Vritra stood mesmerized by his wife, finding that no words could truly capture her beauty or the depth of his emotions. Her appearance was breathtaking; a soft blush graced her skin, making her rosy cheeks appear even more vibrant.
In that moment, his gaze caught a glimpse of a glass sphere tucked away in the corner of a shelf. Inside the orb, violent cyclones swirled—a sight identical to what he had witnessed in the werewolf's crystal ball. This was the Oblivion Tornado Realm, the very lead he needed to locate Yennefer.
Realizing that Divine hadn't been dishonest, Vritra’s focus shifted instantly from Teresa to the mysterious glass object. Meanwhile, having just emerged from the bath, Teresa could feel Vritra’s eyes traveling over her form. Under normal circumstances, such a gaze from anyone else would have sparked discomfort.
Strangely, she found herself enjoying his attention, wishing only that she could see him clearly in return. However, it surprised her when his interest abruptly shifted away after only a few seconds. Teresa felt she had little to contribute to this union, with her beauty being one of the few traits she felt confident in.
Though her true face was rarely seen, those who did behold it were usually captivated instantly. Was her own husband truly uninterested? Her shoulders slumped as a wave of sadness washed over the young bride, making her wonder once more if he harbored a secret dislike for her.
This felt like a devastating blow. She had initially worried her looks might overwhelm him, as they had others, but it seemed her concerns were misplaced. ‘Does he really feel nothing for me?’ she mused, doubting if she would ever be able to capture his heart.
Vritra rose from the bed and approached the shelf. Picking up the glass sphere, he inquired, "Did you create this as well?"
Teresa turned her head distractedly and gave a small nod. "Yes..."
"It’s true, hubby, it looks exactly like the other one," Yasmine chimed in.
"So, tell me, what is this?" Vritra pressed, sensing he was finally close to finding Yennefer.
"It is a type of explosive; it possesses enough power to wipe out the entire Ford realm," Teresa explained, hoping perhaps he was more intrigued by her magical craftsmanship.
"Incredible!" Vritra felt a brief urge to test its power within the Ford realm but restrained himself. "Where did you acquire this tornado?" he asked.
"I am unsure. It was presented as a gift from... the Star family. I do know they have been aggressively expanding their research into various other realms lately," Teresa replied. The Star family likely intended for the item to sow chaos, but as a premier sorceress, Teresa had managed to stabilize it into this treasure.
'I definitely need to pay the Star family a visit,' Vritra thought. He was one step closer now; if he could just gain entry to that realm, he would find her. "May I borrow this for a while?" he asked with a smile.
'Is he truly more fascinated by a bomb than by me?' Teresa wondered. "Yes, it is yours to keep," she said quietly. She turned and moved back toward the bed, climbing in and sitting with her eyes pressed shut.
"Sigh, hubby, you’ve upset Teresa. You just saw her for the first time and didn't even offer a compliment," the dragoness chided him.
'Ah...' Stowing the glass ball away, Vritra turned back to see her exquisite face. She looked lost in her own thoughts. He scratched his cheek awkwardly, realizing his excitement had caused him to neglect her in favor of her invention. Clearing his throat, he sat down on the edge of the bed next to her.
"Tess, you are truly stunning. Please, will you open your eyes for me?" He ran his fingers through her silky hair and rested his palm against her soft, blushing cheek. Her skin felt so delicate that he feared even a heavy touch might bruise her.
Vritra thought back to the images Divine had shown him. She had been beautiful then, but the reality was far more striking. He recalled the vision of the two sisters shielding Divine. Teresa had even seized the destiny of a God, a being of peerless beauty. 'Is she essentially a goddess of beauty?' Even that description felt lacking.
Teresa relaxed under his gentle touch, her anxieties melting away. "Mhm," she whispered. Her lashes fluttered before her eyes slowly opened, revealing a gaze so enchanting that Vritra felt himself drowning in them, despite the hollow void within them.
"So, your loss of sight was the price for taking Darius's fate..." he murmured.
"It was..." For a moment, she seemed to regret the burden of the ill fate she had claimed.
"Is there a way to undo it? Can't you transfer this fate to another?" Vritra asked, leaning in close. Her beauty and scent were nearly enough to make him lose his composure. 'She is beyond perfection,' he thought.
"No, there is no way. And I wouldn't," she replied. Kindness was woven into Teresa's very soul; having taken the misfortune upon herself, she would not force it upon another.
"I understand. I promise I will find a cure for this," Vritra declared firmly. "For now, let us rest. I'm sure you are exhausted." He leaned in and pressed a tender kiss to her forehead. "Good night," he whispered.
"O-Oh... G-Good night." Overwhelmed by the unfamiliar affection, the woman could barely respond. Vritra resisted the urge to kiss her dark, alluring lips; she had such a captivating, "baddie" aura, but he didn't want to rush her. Reluctantly, he lay back, dimmed the lights, and stretched out.
Teresa lay beside him, her body as stiff and straight as a soldier on duty. Vritra chuckled softly and slid his arm beneath her head. Confused, she lifted her head as he moved the pillow, resting her instead on his arm. He pulled her close, turning her so her soft body pressed against his.
Her heart hammered against her ribs. Her hands hovered nervously for a moment before she finally rested them on his chest. Gradually, she relaxed, snuggling into him and even hooking a leg over his. The intimacy of the embrace felt wonderful; she feared she might become addicted to it.
Soon, the pair fell into a deep sleep, their limbs intertwined. Yasmine eventually joined them, settling on Vritra’s other side, already well-accustomed to the comfort of his presence.

The night flew by, though the Ford family found little sleep as they prepared for the coming days. With such prestigious guests under their roof, they had to ensure their hospitality was flawless. They also needed to improve their standing with the Yates family.
Word had spread like wildfire regarding Art Yates’s slaughter of thousands of fishmen, including a powerful lord. Between that and the revelation of Teresa’s true identity, it seemed both families had struck gold. The couple, once dismissed or mocked by others, was now the sole topic of conversation.
However, such fame was bound to draw unwanted attention, particularly concerning Teresa's unique abilities. Many from both the righteous Sects and the dark underworld would surely seek to exploit her. At the Golden Moon headquarters, the Oracle sat with five others, silently reviewing the latest reports.
