Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill Chapter 632 The Dragon

The leader of the survivor camp eyed Vritra's group with suspicion, assigning them to the vanguard in the impending battle against the Bull Eater faction, viewing them as expendable shields. As night fell, Vritra and his companions set up tents and rested uneasily, relying on Divine to stand watch amid the untrustworthy surroundings. The next morning, a rude messenger summoned Vritra to meet the boss, Bull, who propositioned him before outlining the attack plans; he refused her offer and reported fabricated abilities to the skeptical enforcer Tat, deftly dodging an aggressive lunge from the man. Back with his wives and allies, Vritra urged them to eat and prepare, the air thick with looming danger.

Vritra along with his companions trailed behind Bull's team while navigating the sewer tunnel. Surprisingly, it held no filth or foul smell.

In no time, a ladder came into view ahead. Bull took the initiative and scaled it first.

Sure enough, snow blanketed the top, yet she thrust her hand upward, unleashing a surge of fire.

The ice thawed rapidly, shoving the cover aside as she emerged outside.

Before long, the entire assembly of 82 individuals had surfaced. Vritra's crew came up right behind, stunned by the scene around them.

Over half the structures lay in ruins, and the earth looked like it had been excavated.

Far off, traces of yesterday's explosion from their actions lingered in sight.

"Seems a formidable mutant rampaged through this area." Bull remarked. This worked in their favor, as the enemies wouldn't anticipate an assault now.

"Move out fast, we need to strike them unexpectedly!" she bellowed, then locked eyes on Vritra.

"Adam, you'll spearhead the advance shortly." She continued.

The team promptly set off. Naturally, a large force like theirs would draw nearby mutants, though they only had to watch for the tougher variants.

Merely moments passed before a handful of mutants charged toward them.

Vritra drew his machete, darting ahead with incredible swiftness to sever their heads.

'Oh! He's clearly aiming to catch my eye. A clever fellow—he'd make a fine ally if he proves faithful.'

Bull observed this and resolved that, should he endure, she'd ensure he stayed by her side.

Meanwhile, Vritra merely racked up additional points, harboring a hidden intent behind his actions.

Further along the path, he dispatched more than twenty mutants.

Bull found herself thoroughly impressed, certain he was performing solely to win her favor.

Prior to the apocalypse, a striking, towering man like him would have ignored her completely. She relished drawing his interest now.

"Well done, Adam. We're nearly there." She commented, gesturing toward a school encircled by a towering barrier.

The barrier had evidently been bolstered with extra fortifications and snares.

"Form up, eliminate every man, spare not a soul!!" she commanded, while the fighters organized into ranks.

Naturally, Vritra and his nine allies stood at the vanguard. They were set to fall first.

The fighters gazed with sorrow, unwilling to see such lovely women perish so pointlessly.

TRRRRRRRRR

All at once, the school's internal siren blared. Their presence was revealed even prior to launching the assault.

"Damn it, who the hell snitched on us?" she scanned furiously around but spotted no traitor.

"Just rush them!!" she snarled.

"Hold on, Bull! Do you truly intend to strike? We're fully ready. Your crew isn't as cohesive as you believed.

Besides, an assault will summon those colossal mutants. Certain about that?" A lanky figure approached the perimeter fence, grinning derisively.

"You bastard, I'll end you today, come hell or high water. Even if it costs all these expendables, you won't escape alive." Bull yelled. Deep-seated grudge clearly simmered between them.

'Sigh, with mere survival this grueling, why chase vendettas lacking real power?' Vritra shook his head.

Positioning himself next to Bull, he declared with assurance.

"Relax, Bull, I'll handle him. I've got a unique technique to shift this battle's momentum." His proclamation stunned everyone on both sides.

"Huh? What are you—Fine, I believe in you, Adam. Proceed and demonstrate your skills." Bull feigned confidence, though uncertainty flickered in her thoughts.

'What's his scheme this time? Still vying for my approval, perhaps. Isn't his power only enhanced speed? What could he possibly achieve?' she pondered.

Vritra lifted his arms, directing his open palms skyward, as though summoning a devastating disaster.

Upon his cue, his nine companions discreetly retreated a bit, primed to execute their strategy.

"What's that fool up to? Picked up a con artist? He's staging one hell of a dis—"

Yet abruptly, all eyes widened in confusion at the heavens as a huge crimson dragon soared upward from the rear of their formation.

This explained Vritra's mutant slayings. He'd gathered their blood as well.

The colossal beast consisted wholly of blood from mutants.

"Whoa, a dragon? H-How in the world?" Shock rippled through the crowd as the grand serpent ascended loftily.

"A-Adam, you possess such a power?!!" Bull abruptly realized he was far too valuable for frontline sacrifice.

She resolved to elevate him to her team's top rank. That mighty dragon guaranteed their triumph.

The gigantic serpent circled overhead, instilling fear in both factions.

It parted its jaws broadly, poised to bellow, causing hearts to seize—particularly among the Bull Eaters, who sensed imminent doom.

BOOM

However, the dragon detonated out of nowhere, as though its energy depleted.

"W-What? That's it? Explain yourself, Adam?!!" Bull reeled from surprise to fury.

"Hahahaha! So he's truly a phony. Gotta admit, you fooled me briefly. Hahaha, clever ploy, Bull. Impressive squad!" The opposing leader cackled wildly.

She shot him a venomous stare, then whirled toward Vritra, seeking explanations.

TIP TIP TIP TIP

All of a sudden, a downpour of gore descended from above, soaking all in the reek of spoiled blood.

Vritra had observed a key detail. Mutants avoided devouring kin, yet blood invariably drew them.

No droplet touched him or his kin, halting precisely over their heads.

"Why hesitate? FLEE!!" Vritra bellowed, pivoting to sprint at maximum velocity. His relatives responded without delay.

Those within and beyond the school premises stood stunned briefly before grasping it was blood.

"T-That scum, he's drawing mutants straight here!!" Comprehension dawned on them. Such volume would lure every local mutant.

"ADAM!! YOU'RE DEAD!!" Bull howled. She'd begun warming to him, only for this betrayal.

Disregarding all, she pursued him, but a barrage of abilities assailed her.

Her form weakened, the descending blood poisoning her further.

Momentarily paralyzed, she shattered the hold and attempted pursuit.

Vritra had briefed them on the getaway beforehand. As anticipated, soon hordes of mutants surged that way.

Chaos erupted as everyone scattered in panic.

"Yenni, lead them to safety ahead. I'll join shortly." He called, veering off course.

"Husband…" Yennefer appeared hesitant, yet acted swiftly as the terrain caved in swiftly, engulfing them in seconds.

The ground sealed shut, erasing all signs of them.

A vast swarm of mutants charged toward the blood.

'I won't squander this prime opportunity. Wonder how far I can advance from it.' Vritra mused, until a blaze of fire suddenly consumed him.
