In the wake of a devastating war, Oracle has consolidated power within Golden Moon by filling vacant seats with controllable subordinates and securing a new, stronger body. His focus has shifted toward disciplining the succubus and phoenix races while plotting to seize Teresa Ford, whose identity as the "Stealer of Fate" has finally been revealed. Meanwhile, Vritra and Teresa share a moment of intimacy as they prepare to leave the Ford realm for the Yate family home. Upon awakening, Vritra discovers he has earned a new title that allows him to protect and even share in Teresa's fate-altering abilities. Their peaceful morning is abruptly interrupted by a hostile visitor pounding on their door.

Upon opening the door, Vritra was met with the sight of a gaunt woman whose face was twisted into a repulsive, irritated scowl.

Her appearance was marred by black hair and skin plagued by acne and large pores, making her look quite unsightly.

The arrogance and annoyance radiating from her expression only served to make her more hideous.

"What?" Vritra muttered, curious about the woman's bizarre behavior. He wondered if there was some crisis or if her face was simply naturally unpleasant.

The woman seemed startled to see Vritra, but her scowl quickly returned as she demanded:

"Hmph! Is Teresa inside?"

As she spoke, she began trying to peer past him into the room.

"Yes, she is. What do you want?" Vritra replied, pulling the door shut and positioning himself to block her line of sight.

"I am Sakshi, her sister-in-law," she stated, introducing herself.

"Oh! You aren't a maid? I see, so you're Shen's wife, then? Why are you here again?" Vritra's tone immediately shifted, losing the small amount of courtesy he had initially shown.

"W- What?!! A maid? How dare you!! I am the wife of the monarch of this family! Who do you think you are!" she screamed, her fury boiling over instantly.

Vritra simply rolled his eyes. Feeling a soft tap on his back, he turned to find Teresa standing behind him.

"Hmm?" he asked, looking at her with a questioning expression.

"Just let me deal with her, she is… uhm, a bit hot-headed," Teresa whispered. She looked distressed, clearly wanting to shield Vritra from the impending drama.

"It is fine, just go freshen up. I will take care of her," Vritra said, offering a reassuring smile to his stunningly beautiful wife.

Teresa hesitated, knowing exactly how malicious her sister-in-law could be. Sakshi was the primary reason her life had been so difficult lately.

"You! Get out here! How dare your husband disrespect me!! Have you forgotten your place since getting married? You wench, get out here now!" she hollered, acting as though she was superior to everyone around her.

She carried herself as if she were the pinnacle of grace and intellect, expecting total obedience from everyone.

Vritra quietly shut the door behind him and stepped forward.

"So, what were you saying?" he inquired with a faint smile.

"Tell her to come out. I gave her a task to complete. Tsk! This blind wench just doesn't know her plac—"

Vritra’s right hand suddenly blurred through the air, and then…

SLAAPPP

The impact was so powerful it echoed down the corridor, sending the woman flying through the air.

After tumbling several times, her head struck the wall with a thud, leaving a thick smear of blood as she slumped to the floor.

Drawn by the noise, several guards rushed to the scene. They stared in disbelief at the woman lying in an undignified heap, a crimson pool beginning to form around her head.

However, given her high level of strength, a blow like that shouldn't have been fatal.

The guards actually felt a sense of grim satisfaction. They had never understood how such a petty, venomous woman had managed to marry into the family.

It was equally baffling that a composed and gifted youth like Rich was her biological son.

She was universally loathed; not a single soul in the Ford family held any affection for her.

More than ten guards watched in silence, secretly hoping she wouldn't stand up, but their hopes were dashed when her limbs began to twitch.

She rolled onto her back, looking dazed for a few seconds. Once the realization of what happened set in, her eyes burned with even greater rage.

Wiping the blood from her face, she sat up, though the world was clearly spinning for her.

"Y- You bastard! How dare you strike me! Do you realize the magnitude of your crime? Don't think being the husband of that bl- woman will save you!"

She trembled with a mixture of agony and wrath.

Scrambling to her feet, she began to shriek, demanding the guards arrest him immediately while calling for reinforcements.

"What are you doing just standing there? Go and arrest this bastard! I'll make him suffer! Ughhh, so much blood... how could you hit a woman?"

The pain in her face and head was intense, but it only fueled her desire for vengeance.

No one had ever dared to treat her this way. Even Sir Giant usually ignored her, and the monarch himself seemed intimidated by her.

In her mind, Art Yates was a dead man walking. She would ensure his end, regardless of whether it left Teresa a widow. A man like him could not be permitted to live.

"..." The guards remained frozen. Not only was Vritra now a member of the family, but they had witnessed his monstrous power at the wedding, unlike Sakshi.

They had seen him erase a lord in the blink of an eye. What could they possibly do against him?

"You worthless piles of trash, are you rebelling now? I'll have you all executed, and your families too for treason!! SHEENNNNNN!! GET OVER HERE NOW!!" she wailed like a madwoman.

The guards exchanged nervous glances. They were trapped between two deaths: being killed by Vritra on the spot or having their entire families executed later.

With trembling steps, they began to close in on Vritra.

"Sigh, just stay where you are," Vritra remarked lazily, waiting for her backup to arrive.

Suddenly, the guards found themselves unable to move another inch, no matter how hard they struggled.

Moments passed. Vritra stood with his arms crossed, debating whether he should just end her life then and there.

He restrained himself. He needed to find out if she had previously mistreated Teresa; if she had, a quick death would be far too merciful.

"Tess, don't worry. Just get ready. We'll be leaving this place soon," Vritra called out, sensing his wife's anxiety through the door.

He could feel her inner turmoil. Teresa possessed the power to kill both Sakshi and Shen easily, but her heart was too soft. She lacked the will to cause harm.

Vritra intended to rectify that trait, regardless of how long it took.

"Hah! You think you can escape? Forget it! You'll be buried right here, and she'll pay for your sins too!" she spat, her face contorted with malice.

It didn't take long for the commotion to draw a crowd. Shen, Sir Giant, Rich, and more guards swarmed the second floor, only to be met with a shocking sight.

Vritra stood perfectly composed while the guards looked helpless, and on the other side—

"What happened? How did you get hurt like this?" Shen asked, horrified by his wife's appearance.

Blood continued to leak from her scalp, her right cheek was swollen into a purple knot, and her nose looked badly mangled.

The hallway was stained with blood.

"Shen, this monster attacked me just because I asked him to get Teresa. Sob, look at what he did to me!" she wailed, running to him and feigning a pathetic sob.

'What a performance...' Vritra thought, watching with amusement as he waited for the others to react.

"H- He hit you too?!" Shen stammered, his hand instinctively going to his own face. He remembered all too well the slaps Vritra had dealt him before.
