"Keep an eye on them." The leader instructed while heading off. Naturally, she held no faith in those folks herself.
Figuring out details about them based solely on looks proved challenging for her.
Regardless, they'd likely perish in tomorrow's clash, making it pointless to dwell too much.
Chewing on the meat, she entered her simple shelter.
Meanwhile, Vritra and his companions felt exhaustion creeping in. Their physiques had declined from their previous state.
"We'll pitch a tent right here and hold out for the time being." Vritra uttered with a heavy breath. He urgently needed to boost his power more swiftly.
Among the assorted prizes, a couple of tents were included. Pulling them out, they swiftly erected the pair of shelters.
One went to Shitless and Onest, the other to Vritra along with his wives.
"P-Pitiful one, must I truly bunk with this thief? Suppose he attempts to swipe my stuff?" the monk grumbled.
"Huh? Shitless, what valuable item do you possess worth taking? Or could it be you're turning into actual crap, Sonia?" Onest shot back.
Vritra gave an eye roll and allowed the pair to keep quarreling. Glancing at his wives, he signaled them over.
"This setup isn't half bad." The goddess commented, surveying the area.
Mattresses covered the floor, yet a chill lingered somewhat.
"Time to catch some rest; tomorrow's unknowns could be brutal." Vritra suggested, settling down.
His wives joined in, positioning themselves on either side of him as they reclined.
"Hubby, want me to stand guard?" Yasmine offered. After all, that bunch couldn't be relied upon.
With so many alluring women present, plenty of men might lose their restraint.
"No worries, Divine will alert me if issues arise, won't you, Divine?" Vritra assured.
"Haa, this fellow. Alright, I'll manage that for all you've accomplished." Divine exhaled. He'd been demoted to mere sentry duty.
Drawing multiple blanket layers over them, they shut their eyes. At the very least, the group remained united.

Thanks to Bull's assurance, no fellows approached to stir up problems for them.
Come dawn, they hastily cleaned up and slipped into fresh warm outfits.
With all the lottery pulls, Vritra certainly didn't lack provisions.
"Hey, you! The boss wants you to come see her." Soon enough, a man approached and announced.
Yet his eyes kept drifting toward the stunning ladies. Moving ahead, Vritra obstructed his line of sight.
"Fine, I'll head over. Now scram!" In the apocalypse's harsh world, scarcely anyone preserved their goodwill or morals.
"How bold! You're merely a prisoner, yet you speak to me that way!!" The man's ego stung. He itched to thrash Vritra right in front of his ladies.
"Drop it. If Bull learns she got delayed by you, you'll face heat. And I bet he can't protect himself long, much less those women."
Another fellow remarked with a smirk as the duo retreated.
"Tch, I'll hold off for now."
'Hold on, how'd these people score such fine tents? Or did we miss spotting them?' He pondered briefly, then brushed it aside.
"Darling, got any strategy?" Fiona creased her brow. She despised any slight against her spouse or kin.
"Yes, I'll meet that Bull woman. Remain vigilant." Vritra stated gravely.
After issuing some directives, he departed.
As Vritra navigated past the tents toward the largest one, every gaze fixed on him.
"Hold up, give your name." A guard demanded, eyeing him with suspicion.
"…Adam." Vritra answered. He only had to endure a while longer.
"Okay, enter." The guard replied with an arrogant sneer.
Inside, Vritra spotted Bull and several men gathered around a circular table.
"Adam, glad you made it. Perfect, every squad head is present too." She noted, treating him like a key member.
"What orders do you have for me?" He inquired, advancing to stand before Bull.
"Oh, direct to the point? Impressive. Now that I get a good look, you're rather good-looking. Care to be my plaything? I've got plenty of rations."
Her tone carried a gruffer edge than many males.
"No thanks." Vritra declined with a resolute shake of his head.
"Heh, we can discuss that soon enough. Right now, we're striking the Bull Eater faction. They're fewer in count, but their chief packs serious might."
Bull explained.
'Bull Eater? Haha, is she risking it heading there?' Vritra nearly burst into laughter over the title.
"And you expect me to lead the charge?" He cut in.
Fortune favored them arriving amid this group's war prep, when they couldn't tolerate disruptions.
Else, Bull would've assaulted them outright.
"Clever as well. Exactly. It's risky, sure, but I won't risk you turning on us from behind.
Up front, you'll battle to save your own skin too." She affirmed with a nod.
"Alright." He agreed through clenched teeth.
"Excellent, sharp one you are. Gear up and grab some arms if needed. Also, inform Tat of your team's powers before you go, and no fibbing!" She directed, indicating a sturdy man nicknamed Tat.
"Yeah, yeah…" Vritra exited, with Tat trailing him while clutching a ripped sheet.
"You've got ten people. List each one's abilities."
Tat demanded.
"Mine's strength. That bald fellow transforms into a female. The other runs at incredible speeds. My women haven't awakened yet; they rely on me."
Vritra claimed.
This caused Tat to scowl. No chance he'd buy that tale. After half a year plus in the end times, how could women stay unawakened?
Wouldn't that spell certain death? Hadn't they consumed any mutant flesh?
"Quit the lies!!" Tat bellowed. He failed to grasp why Bull desired such feeble fodder.
He yearned to claim those women for himself.
'Hang on, speaking of which, I've got Evomorph too. What's that ability's function?
Does it activate solely in peril? Better test it soon.'
Vritra mused while pivoting to proceed.
"You ignoring me like that?" Tat discarded the sheet and lunged abruptly at Vritra's rear.
Tat fell short of Bull's prowess, yet most of his attributes exceeded 20, barring spirit and quickness.
Vritra merely shifted his head, letting the hefty fist whoosh by untouched.
"Head back; Bull won't want infighting at this point." Vritra advised, continuing onward.
'H-He evaded me?' Tat reeled in surprise. That nimbleness surpassed 20.
'Didn't he claim strength as his power? Perhaps it's swiftness; impossible for him to hit over 20 agility with a squad of women. Right, must inform her.'
Tat returned.
Once back, Vritra declared somberly, "Let's grab a meal and prep for the upcoming fight. Danger's ramping up."
"United, we'll push through. No fears, hubby." Yasmine reassured, though she longed for their prior peaceful days.
She couldn't even indulge in intimacy with him currently. Only safer times would allow it.
Besides, birthing a child amid this would prove far too hazardous. No telling their stay's duration.
Each harboring private musings, they started their meal.
