"PITIFULLL ONEEEEEEEEEEE!! I HAVE RETURRRNNNEDDD~" A thunderous, distant shout suddenly reached their ears.
Everyone spun around to see a massive bull charging through the thick snowfall, carrying two riders on its back.
"Who could that be—" Shen began to ask, but he quickly realized the beast was galloping far too fast to halt in these icy conditions.
As Bullo neared and attempted to brake, the bull skidded across the ground, launching its two passengers forward into the air.
Vritra used Null to dampen everyone’s senses with a misty essence, slowing their cognitive reactions while the three figures plummeted toward them.
'It looks like Shitless hasn't been slacking over the past six months,' Vritra noted, observing the monk's gleaming scalp.
An instant later…
BOOOM!!
The bald head of Shitless slammed directly into Sakshi’s face. A sickening crunch echoed through the air as she was sent flying dozens of meters backward.
BANG
Sir Giant was struck by the bull next. Since his physique had been drained, his weakened body offered no resistance, and he was tossed aside like a ragdoll.
Onest, having already reached the Lord rank, possessed the reflexes to react, yet Vritra’s interference kept him from intervening.
Then came the sound…
CRACK
His head collided squarely with Shen’s crotch. A bizarre noise was followed immediately by Shen’s agonizing, blood-curdling scream.
Ompphhh!!
Shen collapsed onto the snow instantly, his frame convulsing as he clutched himself and whimpered in a strange tone.
Meanwhile, Shitless and Onest stood up, brushing themselves off as if the chaotic entrance were perfectly normal.
"Vritra, where did you vanish to?" Onest inquired while straightening his attire.
"Just a trip away from this world. More importantly, how was your training?" Vritra asked, scanning the two and noting their obvious growth.
Onest shuddered at the memory of the destination that map had led him to. "Where did you find that map? It was effective, but the experience was so horrific and agonizing that I still have nightmares every night."
"Hehe. My skull is now tougher than most high-grade metals. It was torture at the start, but I'm used to it now." Shitless remarked, using a scrap of cloth to wipe the blood from his forehead.
"Excellent. We are heading to the Golden Moon shortly. This time, we are the ones declaring war," Vritra declared. Gunter was preoccupied assisting Shen and Sir Giant, so he didn't pay much heed to the conversation.
"Count me in. It’s high time the world learned my name," Shitless agreed without hesitation, and Onest nodded alongside him.
"You filthy baldy... ugh... m-my face... *cough*... my nose is shattered... ahhh, not again..." Sakshi struggled to her feet, her features a crimson disaster.
"Oops. My bad, I didn't notice you there. Now get lost, we're in the middle of a serious talk."
Shitless dismissed her coldly; had she been anyone of consequence, Vritra would have stepped in earlier.
"Who are these disrespectful bastards?" Shen asked, trembling as he stood on shaky legs, the agony clearly overwhelming him.
"Hahaha! Are they finally gone?" Onest burst out laughing at the sight of Shen’s pathetic state.
"Hey now, play nice. My brother-in-law has a habit of losing his dignity easily, pfft—" Vritra struggled to stifle his own laughter.
Though Sir Giant and Shen were seething with rage, Vritra’s presence kept them paralyzed with fear.
"Shen, slaughter this bald freak this instant! Ugh, look at what he did to me! Stop this charade and just take her by force! I doubt he can face our entire family at once!!"
Sakshi shrieked in fury, her voice punctuated by groans of pain.
Vritra signaled for Onest and Shitless to remain quiet before turning to Sir Giant. "Is there any other reason for your visit? If not, show yourselves out."
Sir Giant opened his mouth to retort but hesitated. He turned a desperate gaze toward Teresa and pleaded:
"Teresa, will you really stand by and watch him degrade your family? Do we mean nothing to you? Surely you can see he is the one in the wrong here?"
"My husband is never wrong, and my loyalty lies with my new family. Grandpa, you should leave and stop bothering us," Teresa replied with icy resolve, tightening her grip on Vritra’s hand.
She found comfort in his touch; even a simple hand-hold was enough to fill her with joy.
"T-Teresa…?" Sir Giant stared, stunned. He couldn't reconcile this woman with the innocent girl he once knew. What had changed her so much?
"Are you still here?" Vritra’s tone shifted, sending a chill down the spines of both father and son.
"W-Wait! There is one more thing. The day after tomorrow, Tiny’s grand wedding ceremony will be held in the Ford Realm. I came to deliver the invitation."
He produced an invitation card and handed it to Gunter.
Without another word, he took flight, followed by Shen, whose flight path was noticeably erratic due to his injury.
Sakshi remained behind, still screaming, so Vritra signaled Bullo to deal with her.
BANNGGGG!
With a thunderous roar, Bullo charged and struck her with maximum force, launching her body several kilometers into the distance.
"That wedding... I feel like I've been hearing about it for an eternity. What kind of event is this?" Vritra shook his head, amazed at how long the preparations had been dragged out.
At the very least, it seemed they had finally settled on a groom.
Vritra looked at Teresa and asked, "Do you expect the Golden Moon and the other major factions to attend?"
"Most certainly. Given Grandpa's former status, the entire Golden Moon and numerous other powers will be present," Teresa confirmed.
"Oh, that makes it even better than just a direct assault. Imagine the shock of a grand reveal during such a massive wedding, hehe," Yasmine giggled, already picturing the look on their faces when her husband's true power was unveiled.
"Very well, change of plans. We will confront them the day after tomorrow." Vritra turned back to Onest and Shitless. "You two stay here for now. Oh, and here are some gifts for you from Tess."
He took the enchanted bracelets from Teresa and handed them over. As soon as the two put them on, their expressions turned to awe.
"Oh, I can feel a strange warmth," Shitless remarked. The bracelets were packed with various beneficial functions, and the two were clearly delighted.
After thanking Teresa, they followed Gunter to the guest quarters he had prepared.
"Let's head back inside since we have a free day. We can investigate the cause of this strange weather as well," Vritra suggested, opening a portal that led straight into their cozy, heated room.
"Haa, nothing beats the feeling of home." Yasmine collapsed onto the bed, letting out a relaxed sigh.
Vritra summoned the rest of his wives, and soon the whole group was gathered in the house.
"Foxie, you have enough time, so go ahead and begin your evolution. I’ll manipulate the time flow for you," Vritra said, knowing Maeve didn't want to miss the upcoming battle.
"Thank you, Master. Please don't leave for the fight without me," she whispered. After leaning in for a quick, tender kiss, she retreated to a private room to evolve in peace.
Once Maeve was settled, Vritra sealed the room with multiple protective barriers and accelerated the passage of time within.
"Why don't the rest of you start refining the core? I’m going to scout the Northern region," Vritra proposed.
Vanessa and Diana didn't require the core, and Maeve was already occupied with her own treasures.
That left Yasmine, Teresa, and Fiona—all of whom were the type to insist on accompanying him.
Knowing he couldn't win an argument against them, Vritra relented, and the four of them departed toward the North.
