Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill Chapter 544 For the Greater Good

Previously on Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill...
Vritra discovers a glass ball containing the Oblivion Tornado Realm, a powerful artifact created by Teresa that provides a vital clue to finding Yennefer. While his initial focus on the item leaves his new bride feeling neglected, he eventually comforts her, finally seeing her true beauty and learning the tragic origin of her blindness. As the couple shares an intimate night together, news of their hidden power and lineage begins to spread throughout the realm. This sudden fame draws the attention of dangerous factions, including the Golden Moon organization, who are now monitoring their every move.

Oracle sat within a grand hall, his eyes scanning several documents as he reviewed various intelligence reports.

Five other chairs were arranged there; however, most were occupied by fresh faces since many of the previous occupants had perished in the last conflict.

Aside from Oracle and Big Guy, the rest were newcomers. The twins had been slain, Pink was dead, and Sir Giant had chosen to retire.

Consequently, four new individuals had filled the vacancies. This time, Oracle had hand-picked candidates he knew he could manipulate without effort.

Even though their collective power had dwindled, there were currently no urgent threats to worry about.

“Twilight… have you managed to locate any of their strongholds yet?” he asked, glancing toward the others.

With the exception of Big Guy, everyone present was his subordinate. Even Big Guy, despite his lack of intelligence, followed Oracle’s lead.

“Yes, we successfully tracked down a base within the Quartz continent, situated near the frontier,” one of the four lords answered. These four possessed no real influence over major decisions.

They were simply content to hold such prestigious ranks.

“Excellent. The phoenix and succubus races have stepped out of line lately; they require a lesson in discipline,” Oracle whispered. He intended to seize this opportunity to strike at both races using a borrowed blade.

“What are your commands, sir?” inquired one man, who was clad in garments far too large for his frame.

He also possessed the talent to transform into a giant, yet he was nowhere near the scale or power of Sir Giant.

“Wait a bit longer. I have several demons under my thumb. We shall deploy them to resolve all our complications at once,” he replied, his mind already crafting a scheme to eliminate every obstacle.

He needed to exert pressure on all the empresses, forcing them to dedicate their might to the service of Golden Moon.

“Hmm, what’s next… oh!” Oracle suddenly cried out as he reached a significant piece of news.

At last, the identity of the legendary witch and stealer of fate had been uncovered; whoever secured her allegiance would see their power grow exponentially.

“We cannot permit such a formidable being to remain with a rival organization or clan. It seems she recently wed into the Yate family.”

Oracle muttered to himself, certain that the Fords wouldn't simply let her depart if his instincts were correct.

They would likely use familial bonds, the promise of safety, or any other excuse to keep her close; he was intimately familiar with such manipulation.

“You, go there and escort Teresa Ford back here. It wouldn't be a bad idea for her to take over Yennefer’s position. Failure is not an option; she must join our ranks.

If anyone resists, you are authorized to use force or kill, just ensure you don't overdo it.”

Oracle commanded. Despite the heavy losses they had suffered, he had significantly bolstered the overall might of Golden Moon.

He had also ensured that the fear of the organization was more deeply rooted in the public consciousness than ever before.

“Her spouse, Art Yates—gather more intel on him. He slew a lord in an instant? How intriguing…” Oracle provided a few final directions before dismissing the group.

He had already secured a new vessel for himself, one far more potent and resilient than his previous one, though it had required a few sacrifices for the sake of the greater good.

“It appears things are about to get interesting again.” He attempted to peer into the future but found his vision blocked.

Meanwhile, back in the Ford territory,

Vritra was resting peacefully. Yasmine had risen early and departed for a short time to handle some business.

Her realm was showing signs of improvement, so her personal attention was still required occasionally.

Teresa was also sleeping soundly, curled up in Vritra’s embrace as they lay face-to-face.

In her slumber, all her reservations had vanished. Her arms were hooked around him, and her legs were entwined with his own.

Her soft breasts were pressed firmly against him, yielding gently against his chest.

Vritra was the first to wake, alerted by faint sounds in the distance.

The moment his eyes opened, he was met by her lovely face; she appeared so pure and radiant…

He felt a sudden urge to keep her in his arms forever, shielding her from the world.

‘We’re supposed to head back today—’ Vritra thought to himself, before a realization struck him.

He didn't actually have a home of his own. He had spent his life drifting from one place to the next, never having a permanent residence to call his own.

For the time being, they would return to the Yate territory, but he definitely needed to acquire a house—one better than all the rest.

Keeping that in mind, he remembered something else.

‘That’s right, I haven’t checked the title I earned yesterday: Husband of Fate Reaver.’

Without delay, he took a long breath, inhaling her scent as he tightened his hold on her.

He then summoned his status screen and went straight to the title section.

[Husband of Fate Reaver]

[Description]: A soul companion to the Stealer of Fate. Even when distanced, your connection remains absolute. Bound together forever, you weave one another’s destinies.

At times, you may shoulder her burden and act as the stealer yourself—the knight of fate.

None can manipulate or perceive your destinies. As the Knight of Fate, you must defend the witch.

(Steal meter: 1 remaining)

Vritra scanned the text, feeling a hint of astonishment.

He was already committed to protecting her; he didn't need a system to tell him that.

‘So I have one chance to steal fate? I wonder how I can increase that tally. Also, do I need to track down Jack now?’

Vritra softly stroked her back, his palms brushing against the light fabric of her clothes.

“Mmm…” Teresa finally stirred. She let out a sigh of pure satisfaction; it had been ages since she had enjoyed such a restful sleep, free from nightmares or the dread of being hunted.

To say nothing of the warmth of cuddling. After a few seconds, the reality of her marriage came back to her.

Her eyes fluttered open, revealing dark pupils that seemed somewhat vacant, and she realized Vritra was watching her.

The realization of their intimacy caused her to flush instantly.

“Good morning, my Tess,” Vritra whispered, reaching out to gently stroke her hair.

“G-Good morning…” Overwhelmed by shyness, she made a slight move to pull away.

“Is something wrong? Do you dislike being this close? Very well then—” Vritra let out a mock sigh of disappointment, beginning to withdraw his arms.

But recalling the loneliness she had felt before, she quickly pressed back against him, speaking in a rush.

“I like it.”

“I’m glad to hear that.” Vritra gave a smile and drew her back in, gradually learning how to handle her.

“Did you have a good rest?” he inquired, his fingers tracing slow patterns across her back, sending shivers through her.

“Y-Yes…” she squirmed slightly in his grasp, though she clearly enjoyed the sensation.

“We’ll be leaving this place shortly. Does that make you sad?” Vritra closed his eyes, listening to the melodic quality of her voice as if it were a song.

“…Not really, though I’ll miss Rich and the others,” Teresa answered. She felt that as long as her husband was by her side, everything would be alright.

She had entrusted herself to him, and thus far, it felt like the wisest decision she had ever made.

The pair lingered in conversation for a while, reluctant to leave the bed or the comfort of each other’s arms.

Just then, a heavy thumping echoed from outside the door.

BANG BANG

It sounded as though someone was venting their fury on the wood.

With a frown, Vritra pulled away and climbed out of bed, stretching his limbs as he stood up.

“Oh!” Teresa sat up, looking startled and a little troubled.

Vritra approached the door and swung it open, revealing a slender woman with a sour, twisted expression.
