Reborn as an Extra Chapter 622: The Airhead Twins, Lyria And Miria. Part-2.

"I am not a fairy. I am a human actually..."
As she spoke those lines, Lia took off her silver helmet, allowing her golden locks, shrouded in a silver glow, to flutter in the breeze.
Her stunning features, her intense presence, and her captivating grin made it seem like she truly was a fairy!
"But you are a royal fairy, though... Humans are bad people; they won’t save us from the Demons..."
The pair of tiny fairies cocked their heads in bewilderment, as though they failed to grasp why Lia would tease them in such a manner.
The fairy with sky-blue tresses tilted her head and chimed in.
"Lyria has seen humans before... they are all very scary and have very scary smiles... you are not the same..."
"You have the same kind smile as the Royal Fairies!"
Miria, sporting greenish-white hair, agreed with her sibling's statement and added her own thoughts.
"You saved me from that demon; just when it was about to kill me with its big hammer, you blew it away!"
"You are so strong and elegant! You are definitely a Royal Fairy!"
Faced with the two tiny fairies' refusal to accept her explanation, Lia simply shook her head in resignation.
’By the way... I can’t seem to sense their presence at all... these two aren’t even strong. How are they doing this?’
’By the way, you managed to do it before, and you even asked me to save them. How did you sense them?’
[Elemental Fairies are creatures that have the greatest affinity with the very nature of this world and their affinity with all kinds of elements is even stronger than dragons in many cases...]
[Mana detection, spiritual sense, etc... all these things will simply register these fairies as ’Normal’ bunch of elementals or just a small lump of mana at most...]
Mana sense operates by picking up on the mana ripples in the surroundings.
However, fairies are inherently tied to nature and the ’laws’ of the world, so their mana ripples tend to be either faint or utterly undetectable.
This holds true for spiritual sense or any other sensing method; they just can't pick up on fairies' existence.
Fairies don't employ stealth on purpose; nature has simply granted them this innate disguise to ward off hostile beings.
[To detect the presence of a fairy, you would need to either have the ability to sense spatial fluctuations to the very minute levels or you would need to have a powerful intuition like that of S-rankers and above-level individuals...]
[For me though, it’s much easier, as I am also a divine spirit and very close to nature so it’s easier for me to detect them through the feedback of the ’laws’ of the ’world’...]
Upon hearing that explanation, Lia shot a surprised glance at the plump cat perched on her shoulder.
’You are actually more useful than I expected... Only in times like these do I remember that you are actually a strong spirit; otherwise, I always end up thinking of you as a lazy fat cat...’
[I am not fat... my body shape and manifestation depend on what pleases the host more...]
[I look like a fat cat because you subconsciously keep thinking that being a fat lazy cat suits me more...]
’Eh... but I really think that lazing around like a cat suits you quite a lot though... don’t you like it?’
Catching the glare in Kai’s eyes, Lia chose to drop the subject right there.
"I am Lia Silver. I was wandering and got lost. Can you tell me more about this land?"
Since the two fairies had shared their names already, Lia reciprocated by giving hers and inquiring further about the dungeon.
"I did hear that the Royal Fairies have the habit of wandering around and getting lost often, but to think they even get lost with how strong they are?-"
Right as Miria whispered that under her breath, her sister Lyria tapped her forehead with a finger to silence her.
"Idiot, talk quietly... she will hear you!"
"I heard that those who disrespect Royal Fairies get their favorite food snatched away from them!"
After shooting her sister a stern look, Lyria, the sharper of the two, flashed a smile at Lia and said.
"This place is not safe; demons and humans come here often. Let’s go to a safe place first..."
Even though the two little fairies attempted to whisper softly, Lia, being a formidable A-ranker, caught every word of their exchange without effort.
[Hahaha, you are never gonna beat those ’Royal Fairy’ allegations now!! BAHAHAHA!!!!]
Kai erupted into foolish laughter, leaving Lia to shake her head once more in exasperation.
Wearing an embarrassed expression, she responded.
"Yeah... let’s get to some safer place first... By the way, this cat here is Kai and this little fellow is RJ..."
The small golem, which had been eyeing the two fairies curiously, raised its tiny hand in a greeting wave.
The little fairies returned the hello to the diminutive creature, and soon the quintet set off together.
The duo of fairies led the way by flying ahead, with Lia trailing close behind.
"You say that this place is dangerous, but then why did you two come here then?"
"Wouldn’t it have been better to stay in a safer place instead?"
In response to Lia’s query, Lyria shot a glare at Miria and answered with irritation,
"It’s all because of this idiot little sister of mine! I told her not to follow those other idiots to go out and pick fights with a demon!"
"Those other idiots convinced her to follow along in their so-called quest of defeating a demon!"
"Alas... they all ended up getting crushed to death by that demon. If I hadn’t arrived on time, she would have been dead long ago..."
Listening to her sister’s furious outburst, Miria’s pointed ears drooped as she mumbled in a dejected tone,
"I just wanted to pay back those bad demons and humans for all the things they have done to us..."
