Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill Chapter 627 Clearing the building

Previously on Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill...
Vritra and Maeve stealthily eliminated eight mutants threatening their group on the 12th floor, using blood manipulation to silence the kills amid the zombies' groans. Reuniting inside the apartment, Vritra's wives revealed their awakened abilities—flame control, elemental mastery, explosions, illusions, healing with poisons, and a mysterious wall—while Onest gained speed and dodge skills, and Shitless unlocked metal transformation, shapeshifting, blood manipulation, and evolution. Forming a party, they coordinated to lure and dispatch thirteen zombies above, debuffing and hypnotizing them for easy kills, before testing Teresa's wall skill, which trapped the final zombie in an invisible cubic barrier.

[Blood Manipulation Activated!]

Vritra concentrated on the feeble zombie that had spotted their party and was charging wildly in their direction.

Yet abruptly, it came to a standstill. It seemed like endless worms twisted beneath the skin across its head, and then...

BOOM

The zombie's head burst open with a faint pop, spraying blood and chunks of brain in every direction.

{Sin Point Gained: Killed a Mutant +48}

{Sin Points: 1056}

Vritra's count rose just a bit more. At this pace, his advancement would rapidly match the rest in no time.

He aimed to claim new rewards before long.

"This level's been swept clean. Just one apartment stays locked, likely sheltering survivors." Vritra announced, then added:

"That tough deaf zombie lurks downstairs, and total blackness covers the floor above. We need to take them down.

Plus, more folks from that gang might be around. We gotta eliminate them all too."

The team absorbed the plans, and Diana wondered, "Any method to detect the mutants hiding in that dark area?"

"We'll scout that spot first." Vritra replied as they climbed upward. Defeating those zombies had elevated not only his abilities, but everyone else's stats as well.

Moments later, the squad halted at the entrance to the utterly dark hallway. No views or noises emerged from it. Emptiness appeared to stretch onward.

"Yenni, give lighting it a shot." Vritra commanded, clutching the machete firmly.

"Yes, husband." Yennefer agreed with a nod, then thrust her hand ahead, releasing a brilliant glow.

However, the light merely nudged the shadows slightly, proving useless in the end.

"Tess, use the 'Wall' to shove the darkness back." Vritra directed, while employing blood manipulation to probe for life signs further in.

"Mmm." Teresa responded with a nod, summoning a barrier ahead that sealed the hallway snugly, then driving it onward.

"It's working!" The gloom retreated steadily.

Maeve swiftly shrouded Teresa and the team in shadows for cover, as Fiona, Diana, and the others braced for strikes.

When they neared the hallway's center, Vritra signaled them to pause. He advanced one step, venturing into the shadows.

Then he pulled back fast.

"We'll tackle this later. It's way too intense right now."

The beast lurking there could've slaughtered them all, but luckily, it was preoccupied tearing into some meal at the moment.

They rushed back downstairs.

"So, we hitting that zombie next?" Yasmine inquired.

"No, the humans instead." As he said it, his stare shifted toward Monk Shitless.

"W-What?" He flinched in shock, desperate to bolt.

On the fifth floor below, Ron's whole crew had assembled.

"Lad took two squads upstairs earlier, and none came back. We've dropped twelve guys already. I say we bail. The firebull's arriving soon regardless."

A team member suggested.

"Sigh. Why'd that idiot Lad head up personally? He was our sharp thinker, that sleazy money-grubbing fool." Ron grumbled, pounding his metal fist on the table.

"Right, no room for risks. Something nasty could be up there. Let's escape now while the huge mutant's gone." Ron declared, scanning his remaining followers.

Only about thirty-two stayed.

BANG BANG

Abruptly, pounding echoed at the door. The group tensed up, weapons drawn for combat.

"See who's there." Ron commanded, rising and approaching the entrance.

A guy nodded and glanced through the peephole. "B-Boss, it's a woman, and a stunning one too."

"Let her in, but stay sharp. Mutants come with wild powers these days." Ron cautioned.

The door swung open, revealing a gorgeous woman toting a bag, appearing a bit ragged.

"H-Help, a mutant upstairs murdered my husband. It's incredibly deadly." She whimpered, tears flowing softly.

Yet every guy inside eyed her with greedy desire.

The opener's gaze flashed briefly as Vanessa's hypnosis took hold.

He scanned outside, then faced her again.

"Sure, miss, we'll assist, but what's in it for us?" He leered, yanking her bag away.

"Let's check your haul."

"N-No, that's my final food stash. Sob, please stop!" Sonia pleaded.

"Haha, water and grub too—we're in luck!!" He grabbed a bottle and chugged it down.

"Hold on, what if it's tainted—" another cautioned, but he'd already swallowed.

"I'm good, no toxins here. Go ahead, everyone, dig in." He passed the goods to the wary bunch.

They watched him closely, but minutes passed with him unscathed.

So the group started munching and sipping with joy. Such provisions were rare treasures.

Ron skipped the shares and probed, "How'd you make it? Where'd the food come from?"

"Uwaah, the zombie's coming!!" Sonia shrieked suddenly, dashing off.

The crew scanned the hall frantically but spotted nothing, finally realizing it was all a trap.

Their glares fixed on the first guy—they'd relaxed thanks to him.

"Ughh, what occurred?" He gripped his skull, bewildered and glancing about.

"GRAB HER! FAST!"

Ron bellowed as the mob surged after Shitless.

Ron, the swiftest and mightiest, closed the gap in seconds.

But as the monk hit the staircase, shadows coiled around him, and he vanished.

"Where'd she go? Find her!" He yelled, yet a massive thud rang out, followed by a zombie's howl.

Footsteps thundered soon after, and the deaf zombie burst into view.

"Fuck!" Ron swore, clashing with the undead beast.

Their strengths balanced closely, but Ron's metallic form gave him an edge.

The rest of the men rushed to aid him from afar.

'Perfect!' Vritra grinned. His scheme unfolded flawlessly. Without delay, he slipped behind the foes.

Most had ingested the poison, their bodies weakening and reactions dulling.

Backed by Diana, Vanessa, and Yasmine, Vritra unleashed his assault.

Fiona and Yennefer hurled strikes from the rear.

Onest leaped amid them to draw focus, untouchable by any.

Vritra swung the machete, severing a man's head smoothly, then rampaged through.

He blurred through the throng, hacking wildly as limbs and torsos scattered.

Notifications flashed nonstop, and with his wives' aid, it turned effortless.

An unpoisoned fighter spun to fight back, but his eyes burst in gore, followed by his decapitation.

In short order, the bunch lay slain. Just Ron and the deaf zombie endured.

'W-What? They're all gone?!!' Ron peeked back, his chest tightening at the sight of his followers drowned in crimson.

He'd poured resources into them, yet they failed against one foe.

Fury and loathing surged within—he'd slaughter them all, women and men alike.

Even with caution, their entire outfit got erased in moments.
