told us herself that you did something to the back of her neck. There is no doubt that you are responsible for that black dot," Rose interrupted, cutting War off before he could finish.

War turned his gaze calmly toward Rose and replied, "You mean when I tapped her neck? That was merely to trigger her power and concentrate it in a single point so she wouldn't lose control of it."

Turning away, War paced over to where Dorothy lay.

He leaned over her neck and reached out to touch the black mark.

The moment the figure of corruption energy made contact, the dark dot seemed to react.

It didn't discharge any additional corruption energy, but it shifted in sync with the movement of War's hand. It drifted slightly until War finally pulled back, at which point it settled back into its original position.

"See?"

"What exactly was that supposed to prove?" I asked, my glare intensifying.

War didn't bother responding directly to my question. Instead, he warned, "If you persist in trying to remove that mark, she is the only one who will suffer the consequences."

Judging by the way he was rushing the conversation, it was clear War had no desire to linger.

But even if we wanted to intervene, there was nothing we could currently do to assist Dorothy...

Ultimately, the only thing I could ask was, "When do you intend to come for her?"

War looked at me with a flash of surprise, but then he broke into another fit of laughter. "This is a first, ha, ha, ha! You certainly are a bold one. I've never had anyone ask me something like that before."

Once his laughter subsided, his voice turned deadly serious. "This is not something you can prevent, so asking such questions is pointless. Just wash your necks and wait for our arrival."

Without waiting for us to reply, the figure of corruption energy dissolved and vanished without a trace.

Since he refused to say anything more, we were left without any recourse.

However, he had proven that the mark wasn't something they had simply placed upon Dorothy.

Specifically, it wasn't a tracking device. It was a manifestation of her own latent power that they had forcibly drawn out.

I could tell this was the truth because no external energy was summoned when War manipulated the dot. There seemed to be only a mental link, while the actual corruption energy originated from Dorothy herself.

That meant all this corruption energy was being drawn from her own source...

There was no telling the limit of the corruption energy she could tap into, but that must be the connection Max had mentioned earlier...

When everything finally settled, a heavy silence filled the air.

No one spoke; we were all still trying to process the weight of what had occurred.

In the midst of this silence, Dorothy regained consciousness and asked, "What happened?"

We looked at her, but the words failed us.

After all, there was nothing we could do for her now that we realized the black dot was a manifestation of her own power. If we continued to try and eradicate it, we would only be causing her physical harm.

Perhaps a sealing method existed, but that likely wasn't a viable solution either.

In the end, we were left completely at a loss, unsure of how to handle Dorothy's situation moving forward...
